2 star atmosphere and 3 – 4 star food. CHEAP prices(but look where you are). Servers with character(and often a missing tooth). Got a great lunch here with the«fam» a few weeks ago. Breakfast any time and good coffee and tea.

Decent place to have breakfast. Our friends took us here Sunday for breakfast. Classic small town diner. We had their signature big breakfast which consist of eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes. Lots of food. It was good, nothing mind blowing, just diner good. Service was adequate. If you’re in the area, consider a stop here.

Basic dinner. OK food. Surly staff. Disappointing. Restaurant was empty, music was blaring, we asked to turned down radio and got a snide response.

Only our second time here for dinner. Last week we had popped in kinda late, but the owner was very accommodating in serving us the honey dipped chicken basket that we were jonesing for. It was pretty decent for diner food, and very reasonably priced. We stopped in again tonight, wanting the same chicken basket, but a very confused young waitress obviously had no idea what we were trying to order. She checked with the manager, who we overheard telling her that they no longer had it. My wife then ordered the roast chicken special, and was told they didn’t have that, either. I asked for the chicken cordon blue, and was met with a blank stare. Do they have something against chickens?, I wondered. I then asked if they had ANY chicken dishes, and the waitress thought that maybe they had«like those chicken tender things.» Hoo– boy. My wife had the«chicken tender things» and I settled for a burger. The food was average, but there was a lot of it, and it was reasonably priced. And as another reviewer noted, the motel(flop house) in the rear is pretty creepy! We would probably return if it was convenient to do so, but not if there were other options.

Great place to come for breakfast. I was impressed by their omelets — I had the spinach omelette. I must have read the menu wrong b/c I thought it would come with feta and to my disappointment — no feta. Still, it was really tasty and a solid size. Perfect the morning of a wedding(I knew I wouldn’t be eating again until the 5:30 cocktail hour). For under $ 5(if my memory serves me well…) you can’t beat it!

The fact that the Golden View is practically in my backyard is a plus. The fact that the Golden View Diner is actually«The Golden View Diner/MOTEL» is just a little weird. There’s a dirt motel sharing the parking lot and I’m not going to downplay the creepy, here. It’s weird, BUT the diner has decent food, friendly staff, and it’s cheap, so we’re repeat customers. The food is average– the omelettes taste homemade and they’re fairly large, if really heavy on the feta, if included. The menu is your standard diner fare, though lacking matzoh ball soup. All tears aside, the diner is pretty good, but we’ve only tried the breakfast menu. The pancakes are pretty tasty, if they’re only standard-to-average diner fare. The smoking section is large, thus the smoke can be a bit too prevalent.
