Excellent. Food and service were outstanding. No complaints here.

Went here for graduation with family because I have never been here and wanted to try it. Menu varies from fish and steak to pizza and sushi which is nice if you go with someone who doesn’t like fish. There Kingfish strawberry drink wasn’t as refreshing more alcoholic than expected but the food was good and I would go back if I was in the area. Tempura fries are a must if going, very good.

Came here for a Birthday Dinner and we were more than happy with our choice. The atmosphere was nice, the staff was friendly and the food was absolutely Amazing. To start off they gave complementary bread along with there own house made apricot butter, YUMMMM. We had a drink each which were so delicious and refreshing(moscow mule and cucumber basil) as a starter we ordered there seafood bisque, which was Out of This World… you can see and taste all the fresh seafood in the bisque.. My partner had the surf and turf which from her options she picked a ribeye steak and lobster tail(each choice has a price) example. cowboy cut ribeye was 26.00 dollars and 4oz lobster tail was 20. I had the Scallops with Risotto for dinner. Unfortunately we didn’t make room for desert. Overall from start to finish we loved everything about Kingfish, we had no complaints. We will continue to come here to try other foods including there Sushi which everyone seemed to order there. I also saw that they have a nice happy hour and daily specials.

Sushi was very good, other food and service were very good. Not sure if it is a 5 star place for the prices they charge. My wife was disappointed that they did not carry Moscato wine.

Went here with 7 other people last night. It was my first time dining at Kingfish, and I would definitely return. The prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for. I had the sushi, and it was very good. The Japanese Fries were also delicious! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I would order them again. Our server was very nice and attentive, though I felt bad that she was the only server in the banquet room, where 2 other large parties were seated. Even with the amount of people she had to attend to, she did a great job. Can’t wait to return!

We went here for a Christmas dinner with my mother-in-law. Her neighbor told us it was a nice place to get a really good meal. They are owned by the same owners of Beck’s Land and Sea. We were sure to get reservations in case it was crowded(it was quiet), and they were kind enough to set aside a table close to the door so my mother-in-law did not have to walk to far(bad knees). I would say that the ambiance is a little cool, they could probably tweak it a little to make it a little warmer and cozier. So for the appetizers, we got a special, Salmon Pastrami — excellent, and the Japanese fries, I loved them but the rest of the family just thought they were weird… and a shrimp cocktail, very nice. We all got wedge salads, we are wedge salad lovers and they were excellent. My son got the Neapolitan pizza and really enjoyed it. My husband had a steak and enjoyed every bite. I got the sea bass that sat very cutely on top of asparagus sushi, with two stalks of very lovely asparagus, I relished it til the end… My mother-in-law got the crab cakes, she likes to sample them whereever we go and and she said they were in her top 5. The hit of the meal though, was the creamed corn — it sounds stupid but this dish was so insanely delicious you could shove the entire bowl in your mouth, and then order another one… it had bacon, but what put it over the top was the poblano pepper. I dream about that corn, sigh. My only other minor complaint is that they didn’t have a very large beer selection for my husband, and I had a rough time deciding which wine to have with my meal, it seemed like an odd list of choices, but that might have been my own ignorance — but the waitress really couldn’t help me make the right choice, and she should be trained in that. Lastly my m-i-l ordered the lobster mac and cheese for home, it was good and had large chunks of lobster, but it was more like a pasta dish then mac and cheese, they used a large curly pasta like a cellantani, so it was more awkward to eat, we all would have preferred a smaller shape. All in all, a good meal, good waitress and an enjoyable evening. We will be back. But we are trying Becks Land and Sea next.

