Pretty good selection, with many options you can’t find elsewhere. Store is clean, easy to get into and get out of… What’s more to say about a grocery store? Much better than going to Publix IMO. Cons: Super expensive… There is a large enough Jewish community in the area where prices shouldn’t be this high… literally 3x higher than what I pay for in New York for same brand names… What’s a man gotta do to get affordable baba ghanoush in South Florida?

In my experience this is the worst kosher store I’ve ever been to, and I have shopped at many! I went in for an advertised deli sandwich special. The ad, which has been running in the Jewish Journal for several weeks and is in the current edition, offered a Corned Beef Club with a free bottle of water or canned soda for $ 6.99. One employee told me that the price is $ 7.99 and didn’t come with a free beverage. When I complained one employee told me that the free soda expired«yesterday.» Another employee said that the free soda was a summer promotion. I asked to speak with a manager and I had to show him the ad before he instructed the cashier to give me the soda for free. It took me over 15 minutes of «discussion» to get them to honor their ad. Outrageous!!! I can’t believe that they tried to rip me off for a dollar on the sandwich and a dollar on the soda. They never even apologized! Doesn’t a kosher business answer to a higher authority? I will certainly never patronize this store again.

I won’t even pretend to have any knowledge of Kosher foods or even what makes them Kosher or not, but being a Swede, I do know a thing or two about herring which is what lured me into this market. Indeed, I did find some very good ginger infused herring, something I’ve never had before, along with some jarred fish, or as some term caviar, which saved me from doing a long trip all the way out to IKEA. While there I checked the store out rather thoroughly and was very impressed with their displays, particularly their meats and chicken which all appeared as being better, at least to my eye, than what I’ve seen at any Publix. What really surprised me, however, was the huge assortment of Asian sauces, actually more than I’ve seen in some Asian markets. It was a Wednesday afternoon and the store was packed with patrons, but with me being the only male not wearing a yamaka… or maybe it’s a yarmulke yarmlke, yarmulke, yarmulke or kippah… but whatever, even though it sort of made me feel like the odd one out, it was very reassuring that the other shoppers obviously knew what they were doing and buying, so I’m sure the store is indeed good and that my impressions of it are correct. The only downside was that I started to snap a few pictures and as soon as I did, was confronted by a butcher who let me know in no uncertain terms«You no take picture. No allowed.» Well, since he was a butcher, even though I was twice his size, and butchers are known to be handy with if not vicious with meat cleavers, I profusely apologized. Then, paid for my ginger infused herring(the purchase of which I think is the only thing that saved me from a horrible fate at the hands of this overly angry butcher) and left. Forgiving the stupid nonsense over picture taking, for which I’m sure the butcher had some reason, albeit unknown to me, Four Stars.

Shopping at kosher marketplace for the last few years has been an absolute pleasure. The knowledgeable and friendly staff complement the enjoyable shopping environment. This store has excellent meat cuts, the freshest produce, a variety of wine, and a prepared foods section. …my personal favorite. The prepared food section is the heart of the store. The cooler shelves are packed with freshly prepared a la cart meals packaged and ready to go. The food is cooked in the on site kitchen and you will often run into staff restocking the shelves with fresh batches of everything from their famous fried chicken to traditional and contemporary salads. You can even special order larger servings for holidays/events. My favorite is the pecan sweet potato soufflé! I can’t say enough about this place. There’s no other kosher market like it. From service to selection it exceeds all expectations. Try it and you will not want to shop anywhere else.

