First i have to say i have been in a few mc ds in the past couple of days … This one is by far the cleanest best representation of a mc ds i have ever seen … So dont be rudly treated at the mc ds near the pink line 54th and cermak… Go to the one on Cermak and Harlem they are kind, fast they have free refils on the drinks and the dbl quarter with cheese was fresh … Didnt even ask for that … So if you have that mc d crave look no further this one is the best.

Yuck. Grungy. Not at all clean looking inside, humid and with a funny smell. No napkins to be found in the dining room — they dole out a napkin or two with each order as if they were gold. Like most McDonalds, no towels in the restrooms and doors open inward, so after using the toilet employees and customers must grab the door handle bare-handed. Why is this a bad thing? Because, if you will observe the customers, you will see many do not wash their hands. Employees may, but once they touch the pee-stained door handle, any value from hand washing is negated. This is why you need paper towels. Not to mention electric hand dryers are horrible for the environment because they use a ton of electricity. But that’s another story. Since McDonalds has so perfectly standardized what passes for food at these establishments, the only distinctions from one McDonalds to another are mainly service, cleanliness, and amenities. This one needs some work.

I usually stop here when I’m on the way to work if I haven’t eaten prior, just because it’s too much of a pain leaving westward at the one at Cermak & Ridgeland. The drive-thru is decent, but if you go inside to either dine in or carry out, expect to wait. Good lord, this place is slow. Plus they have modern-looking remodeling combined with also-recent wooden gazebo and Wild West/turn-of-the-century memorabilia thrown all over the place… WTF? It’s better than the one nearest me, but not great by any means. the food’s slightly better but they seriously need to speed up their service.
