Used to be better under previous ownership. Don’t appreciate«special customers» being seated in front of people who have been waiting. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I’ll be going to the lamp post from now on.

Classic jersey diner fare in a bright chrome setting. Large & reasonable lunch specials bring the crowds. They also have mini & regular dinner specials, the obligatory 10 page menu and a salad bar(unusual but seemingly popular here). It’s a tight squeeze inside and the parking lot fills up fast during peak hours. The food itself was standard. Big portions of decent food to me means the experience really hinges on the service. One day I had a super friendly & accommodating waitress who packed up my rice pudding from lunch to-go. The next time I was charged for the supposedly included free dessert. So it goes…

Nice and clean, friendly staff, but food just wasn’t all that good. I’d give them another chance though.

In my opinion, Meadows Diner is one of the best diners in the South Jersey area. What separates Meadows from the other diners is their consistency. I’ve never had a bad experience with the food, nor the service. The family that owns the place are extremely friendly too. You’ll never have a bad meal at Meadows.

Breakfast only review. Cool chrome encrusted diner that is very cozy and clean inside. I loved all the booths that were available. And I was impressed with the customer service provided by the owner or manager as well as our server. My gf opted for the pumpkin pancake special. They accommodated her request for chocolate chips to be added. A good take on this fall favorite, but a spiced whipped cream or nuts would have really nailed this dish. My choice was an omelette that caught my eye, genoa salami provolone. It was ok, but sounded better than it tasted. The hash browns were pretty bland, no onions or slices added while cooking, so I tried my best to correct with salt and pepper. I would order a dish that didn’t include tatters on future visits. We have possibly been spoiled by another establishment when it comes to breakfast, a lunch visit might give me a better perspective on this shiny spot. 3.5 I’d hate to be the person who has to clean all that chrome Unilocal

Midcentury moderne décor. Lots of chrome. Sunday morning breakfast. Scrapple and blueberry pancakes. Other local favorites on the menu, pork roll and cream chipped beef among others. Place was doing a brisk business, but we came in before the rush. Staff friendly and efficient. Returns visits are a must. Tried the breakfast muffin sandwich: English muffin, fried egg. cheese and… Wait for it… Pork Roll! Awesomeness.

I visited during peak lunch rush mid week. The place smelled like dirty diapers and with all the old timers around i see why. The parking lot was jam packed and after illiegally parking i noticed what may be a spot on the corner. Luckily it was! We were greeted and seated right away. I ordered the cajun chicken ceasar wrap which comes with a cup of chicken noodle and a choice of pudding or other dessert(i cant remember the second choice). I declined both. The side of fries that were included were dried and tasted like the oil hadnt been changed in years. I ate 2. The wrap itself was fine but the chicken was fatty and it kept dripping everywhere. With the one paper towel allowance it was not a fun experience. We saw the waitress on 3 ocassions once when she took our drink order, when she took our food order, and 30 minutes later when she was walking past and we inquired about the bill. I am nicer than most and initially gave it 2 stars but after reading my own review a one star seems generous. Do yourself a favor and drive in the opposite direction and dine at the Phily Diner!

I love this place! The staff is amazing. From the management to servers to busers. Everyone seems extremely happy and pleasant to deal with. Only been for breakfast but the service is quick and food is typical diner food. I think the fact that everyone is so pleasant is why I go back again and again!

So this is a delayed review because I forgot the name of this place, but figured it out via google street view. I came here the day after the final day of the bar exam. I was drained in every conceivable way, and had a hangover(thanks, AC) that could only be cured with the best, most gluttonous diner breakfast. Everything my gf and I ordered was great. I got basically every breakfast item on the menu(pancakes, eggs, hash browns, bacon, toast, sausage) and she got the cheesesteak. Including a basket of great onion rings to start and 20% tip, it was only about $ 30, which is what I’m used to paying per head for a weekend brunch. I’m crafting an excuse to travel over the bridge just to get some great homestyle diner food.

In two words, phenomenal meal. … I had breakfast here, and it was there hash dish, which was homemade, with cherry peppers spicy sausage, and very nice seasoning to boot. We honestly stumbled onto this one, hoping for the best. They hit the bullseye. Good job folks… :)

This place is across the street from where I grew up. I’ve been here hundreds of times mainly for breakfast, but for lunch as well. They have a good salad bar, soup selection and a solid breakfast special(French toast, pancakes, bacon, eggs, etc). The prices are super cheap and it’s everything you could imagine that a traditional diner entails. I recently ordered the breakfast sandwich(on a croissant) when I was back home over Christmas vacation. It was better than I thought it was going to be.