Went here for dinner friday night. Amazing food and very good service ! We started with the Bistro salad. Dark greens with a wonderful balsamic dressing, mixed in with sliced pears, carmalized walnuts, pancetta bacon bits and a slice of breaded goat cheese. Fantastic !! My wife ordered the crab mac and cheese and I ordered the pork chop marsala. YUM !!! Both entrée rocked !! My Marsala sauce was very tasty and loaded with mushrooms. The chop was perfectly cooked and tasted great ! For dessert, she got the Sticky toffee pudding cake… soo rich !! and I got a piece of cheese cake. Delicious !! Cannot wait to go back !!

Today is my wife birthday and believe it or not we are in Bethelem PA. As a French guy lost in PA, we have been invited to a special private event at the kingfish for a wine tasting. So coming from LIC I was not sure what to except and I can only say: I was blown away. As a matter of fact the tasting menu was terrific one of our favorite was the gnocchi with winter perigord truffle(out of this world) the salmon belly sushi was a dream, the veal chop perfectly executed. I was also extremely happy about the fact that the portions were indeed perfectly sized and gave you the chance to enjoy each single bite till the end of the menu. the wine pairing with Mario Andretti’s small productions worked perfectly out and every single wine was a master piece. The Cabernet personally was my favorite but also special mention for the Chardonnay that developed a palette of aromas that we rarely found in similar wines from the region. The atmosphere of the kingfish is an elegant combination of casual and elegance and indeed complements the rest. last but not least the review will not be complete without mentioning the top of the line service that made the full experience unforgettable. Special thanks to Eric for having taking such good care of us. it is always remarkable to see people working for a place with such an enthusiasm. Kingfish is definitely itself a travel reason to make it from NYC to Bethlehem. Was this review ???

Excellent, excellent, excellent! This restaurant was absolutely fantastic! Got together for a nice dinner and this place was picked at the last minute because my brother had heard good things. We were not disappointed. We started with sushi which we thought might not be the best but we were all craving it. The sushi was rally good! it was simple but fresh and tasty. I recommend it as an appetizer. Is definitely get it for take out, though there are only a few varieties of rolls. For dinner I did the build your own surf and turf. I had the cowboy cut steak(can’t remember which cut) and the scallops. The steak was huge and cooked just right with vet nice seasoning. The scallops were broiled and dine properly. I had the butternut squash as a side. It was very tasty. My fiancé had the 8oz lobster tail with coconut shrimp and the house fries. All of it was excellent. The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars was because of the service. The entrées were mixed up and a side of mushrooms and onions was forgotten. Nothing too terrible. Our waitress was a young girl probably on high school so I’m sure she was not that experienced which at the end of the day was really not a big deal. I’d do 4 ½ stars if we could. I recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Lehigh Valley! Certainly worth it!

I think this is a great spot for a romantic date night with the other half. I was craving seafood when I came into town and he suggested this was a new place open. It can be a little pricey and that’s why I say the date night thing, it doesn’t have to be every night but hey, it can be once a month right?! He said this location has changed a number of times in the last few years and I think it is due to the fact that it’s not in the«heart» of Bethlehem where everything else is, but I think it’s worth going to. We ordered some wine and beer, I love Moscato nowadays! I ordered the scallops with asparagus risotto and I am watering at the mouth thinking about those scallops. He ordered some sushi and the crap cake and he really enjoyed the sushi. He ordered the crab cake as his meal because he was so full on the sushi but he spoke highly of it. I was super happy by the end of the meal so I recommend it if you’re in the area. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. He didn’t seem pissed we were one of the last people in the entire restaurant so kudos to him! Check it out!

A few Tuesday’s ago, my mom and I wanted to goto Kingfish for their sushi night. The initial service was speedy, we were greeted promptly and asked for our drink order. We then sat at the bar and placed our order after sitting several minutes with closed menus. We ordered 2 salads and 3 sushi rolls. Our salads took about 30 minutes. Not a huge deal, we were having cocktails and catching up. An hour and a half later we still had no sushi and the bartenders failed to check in and provide updates about the major delay regarding our food. Finally we inquired about our food and were informed it would be a little longer due to a large party. At this point, we were frustrated and starving and asked for our check. We received our check with an up charge on the wine. I brought it to their attention and they resolved it. I gave Kingfish 2 stars because I have eaten there before and it was ok. This particular night I think the situation could have been handled better. I have personally been in this situation before, on the other side of the bar and offered my customers a round of drinks on the house or at the very least, a discounted bill. If this situation was handled differently I would give Kingfish another try.

