Best restaurant in town! From subs, dinner, pizza and staff, I always have the best experience. Have to have at least twice a month because it’s one of the best Italian spots near me. Highly recommend it you won’t regret it!

So my friend Jonathan takes me here when I am in town and I have never been let down. These two guys can cook and I highly recommend you trying it out! The pizza, the pasta, the fish, and anything else I have tried has been outstanding!

We went here a couple weeks back for restaurant week. Mainly because of price. They had several specials for $ 12.99 including tilipia, chicken Marsala, franchaise or parmigiana. I went with the tilipia and fresh steamed veggies(see pic) my husband went got the Marsala. We both enjoyed our meals. They came with bruschetta appetizer and small salad. The service was great. The price was a steal. The owner came over to make sure we were satisfied. Two weeks later we return. I get chicken piccata and my husband got an eggplant dish. Owner remembered us. Sent over a complimentary cannoli. Both times the food, service and price were perfect. We will be back. I already recommended them to several people. A friend used them for catering a small party just last week. Glad I found them. If I weren’t doing weight watchers I would be back more often. The portions are big and I have zero self control :)

The food at Primetime is always fantastic. My kids love the pizza and the gluten free pizza is actually really good(gluten free pie with vodka sauce is my favorite). However, the best part about Primetime is the service. Go in 2 times and the owner or manager remembers you, asks about the kids, and let’s you know that they are always happy to have you in the restaurant. The kids that work there are polite and the delivery is on time, every time. In an area that has a lot of good pizza, this is our go-to place.

What a nice hidden gem! Pizza was delicious! The crust was crunchy and the sauce tasted so so good. The fried calamari was also SOOOO good! You could tell the ingredients were fresh and made to order. The décor inside was very cute. The waitresses were nice and the owner was so friendly. It made me proud to support his business, he truly appreciates all of this customers! I will definitely be back!

Eh… I almost feel bad about giving this place a poor review. I’m not sure if it was the owner or the chef who came out to check on me and my girl, as a courtesy to see if everything was good. I personally like that. However, the food… well, it was sub-par by my standards. I grew up in Brooklyn, and even though I’m not Italian, I do know the difference between good and not so good Italian food. This place was not so good… In my opinion, of course. And what’s that saying? «Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one!» Anyway…The pasta was hard… NOT Al dente… but HARD. Not only the spaghetti that came with my meal but the Penne alla vodka my girl ordered. I’m not sure what this place is trying to be… an Italian fine dinning/pizzeria or a fast food joint. We ordered an antipasto salad, that was basically a boring salad with a few sliced cold-cuts(disappointing). But was equally disappointing was that they brought the dressing in one of those to-go plastic sauce cups… You may want to invest in a dispenser. The service was really great… and that’s part of the reason why I feel bad slamming this place but… oh well.

Come here almost 3 – 4 days a week for lunch, its that good. Chicken parm vodka is my favorite, they also have a great selection of specialty pizza which is always great. Good ownership and great food. You can’t beat it!

I was very excited to try this pizzeria and when I stepped inside, the place looked great and the employees were very welcoming. However after ordering I was left underwhelmed! I ordered the shrimp scampi pizza which looked delicious but it lacked flavor! The only thing I ordered that was decent was the mozzarella sticks! Not a fan of the food I ate but the staff was great!

Just had their pizza. Monday special price. $ 10. Really, really good. Will be back and try other items. Nice service with a smile and an «enjoy your fresh pie.» We did!

Extremely friendly kitchen staff, affordable and great tasting Italian food, outdoor seating, I would of liked being able to eat without a waiter outside so I wouldn’t have to account for tip but I’m sure I can just ask to next time. Also izzy is the freaking man

I have been going to Primetime since it opened. Not only is the food great, but the owners and staff are the greatest. everyone is always kind, friendly and genuine. Dave the delivery guy is the best. I recently had surgery and couldn’t cook, and was having a party at my home. I had it catered by Primetime– ordered chicken francaise, cavatelli w/broccoli, penne vodka, veal saltimbocca and various appetizers. Not only did Izzy(the owner) deliver it, he helped me set it up. Everything was great, the family loved every single thing. Primetime has proven itself as a great pizzeria and family restaurant in Bloomfield! Keep up the good work and thanks again Izzy!!!