Pretty solid diner in a state that has almost 1 diner per square mile. As a matter of fact, the Meadows Diner is one of the best diners along the Black Horse Pike and is certainly the best diner on Route 168. Expect typical diner fare at reasonable prices w/hot coffee and service with a smile. My bacon and cheddar omelette had plenty of both and my waitress made sure that my cup was never less than half full. You won’t find any lounges, cocktails, or any of that fancy stuff, just a classic Jersey diner, and that’s all you need my friends. Come and experience it for yourself!

My wife and I were in the mood for a different diner experience this past weekend, so we decided to head on over to Meadows. Upon our arrival, we noticed that the parking lot was almost full, so we were expecting to have wait once we got inside. To our surprise, the hostess, who may be the sweetest lady I have ever met, sat us in a matter of minutes. As other reviewers have stated, as long as you go in with diner expectations, you will not be disappointed. I ordered the country omelette, which came with usual diner fare, hash browns and toast. I also got a single pancake. The omelette was very good, even though the kitchen forgot the american cheese. The hash browns were very good as well, but the pancake was a different story. I like my pancakes to have a cake like texture and these were more sponge-like. With that said, I am giving it 3 stars only because the omelette came without cheese. We will definitely be going back!

Stopped at Meadows Diner for breakfast on our way to the Beach. The owner was greeting regular customers by name, and giving them all a kiss. There were a lot of regulars! This was our first time here, so no kiss. I ordered eggs, toast and potatoes, which came with coffee and juice for $ 5.59. Great deal! My husband ordered chipped beef and potatoes, and a side of French toast. We shared. The French toast was pretty good, it had a nice flavor of cinnamon. The eggs were good, not greasy at all. The potatoes were the best. They were crispy on the outside, and very tasty on the inside, and not greasy. Usually potatoes like this are tasteless on the inside. I think they bake the potatoes, instead of boil them. We both liked the chipped beef ok, but agreed we wouldn’t order that if we come back. Overall it was a great experience. Good service.

Absolutely delicious diner food. We all have our favorites. The best time for me is breakfast but lunch is also ok. It’s an average NJ diner. The servers always take care of us. There’s a lot of regulars here and you really get that small town feel when dining here. A diner like this should be the highlight of many small towns across the US. I’m glad to have this place in my backyard. We’ll continue to bring the family in.

My family and I have been going to Meadows diner for as long as I can remember. Meadows is a great diner to eat at whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you do plan on making a trip to this local’s favorite dinner. don’t plan on going on a Sunday afternoon after church lets out because there will be a wait! However, the staff is very family oriented, friendly, and most of all: accommodating. I have had everything on their breakfast menu before and it is all delicious. My father is a big fan of the S.O.S. Creamed chip beef and highly recommends that. My sister always goes for the French toast and I prefer a spinach omelette. The chicken quesadilla is also popular and hearty but one of my favorites is their chicken parm and/or chicken parm sandwich. If you have saved enough room, go for their cheesecake! Every time I go there, I’ll either get it to go or eat it there and they are very generous with their cake portion sizes. Overall, definitely a local favorite diner and a great place to eat.

We stopped in tonight for dinner since we happened to be in that part of town and it was a great experience. We were seated promptly and the service was good. The menu was extensive and with dinner, you get both soup and a salad bar. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and the portion was huge — after the soup, salad bar and bread — the entrée could have been half the size it was for me. My other half ordered the roasted half spring chicken and was very happy with his meal as well. Both entrees were well seasoned and tasty. We both had coffee and no dessert — just no room! Great traditional New Jersey Greek-run diner, classic stainless steel diner on the outside — expanded dining room on the inside. It’s well-worn, packed to the gills and filled with great service and great food — what more can you ask for from a diner?

So, it’s my day off & I had a hankering for a non-chain breakfast. What was I thinking, I live in NJ, home of the world’s most diners. Nothing too different in the décor here from most other diners that I’ve dined. Large and small booths, counter tops space and open air kitchen so you can see the cooks doing their«diner magic». Before I ordered I asked the waitress what size were the pancakes so I could determine if I wanted a short stack or a regular pancake. Surprisingly, the waitress was unable to use words or hand gestures to indicate the size of the pancakes. Her only answer was I don’t know they are«pretty big». Okay,… So, I ordered a single pancake, turkey sausage, home fries and a small oj. Hmmmpff… 1st impression, too much food which is customary at diners but I was overwhelmed with the amount. The plate sized pancake was okay but nothing special. I didn’t like the taste of the turkey sausage because it was bland and no kick in the taste. Homefries was the redeeming factor of the meal however the amount could have fed 3 other people. Small oj was good but the size of the small was about 2 – 3 sizes larger than a shot glass compared to the large which was in a 16 oz. glass. Overall experience was average. Not horrible but also not memorable either.