Unbelievably overpriced and most definitely NOT worth your hard earned bucks. New Yorkers that come down to stay for the winter or move here long-term are absolutely sticker-shocked at the prices in this market, simply outrageous. And they’re from NY! Owner is laughing all the way to the bank. The reasons the local rabbis refuse to say one word about these exorbitant prices is because they all get fantastic discounts. I’ve often stood at the cash register when the rabbis ask for the synagogue discount. Why would they ever bite the hand that feeds them? Not a chance. Now, there’s been a huge change in the Boca Raton kosher food market. Winn Dixie has opened an enormous kosher section across the street. First prices to fall were the wines. Kosher Market was gouging their customers until Winn Dixie lowered everything by several dollars across the board. Some of the prices at Winn Dixie are so low that I thought they had mistakenly priced their kosher products. Example: Winn Dixie brought in several pallets of big Kedem Grape Juice and stacked it in the back in the kosher section for their pre-Grand Opening. They put a ridiculous price on the juice, buy one get one, really cheap price. The next thing I saw, was employees from Kosher Marketplace buying up all of the Kedem Grape Juice at Winn Dixie and hauling it back to their store for resale. I mean, why couldn’t they just call Kedem and ask to match the deal? It would have been much fairer letting the local kosher community benefit from this deal, and not behave this way. The rotisserie chickens that were offered at Kosher Market cost about $ 13.99 each. Winn Dixie came in at $ 9.99, then lowered the price to $ 7.99. WD sells hundreds of chickens daily because their prices are simply the best. Sometimes, after they’ve been sitting in the hot case for several hours, they knock them down to $ 4.99. Not bad. Sushi is made fresh and daily at Winn Dixie. It’s priced a bit higher than Kosher Market, but it seems that it doesn’t lay in the display fridge as long. They are not happy at Kosher Market. Winn Dixie has taken an enormous bite out of their daily gro$$, not to mention their bottom line. What goes around comes around. Pesach is just around the corner, and Winn Dixie will be doing a bang up catering business for offices, boats, affairs, etc. Pesach Example: Kosher Market was selling dinners for 10 with their usual Passover menu. Price at Kosher Market: $ 379.99 as advertised in IsraPost and all ads. Same exact menu, duplicate except for 3 rotisserie chickens(($ 9.99 each) at Winn Dixie was $ 129.99. There’s a word for that kind of difference… it’s called highway robbery. Winn Dixie sold hundreds of dinners.

Pros: The store is clean, and the selection is very good. They sell plenty of hot and cold prepared foods which are pretty tasty. They are centrally located within the heart of the local Orthodox Jewish community. I have gotten catered meals from them for both Passover and Rosh Hashanna, and we were pleased with the food and the transaction was smooth. Cons: Expensive — not a surprise considering the area, but the nearby Winn-Dixie now has an awesome expanded selection of kosher goods, and the price differences are competitive. The store is often mobbed on Fridays and right before the major Jewish holidays; when it’s really packed, you can barely find enough space for you and your shopping cart. Overall: I think Kosher Marketplace is decent for what it is, but there are alternatives in the area worth checking out too.

Clean Friendly staff Best variety outside of NYC Pretty pricey cause public next door has ALOT of variety at less price HOWEVER you don’t get that small intimate market feel, like in the good olé days! Huge selection of pre made foods and meats galore! A MUSTSEE

It is the best Boca has to offer — so far. Good selection, fairly reasonable prices – they have been getting more competitive.

My grandmother is strict kosher. She’s not able to cook like she used to, but she’s still able to have the same kind of Shabbos dinner she’s always had because Kosher Market sells(wonderful) pre-made soups, roast chicken, fresh challah, and other goodies like fresh hummus and Kosher cheese. She goes to Publix for produce, but Kosher Market has everything else she needs. It’s clean, well-organized, not too big, and the service is friendly and helpful.

The market is clean and everyone inside is friendly and willing to help. I came in to buy rack of lamb and steak. Both cuts were not very marbled at all. The store boasts about having kobe beef but the cowboy steaks I purchased were not very good at all(no i did not over cook them) Same goes for the lamb. :-\ The good news is that the bread was awesome, fresh and delicious. Also the premade soups are pretty good too.

I am not kosher but my mother is, so I’ve often gone in here to get some things for her. It is always well stocked and very clean. The people are friendly and if you have a question they’ll help or get someone who can help as needed. It gets crazy busy every Friday(cause of Shabbos) but overall it’s not too long a wait on average.