This is hands down the best Italian joint in Bloomfield! They have coupons on their website, don’t forget to check those out before you order or get delivery! Highly recommend everything there; pizza, antipasto, penne vodka, calamari, but especially our favorite, the chicken parm sub with vodka sauce! The staff members are the nicest group of people. They even do charity work for local charity events in Bloomfield. I love supporting this place. Great local joint, super casual, outstanding italian food.

I order from Primetime allllll the time. I literally live right down the block from them and they always deliver super fast. The entire staff is the absolute BEST. They never get my order wrong, & they are so nice. One time I went in just for a couple slices & didn’t have any cash on me & they wouldn’t take my card for such a small amount. They said, next time. So next time rolls around and I told them I owed them money, and they said don’t even worry about it because I was honest. It’s really hard to find service like that. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars, is because I’m kind of a pizza connoisseur, and the pizza isn’t the best I’ve ever had. Maybe could add a little more salt in their mozzarella & some more oregano in their sauce. BUT! The bread for their subs is fresh and phenomenal, their chicken fingers are really great, and they try and rescue their fries from sweating through delivery and becoming soggy and I appreciate that effort. I still love these guys. ^_^

I’ve only ordered pizza, so keep that in mind. Friendly neighborhood pizza /Italian on Broad street. The people who run it are great. Once when I stopped for a slice the guy brought out some water in a bowl for my dog. Place can get busy, but if you’re dropping by for a slice it’s no problem. I’m a fan of the chicken parm pizza and the baked zita pizza. Sicilian and plain are also great. there’s some outdoor seating when the weather is good, the front opens up completely. If you’re local I’d recommend Prime Time for your pies. Thumbs up.

I’ve now ordered delivery from here twice. The first experience was smooth. To get a flavor for at least two different pizzas, we went with ½ Buffalo chicken, ½ meat lovers. The meat lovers was excellent, though I do prefer chunks of sausage rather than sliced sausage. The Buffalo chicken wasn’t bad, but I prefer Panzano’s as far as local competition. On the second go-around, we went with the Prime Time special pizza(sausage, pepperoni, meatball, mushroom, peppers, onions, and mozzarella) and an order of hot wings. We didn’t really want 12 wings, but that’s all the menu offers. When both items arrived, they were soggy as can be. The packaging on the wings caused the wings to retain a lot of moisture which is why the breading was drenched. Also, there didn’t seem to be anything creative about the hot sauce. Tasted just like Frank’s to me. As for the pizza, the crust wasn’t thick enough to support all the water the mushrooms released when they got cooked on top of the pizza. Our pizza was a sloppy mess. A flimsy base unable to support all the toppings. That said, they need to do one of three things if they’re going to attach this pizza to the name of their business: 1) Cook the mushrooms separately before adding them to the pizza; 2) Don’t add mushrooms to the pizza at all; or 3) Increase the size of the crust.

This Broad st. newcomer is a serious pizzeria with the best prices and service in Bloomfield, hands down. I have ordered their regular and Sicilian pies, but am a real fan of the Sicilian, not everyone in New Jersey seems to know what a NYC style Sicilian pie should be, these guys most definitely do. A breakdown of what makes their Sicilian pie 5 stars: The dough: thick, almost two inches high the cheese is perched, but its not heavy, the dough crisps up at the bottom but rises with an airy pedestal for… The sauce: rich and flavorful but the fresh tomatoes arent over cooked, tastes like my mother’s marinara actually(and mom is 100% Italian and a kick ass cook). Which brings me to… the cheese. Not some cheap flavorless filler, real, perfectly melted, evenly covered and plentiful. Their dinner and pizza specials are amazing, the best deals anywhere near here, and delivery is a treat, as Dave the delivery man is always quick, has a big smile and great verbal exchanges. I shouldn’t get pizza again tonight but writing this review is a pleasure that has me rationalizing pizza delivery from Primetime, Bloomfield’s new champions of pizza.
