I work third shift and frequently visit Terry’s place after work for breakfast. There is always a friendly crowd watching the news at the counter. Food is cooked fresh to order and the prices are reasonable. Although I miss three brothers restaurant this place brings back the menu and friendly atmosphere.

Joint # 62: TERRY’S PLACE, Bloomfield, CT. Terry’s Place is a small joint located in a gas station plaza, sharing space with a Subway. Before his business closed, Terry was a former owner and cook at Three Brother’s restaurant in Bloomfield for 32 years. He started Terry’s Place with his son in-law Christos in hopes to continue the tradition of made-to-order breakfast and lunch! RATINGS:… John: 8/10, Me: 8⁄10. John said, «We had a footlong Bogner today, split-top grill(Bogner Meats) — chili, spicy mustard, onion. The onion had a little bit of kick to it. The spice was very subtle in the chili, but it had good meat in there. Overall, I liked it. Bun was good and held everything together pretty much. I’m going with an 8 on this dog — a ‘J. Diggity’ 8. I said, «We’re over here at Terry’s Place. As John mentioned, this is a very interesting location for a restaurant. They do have a counter and great service. We got the Bogner 12 inch dog. It was split down the center and pressed on the griddle. It came with the chili — the chili was canned. I think it was confirmed. Regardless, it still had a spice to it which we do like. Also with the chopped onion and spicy mustard, it did have a good flavor overall. I am also a solid 8 on this dog.» For 61 more hot dog reviews like this, go to:

My first time at Terry’s I was a bit surprised how small it was. I was given great a service and a really good breakfast. I’m just sad I didn’t find this place sooner. I’ve been wanting to find a place that makes a good breakfast sandwich and I’ve finally found it. They also have a full breakfast menu so I had lots to choose from. And oh I don’t want to forget to mention all of the lunch items they offer too. I will definitely be coming back here. ~BpB~

You know that super busy intersection at the corner of Blue Hills and Cottage Grove? Remember that big gas station that houses a small Subway sandwich joint? Well, in a real curious business placement, a diner/luncheonette has opened inside that building, directly across from Subway; giving the common room they share the appearance of a mini food court. There are some small tables between the two vendors– almost like a de-militarized zone. Terry’s Place is open from Monday through Saturday from 5:30AM until 3:00PM. They have a very broad menu of reasonably priced dishes. Burgers, dogs, deli sandwiches, wraps, cold plates, salads, hot sandwiches, soups, fries, rings, pastries, and full breakfast options. They serve breakfast every day until 11:00. I stopped in today around 8 to grab a coffee and look around. They weren’t too busy, but since they were open at 5:30, maybe they had already had their breakfast rush. With all the commuters zipping along Blue Hills and Cottage Grove, this seems like a solid breakfast option. Breakfast sandwiches range from $ 2.25 to $ 4. One word of advice. There is only one way in and out of this gas station plaza– their driveways are on Blue Hills, and if you need to make a left out of the place, good luck –the traffic today was so heavy it was impossible. I had to make a right then find a U-Turn

If you remember and love Three Brothers Restaurant, you will love Terry’s. Terry is one of the brothers and has brought the same food to his new place. Great fast food, grinders, and breakfast.

You would probably miss this place if you weren’t looking for it, as it is tucked next to a Subway and a gas station. The breakfast sandwiches are solid, and the staff is very friendly. It is definitely a decent option if you want a quick and inexpensive breakfast sandwich, and I’d rather buy at a local place than one of the chains.