Dinner last night at 7:30. Eric was our server. Four people at the corner table. We shared the CHARCUTERIE board which was very good. Would have enjoyed prosciutto instead of the salami, but that’s personal taste. The presentation was great and it was perfect for four without making us too full to enjoy the rest of our dinners. Salads: Caprese and Bistro. Both excellent and again, presented so well. Then came dinners. Wow! The surf ‘n turf portion of the menu is a great idea. Two people at our table each had the 8oz lobster tail with 5oz filet done Pittsburgh. One person had the large lobster tail with the side of the creamed corn. Yes creamed corn. GETTHISSIDE! Then our final guest had the crab legs, which is a new feature on the menu. We laughed because he didn’t say a word the whole time he ate the legs except for some grunts and a mumbling«wow». Food was impressive. Eric was attentive, professional, and made suggestions which complemented our fun night. Can’t wait to go back. All four of us were very pleased. Lobster was impressive.

If you’ve ever been to Beck’s Land and Sea in Bath then you’ll be happy to know that Kingfish is the same owners. The menu is similar and is heavily seafood based with a modern twist. For the nonseafood fans there are steaks and pork chops as well. Inside it looks pretty much the same as it did when it was La Tolteca, maybe a bit brighter. We came on a Tuesday evening and it was not crazy busy so we got to relax and enjoy our meals. Our server Rachel was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The menu is quite large, they have an option to create your own surf and turf combo which is pretty cool, the price varies depending on what you pick. Their wine and martini list is also quite extensive. Tuesday’s is sushi night, buy two get one free. Friday’s I believe is lobster night, and they have a couple other week day specials. We didn’t try the sushi but it looked great. I had the beet salad to start, it was fresh beets, oranges and goat cheese drizzled with balsamic and was delicious. For dinner I had the scallops served over asparagus risotto with shiitake mushroom. It was mouth watering good! Also in our party we had the surf and turf with filet and a lobster tail which reportedly was outstanding and the halibut special which was also a hit. For dessert we all shared the sticky toffee cake with salted caramel ice cream-dangerously good. Overall, I was really impressed with both the food and service. If there was anything I would change it would be the rolls they serve before dinner, they were kind of hard but came with a fabulous apricot butter. Come here, you won’t regret it!

Had dinner here on a Friday night with my family. Very impressed with the entry to the restaurant, seems nicely remodeled and very high end. The interior is a little on the cold side with tile flooring and tables without tablecloths, but still very nice. Some slight adjustments could be made to create a warmer feeling. The food was excellent, and that is the only reason this place is getting 3 stars… the service and experience left a lot to be desired. Food: For appetizers we had fried calamari, a margarita pizza with applewood bacon, the tropical sushi roll, and some oysters. All were great. We ordered a variety of entrees that were all very good but the sea bass seemed to be the winner of the group. Dessert was meh and I’d skip it next time — your better off getting something elsewhere. Experience: We were promptly seated for our reservation which was great because we had 3 hungry kids with us. I noticed all the other tables had bread… we didn’t get bread until I asked for it, and it was over 15 minutes after we had sat down until we had it. I was hoping the waitress would have just brought it out, especially with the kids, but she seemed to be somewhat of a scatterbrain(more of that later). One of our entrees did not arrive with the rest, leaving one of the adults without a dinner. The waitress informed us that it would be right out, but we had to wait at least 5 minutes for it, which is an eternity when you are sitting there with food getting cold and you just want to eat it. I would have preferred for them to have just kept our food warm in the back and bring it all out at once… but I think she probably forgot to put in the order. Waitress offered some lame excuse about the oven being backed up, would have appreciated some honesty and a sincere apology. After the meal we ordered dessert and teas. Barely warm water was served in cups that resembled a children’s tea set. You could literally finish the tea in one shot. I asked the waitress to bring us out a pot of hot water, explaining that 1. we needed more and 2. because the original water wasn’t hot. She came back out with a coffee pot that was used to warm the water and refilled all our glasses… but the water was colder than the first time! Don’t you think she would have checked the water temp before coming back out? At least throw it in the microwave, please! There was a handful of other shotty service notes, including slow service, forgotten requests, and forgetting to bring the leftovers out. I try not to be too much of a stickler, but when you are paying $ 30/entrée I expect quality well thought out service. I mainly blame the owners and management for not being more on top of their staff and ensuring everything runs seemlessly and flawless. As I said, the food was excellent, but I expect much more that just great food when we drop a few hundred dollars for dinner. Hopefully Kingfish cleans up their act, because there is tough competition in this marketplace.

