Not a great Starbucks. It is really just the staff. They mumble when speaking and get annoyed if you ask them to speak up. They aren’t friendly to customers but have no problems talking to each other. If you like Starbucks and you are in the airport you will probably get what you want but you will walk away thinking«man, those people hate there job.»

They get the job done in a normal fashion I suppose. It’s 7am and there were actually quite a few folks ahead of me. I was served with a smile and my wait wasn’t really any longer than I’d expect to wait were I the only one there. The cashier held up the size cup that I ordered(tall) just to ensure that’s exactly what I wanted. That’s probably important for anyone like myself who only has starbucks a few times a year. No complaints here!

Customer service equates the behaviors makes me think Im in the Philly airport, or ATL. Please, girl with 2 in long eyelashes and vampire nails, make sure you dont bat your eyes over anyones coffee… i dont wanna drink your sassy lashes! And your attitude… Gurl, do you realize there’s 20 people who would like to have a job, actually know what a smile is and at least pretend to be happy? Guessing that little grunted ‘hmmph’ was your way of communicating. Public education at it’s finest. And mr make my coffee, remember me? Just 30 seconds. before you started making my caramel Maki auto I said not too sweet and very little caramel. Really didn’t want half the bottle and saying STOP three times apparently doesn’t mean anything. WHICH language would you like me to use… grunting like your ever so sweet co-worker? Sheesh. Starbucks manager for the airport Starbucks, you need to up your game and work on your employee customer service.

Your typical Starbucks joint in an airport. Stopped in around 5AM, and while there were three folks ahead of me, the barista made sure that she kept up with dink orders and the line moved pretty quickly. Can’t comment on speed of things at busier times.

This review may be not be an accurate representation of the service here later in the day. I was catching the first flight out in the AM, so I was one of the first customers. Service was slow to order — cashier wanted to draw my attention to their new products despite the growing line and fumbled to find the proper utensils to handle a warm croissant. Barista was fast; I waited no more than a minute for a chai tea latte. The latte itself seemed a lot sweeter than usual, though.

I hear that in Unilocal the star ratings don’t matter much b/c ppl either rate bizs all five stars or one. My rating could be a one for this place because they did not oblige to brew a Venti cup of Guatemalan Casi Cielo for me as do most other Bucks and the fact that this is a single-man show whereby one barista takes the order, makes cash and concots the varuous brews while the other barista is on break — taking at least ten minutes to get to the register even if only a couple of folks in front of you. But on balance, the place is tidy and convenient — Has a small, albeit accessible community seating dining area with view of the terminal. No charging outlets nearby though.

While Birmingham airport is not a social hub it does have 2 Starbucks, on at each end the 2 football field sized terminal. Usually when I travel down south to visit my parents I go through Huntsville airport which is rather lacking on good coffee choices. So I was quite pleased to be able to enjoy a Tall mocha latte. Plus the barista was a very attractive young black woman who made me wish I had a couple of hours to kill getting to know her.

Birmingham’s isn’t the biggest airport, that they have a Starbucks is a good thing. Because you can’t bring more than 3 ounces past security, how else can you get your caffeine fix as you wait for your flight? My slightly complicated order was taken quickly and my double tall skinny hazelnut latte was ready before I had time to put my cell phone back into my pocket. Yep, this Starbucks has the scanner to accept the phone app.

Opens at 4AM and closes after last flight lands. Nice, friendly staff and surprisingly, no line. This is probably because this shop is, or was, not listed on apps, since it’s new. It’s your typical Starbucks, just without the huge line.
