I had a confirmed reservation with Ridgeway Inn, for a room with two queen beds, made on 3÷17÷16. On 3÷22÷16 I received an email stating that my room had been changed to a single queen, since I listed 2 people occupying the room, on my reservation. I immediately wrote back, stating that I have a CONFIRMED reservation for a room with two queen beds, and that they had NO business making assumptions about putting two unrelated adults into one bed. The response I received was a copy of a cancellation notice of my reservation, with a note saying«We hope this does not conflict any of your future stays with us in the future.» I am disgusted.

We came across this place as a result of a groupon and were quite pleased. It advertised as a B&B but the breakfast is continental. This is an older hotel, but it has obviously gone through some upgrades. The beds were comfortable, the amenities adequate and the best thing about it is the friendly service and the fact that it is within walking distance to just about everything in town. The only thing I could complain about is the fact that it takes at least 5 minutes for the hot water to hit in the shower(and the bathroom needs a fan) but someone said it might be because it is in the mountains. We will be back.

Charles Mason was the most helpful person at the front desk. I would give him 5 stars. He helped us mame a computer glitch in a previous booking. What a wonderful gentleman.

Nice enough place with very friendly staff. Rooms have everything you could want, but carpets are very worn and old looking. Breakfast setup is pretty good for a continental breakfast. Location is nice for walking around blowing rock. We were in room 107 which did have some water pipe knocking noises from time to time.

Check in was fast and easy, Everyone was very pleasant, This is def the spot you would go if you want a quite romantic time with your spouse. Rooms are decent, not over the top spectacular, but acceptable. I know that it was MLK weekend but $ 130 I feel is a bit much for what they offered. I would have accepted more $ 75 to $ 90 tops, but since it was last minute, I had to accept it. Carpet in the room can use some updating, I know with all the snow they get, people tend to ruin the carpet. The heat in the room was amazing and was very cozy. I remember the front desk making a joke with me about the $ 50 dollar deposit«in case I walk away with the tv» I dont think the tv was worth $ 25. Def time to upgrade televisions. But, then again I wasnt there to watch tv all week so I could care less. Overall, Good Experience. Will def be back, hopefully they will have updated the carpeting.

I stayed here for a weekend in January. It’s a good place to stay for a quick weekend getaway. Location was pretty good; we were walking distance from the shops and restaurants on Main Street in Blowing Rock and minutes away driving distance to the center of town in Boone. The staff was very friendly and professional. We were able to check in early at 9 am. There’s a small parking lot for your car. Our room was spacious and clean. The furniture and décor were a little outdated and could use some updating. The bathroom was nice. Showers worked fine and so did the heater. Towels and sheets were clean and replenished everyday. The queen size bed was comfortable. There was a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and hair dryer in the room. There was also a small round table with 2 chairs. The TV could have been a little bigger. It was a an old 19″ TV and I could hardly see anything while sitting on the bed. Complimentary breakfast was served from 8 am to 10 am in the lobby(although I never made it to breakfast). They also provide free high speed wireless internet access.