Four of us visited on a recent Friday night and had an excellent experience. Japanese shoestring fries, inventive beers and Martinis, spectacular entrees, and terrific service made for a great night. The menu appears daunting at first, in fact I was reminded of a diner menu. But, once you break out the sushi from the apps, it is not as large as it first appears. Also, the pick your own surf and turf was creative but caused a lot of extra dialog about them menu. Do you want sushi, sashimi, Thai, filet, prime pork chop, pizza, and a choice of 8 sides? Thankfully our server, Eric, was very helpful. He did a nice job on both the menu and beverages. He also accommodated our desire for a leisurely evening. We were there over 2 hours and never felt rushed. The place was full, but not packed so Eric seemed to appreciate our pace. We noticed the sound absorbing material on the ceiling so it was good to see that the owners were making an effort to control noise. Nice touch. The room was lively but not so noisy we could not talk. Our food was excellent. Sea Bass, Mac and Cheese, Swordfish and short rib were all delicious. Although excellent, none of the dishes were the best we ever ate of that meal. In fact, that is probably the reason I avoided 5 stars. Highly recommended, we will be back.

After driving past this place several times on my way to Bethlehem and seeing the nicely crafted and well lit exterior of this place, I brought the fiancée here after work one night for a dinner. They have a wonderful setup with a high end, yet casual ambiance. They have a wine bar near the entrance at the rear of the establishment that seats about a dozen and a reasonably sized dining room separated from the bar at the front. They did have bread available, which I could not partake in. However, my fiancée had it and said the warm roll and apricot butter spread they provided was good. She also loved their pear martini from the bar that she ordered with dinner. For dinner this night, I was more in the mood for sampling as many small plates as possible, so I ended up having the Sicilian Clams, Scallops & Bacon, and the Colossal Crab Cocktail. My fiancée also had the crab cocktail and had their South African Lobster Tail as an entrée. First off, everything had great flavor and was cooked properly. As a highlight, the creamed corn that comes with the Scallops & Bacon was described to me as one of the better comfort foods my fiancée had; she enjoyed it so much she ended up having it as a side with her lobster tail. Although I could tell bacon was present in the Scallops & Bacon dish, I wish they would have highlighted the bacon a bit more on the dish, but overall it was delightful. The service here was excellent. Our server Eric was friendly and accommodating. He owned my gluten free needs and confirmed everything I ordered didn’t have any hidden wheat ingredients with the kitchen. He was also offered to change my fiancées side dish from Brussel sprouts to the creamed corn when she raved about how awesome it was. Unfortunately, neither of us had the sushi. I had that for lunch, so was a little taxed at the idea of more by the time we got here. However, their menu for sushi is excellent. Moreover, if you can do the wheat thing, their artisan pizzas also look excellent. Overall, a great dining experience. It was very good and worth the stop!
