We fell in love with the chef. Delicious and fresh nigiri. The only downside is that you smell like a deep fried shrimp tempura upon departure

Hands down, my favorite sushi place in the Lehigh Valley!!! The quality is excellent, the service is great, and I always love a BYOB restaurant. Highly recommend!

I will premise my review that I’ve only eaten here once, so take it with a grain of salt. But then again, it was only mediocre, which is why I haven’t returned. I ordered two different roles, one of which had salmon on it that didn’t taste quite the freshest. The roles were generally very bland and flavorless. Again, I’ve only eaten here once so perhaps it’s better than my experience — but what I experienced certainly didn’t leave me desiring more.

Best sushi in the Lehigh Valley. Highly recommend the Super Jungle Roll — our favorite. We ordered it a second time for dessert!

Five stars BECAUSE, I have spent four years eating here with the most drunk, annoying, irrational, college hyped IDIOTS and the staff is phenomenal. They know how to wrangle 33 people, with a crowded restaurant. Enjoy your party here or, have a causal take out, or meal when you ask them how«busy» they are, first. Also, the sushi is yum.

If you think the atmosphere here is «relaxed», please visit on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night when Lehigh is in session. The sushi is small and mediocre but nobody goes to Asian Bistro just because they want sushi. I hate it when I get invited to go here because I know I’m going to end up shelling out fifty bucks to eat my fill.

I love this place! The sushi(both specialty rolls and regular rolls) are delicious, as is the miso soup. It’s on the south side of Bethlehem, right near Lehigh’s campus. I’ve tried several other sushi restaurants in the area and so far this one is my favorite. The waitress we usually have is phenomenal! She is always so friendly and attentive when we are there. However, the reason I give it 4 stars is that the restaurant is sometimes overtaken by large groups of Lehigh students, usually from a fraternity. It’s happened to me twice while dining there(once on a Friday night when we sat down but had to wait too long and couldn’t stay because there was a party of 40 students already there, and more coming in who were not accounted for in the initial reservation) and another time as we were leaving during the week, another party of 40 students was showing up. This is not the restaurant’s fault, but is quite annoying to customers. It’s a small enough restaurant that cannot really handle this type of party(which in my experience, has seemed somewhat rowdy and rude), especially when more people show up than expected.

Good selection of sushi, relaxed atmosphere, mostly college kids go here. Can sometimes get loud but most of the time is laid back. I like that there is a parking lot right next to it(have to pay at an automatic station) so no issues finding a spot. Food quality to me was just OK. But its great that its BYOB. Can’t give a 3.5, so I’d say its closer to a 3 than a 4.

Has been at least 3 years since I visited this place so we were surprised to find ourselves there after 9:30 on a first Friday in South Bethlehem. Our petite waitress said it had been slow since much of their business comes from students at Lehigh University. Ah, yes, I remember my college experience well. Dining on $ 2.75 sushi pieces, sipping my favorite Pinot Grigio. Oh wait, I think I was getting drafts for $.35 and getting a dozen clams for a buck. Anyway, memories aside, our meal was fantastic. Only two other tables were seated and the sushi chef was just beginning to relax. It goes without saying that you don’t get the best sushi when the chef is harried and busy. We started with Beef Negamaki which was very good, not the best I ever had but very good indeed. Next up where four pieces of sushi that were all fantastic: tuna, white tuna, Maguro, and Yellow Tail. Each piece was a generous cut and laid across perfectly cooked sushi rice. Delicious. Blue Jewel, Viper and Jungle rolls came next and turned out to be the perfect trio of complementary flavors. The rolls were also priced right, $ 12. Some places charge $ 16 for a similar sized roll and will add an extra type of fish but in truth that just increases the price with almost no additional flavor benefit. These rolls had just 3 or 4 ingredients and maybe two fishes so the flavors jumped out. So, BYOB and be sure to visit when school is not in.

Not just great, fresh sushi, but you must try some if the kitchen appetizers. Rock Shrimp is cooked nicely with a creamy citrus flavored sauce, just for one. Also recommend Isobeage, Shumai and Gyoza. For sushi, you’ll want to order the White Sands Roll.

Did takeout sushi and it was delicious and wonderfully packaged. Will definitely try again perhaps for a special occasion because they are not cheap!

