My husband really enjoys Panda Express. We have eaten at various locations on the northside of Chicago and north suburbs. Moving to Berwyn he was happy to have a Panda Express in our new city. I stopped today to surprise him with the chow mien noodles he loves. I took my brother who is experiencing horrible chronic back pain that makes him walk like he’s 9 months pregnant. We are pretty unassuming people. My brother was simply wearing khaki’s, a tee shirt and cap. When we got there there was a early 20’s couple ahead of me. The person serving them, I believe was the manager, followed them filling their food. There was already a cashier at the register. When the«manager» got to the register with the young couple she told the worker to do something. I assumed it was to help the next customer in line, me. Instead the worker began wiping around the serving trays of food. When she finished she went and stood by the the manager at the register and chatted. My brother, who was in pain, starting walking around to help with his back pain. He looked at the different pictures that was on the walls. Finally the cashier came up to me and asked what I wanted. While she was filling the container the manager walked passed. She stopped filling the container and began to talk to the manager about the suspicious guy by the windows who didn’t order anything. They stood there staring at my brother and talking about him, rather than finishing my order. The manager then left and went to the cook to tell him about the suspicious guy, because they both looked at my brother right after she began talking to the cook. Finally able to leave I walked up to my brother whom they were watching and told him about how frightening and criminal a 5’5, veteran, no tattoos, and always easy going and friendly was. What a bad taste this Panda Express left in my mouth.

So I usually go in the afternoon not around 8:32 pm big mistake This place simply in one word was a clusterf__k. The Caucasian chef was yelling at the girl on the line to communicate what was needed on the line, she mumbled back at him or ignored him. The guy on the front line was screaming back at the chefs what was needed and the chefs were rolling their eyes. Then the Caucasian chef dropped a pan and picked up to place on the counter near the vegetables are kept for cooking the dishes. Then he turned around to cook again while rubbing his nose and brow of sweat with his bare hands. Will never go again.

Eat here once a week or so I always love this place, seems like other ones in the city taste dodgey but not this one! When you walk in & see Hong there, you know you will be purchasing a good, full-portioned meal Plus I’ve always liked those dumb little fortune cookies they give you with each meal

I dunno. It’s fine. Whatever. Orange chicken is a little fatty. Pretty much what you’d expect.

What I like about this restaurant the most(other than the food) is the staff. The manager is always smiling, and honestly seems happy to see you. And the staff is really great with kids. My daughter likes to try several different items before deciding on her order, and the staff never gets upset about the wait time. They even try to make suggestions to her about which items she should try and might like. I really appreciate that, as she and I have different tastes, and I tend to only order certain dishes. The food is never stale and never sits around for very long. Every time I’ve been to this restaurant, I see people cooking and exchanging old food trays with new ones. The eating area is always well maintained. A big bonus is the clean bathroom. I’m usually pretty skeptical about bathrooms in fast food places, but I can always count on the bathroom in this establishment to be clean. No one cares if I take a long leisurely lunch and read a book(which I normally do). If anything, someone will politely ask me if I need anything else. The portions are adequately sized; if anything, I leave completely full. I also enjoy the coupons that they give out from time to time; they always honor them and it definitely keeps me coming back.

Service and food was good but they lost brownie points when I saw 65% of the tables were dirty. I hate that. The whole time I was there I never saw anyone come out and clean up a bit.

I have to agree with Vivacious D’s review — this is a very clean, fast restaurant. The only time you ever have to wait is if they’re out of food and they’re making another batch, which rarely takes more than a few minutes. My only complaint is that they seem to be cutting way back on the amount of meat they give… anything with beef usually seems to have far more of the other ingredient(such as broccoli), so it feels sort of like a rip-off. To be fair, it isn’t just this location… it is likely a directive from the district offices. In short, it is not a bad option by any means, and the quality is good, but if you’re really feeling like Broccoli Beef, you could get nearly twice the amount of food at a place called Tasty House at Wisconsin & Roosevelt for about the same price, and they also have amazing food. For me, until they stop skimping on the«protein,» as Flat Top calls it, I will likely continue going elsewhere.

My friend Oscar and I were starving and didnt want to indulge in the greasy, cheesy gift called pizza. So we drove all over Riverside and Cicero trying to figure out where we wanted to eat. Then we passed by this Panda Express and decided on that. Yummm!!! This location is pretty big. Just opened up this past spring. We got in line and I realized they were out of a lot of stuff. I wanted fried rice, chow mein and vegetables. They didnt have veggies and very little chow mein. They served me my rice and chow mein and asked me to wait for my vegetables. We sat down and ate and waited for my veggies while Oscar waited for his chicken potstickers. I realized my chow mein was cold and tough. It was old. I bet it had been sitting there forever!!! Ugh!!! I was hungry and still ate it since I noticed they werent taking more out. 15 minutes later out come my veggies and 5 more minutes later come the potstickers. Lol. We refilled our drinks and left. I wasn’t impressed with this Panda. Not impressed at all.