4+ stars for some sushi! my pal brought me here, hes a local and has this place down cold. he also claims a 5% miss ratio, so id be cautious on mondays, but overall, i was full! expensive but i suppose you gotta expect some bucks if you wanna fill up on nice tuna. i found my teka maki a little low on tuna, but the sushi(tuna and salmon) were very well prepared. i also called an audible roll and they accommodated. we went at 430 on a friday, empty, great service, take that preppies.

This is a great little family run restaurant and I have always been very happy with the food and service here. They have great sushi rolls at a good price — especially the specialty rolls like the Jungle Roll. There may be a bit of a wait on the food, but it’s worth the wait! If you don’t like sharing the space with Lehigh students, weeknights are typically quieter.

Good sushi. Not so great atmosphere. Got there at 7:45 on Friday night. Three large tables already filled with 4 – 6 college kids and rest all reserved. Only room for us two was at sushi bar. Totally fine; however, would have preferred to not have to listen to loud and obnoxious girls all night(tables away, too) who had clearly had too much from their jugs of wine. As we finished up, table of 25+ of what I assume to be more Lehigh kids came in with cases of Natty light and handles of vodka. The table of ten girls next to us was more than we could handle and were happy that our food was quick and service was prompt. In and out in 25 minutes with a shrimp app and four sushi rolls. Had been there a few times in past few years(last time was at least 9 months ago or so). Never felt like we were the only non-Lehigh students. We’ll stick to One Third for their atmosphere.

Yummy sushi! So Good. Don’t get salad with ginger dressing though way too strong. See below the yummy rolls and stuff we devoured… Philly Roll Spicy tuna roll with tempura flakes and avocado topped with lobster salad. Super Jungle Roll Eel, salmon, white fish, tuna wrapped and tempura-fried with spicy scallion sauce. Yum and double yum!!! & my friend got one of their new signature rolls«white» something. I had one of them. It was prob close to one of the best rolls I ever tried. Also Korokke(Mashed potato, onion and beef, deep fried with bread crumbs.) app is worth coming off any diet you are on.

I’ve go to Twenty Four every time I visit my boyfriend in Lehigh. We are native new yorkers, and there are many many sushi restaurants to choose from. We were a bit skeptical about visiting a college town sushi joint, but we were so wrong! The customers are mainly college kids, and they can be understaffed at busier times, so plan to go around 6 – 7. This sushi restaurant is delicious, authentic, and just a quick walk down campus. Most cheap sushi joints are staffed by koreans or chinese, but the sushi chef is genuinely a japanese sushi chef! The sashimi is surprisingly fresh, and they prepare some great specialty rolls: My favorite is the jungle roll, and the godzilla. The fried banana here is the best I’ve ever tasted! Also, you can also bring your own wine! Simply walk to the local liquor store down the block and grab a nice white wine with your date, and you’re set! Can’t wait to go there again!

Definitely one of the top places of it’s kind in the Valley. Some of the reviews are way too harsh. We’ve been here at least a dozen times. It’s never been wildly inconsistent or ever outright bad, though it does get a little slower service wise if they are busy as hell during peak periods on Friday/Saturday nights. But, who doesn’t? Only bad experience was when a huge pack of Lehigh students came in & basically took over the place. It wouldn’t have been a big deal at all, but a handful of them were particularly loud & obnoxious, which made it impossible for anyone else in there to enjoy their meals. It was an anomaly, though, and there’s no blaming 24 East for that. The sushi, apps & meals are very good, the service is excellent & it’s BYOB.

Full Disclaimer: Do not go here on a friday or saturday night unless you plan on making it a three + hour ordeal. My fiancée and i came here at 8:30 to grab some sushi before an 11:15 movie with a bottle of white wine in hand. I immediately noticed that a) this place was completely full and b) everyone seemed to have an alcohol problem since everyone there had brought a 1.5L bottle of wine for a two top or a case of beer/box of wine for a table. I soon realized why… To call this place SLOW is a gross understatement. On a saturday night in a 60+ seat place there was ONE guy making sushi and TWO servers. We waited a half hour to be seated(we had a reservation) and then over two hours to get sushi. Our bottle of wine by then was long gone(i had already looked up close liquor stores to see if i could reload) and many tables were starting to revolt and walk out. Needless to say, there was no hope of making our movie as we didn’t get out of there until 11:30(and we ate our sushi quickly since we were famished). The quality of the sushi was good, especially those with the lobster salad, but my god man, hire more people!
