This restaurant is truly an amazing experience with delicious Thai food. The other Thai restaurants in Boca should take lessons from the chef!

This is some of the best Thai I have had. The people are nice the atmosphere is small and quaint. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is that I found the pa nag portion to be very small. The amount of rice and chicken is closer to an appetizer portion but over all a great place.

The food is definitely 5 star. Absolutely fantastic. When you say medium hot it’s really quite warm, like runny nose and sweaty head hot. I love it. We had the papaya salad a wide noodle dish with chicken and the green curry with beef all of them were fantastic. I deducted one star because service is random. It was well intended and I believe the owner does good amount of the table waiting. It’s just it feels random. We didn’t have a reservation and frankly felt lucky to get a table and it is a Monday night. This speaks volumes for the quality of the food at this restaurant. Namaste

Oh how I wish my hometown had more culinary diversity. Although I typically stick to conservative food when I’m in Boca, on this particular day I craved something ethnic. This M & M Thai Café had good enough reviews, so I thought I’d give it a try. The menu has a good mix of true Thai specialities(pad see ew, kapow, thai curry), Asian-inspired items(edamame, ginger stir fry), and Vietnamese phở. Service was slow, and it took a good while until I could put my order in, but when I did, I settled on a Beef Phở and a Ginger Stir Fry w/Chicken. The phở, though well-portioned, was just average, the broth and meat tasting someone bland. It was a little on the oily side. Taste-wise it was about a 3, but it was priced a little higher than I’m used to, so I’d consider it a 2-star dish. The Ginger Stir Fry was a complete oil and flavor overload. The top layer was ok, but as I got lower, the oils and seasonings gradually coalesced at the bottom of the plate, making it nearly inedible for me. Even the rice was soaked, making eating with chopsticks feel like a lesson from Mr. Miyagi. The pickled carrots and cabbage that came on the side were the only salvation I had from palate overstimulation. Perhaps I’m to blame for getting one Vietnamese and one non-traditional Thai dish at a Thai restaurant, but based on the strong reviews that preceded me, I figured anything would be fair game. Is culinary diversity possible in East Boca? Unfortunately, my visit here left this question unanswered. My advice: the only place around for getting consistently great southeast Asian food remains to be found in Margate off Atlantic Ave.

Tiny and family owned. This is the best Thai restaurant in Fl. Whenever I’m in town I always go here. Make sure to try the iced Hibiscus drink and the spicy coconut soup. The owner brings out the food herself. Great for a laid back date or just to hang out with friends.

Really good Thai. Pad Thai is awesome as are all the other dishes. Soups are fabulous. Everything is made to order mild to hot. Super nice service. Great find in my hood.

M&M is a pretty good restaurant. The waiters are very friendly and help you find the most suitable dish. The drinks are fantastic, especially the Thai iced tea, and the hibiscus drink. The food was not exceptional, but pretty good. This is a nice option, but I would not say that it was amazing.

I came here because of the great Unilocal reviews and we were not disappointed. Excellent food, service, atmosphere and everything. We will definitely come here again.

Our new Thai spot, a stone’s throw from the beach. Papaya Salad and Tom Ka Kai soup added warmth to a pleasantly cool evening that even the loud talking speaker phone blasting visitors could not diminish.

I have been wanting to try this place for a few months now and was not dissuaded by the warnings of others that you need to get to M & M Thai at an optimal time to avoid their infamous waiting list. Given that it was late December with snowbirds and tourists at maximum levels I can’t fault the restaurant for a chaotic environment but from a consumer standpoint what a nightmare! We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 pm with only one other group in front of us. Both them and ourselves were for tables of 3. The waiting list attendant who resembled the owner’s sister in look was scurrying around the restaurant like a chicken without a head. Within fifteen minutes of arrival I finally got her to focus on me and scrawl our name on the list. The list consisted of a scrawled and crossed out words on a page of a writing pad. I watched horrified as she put our name at the top of the page above much scrawl and cross outs scattered upwards, downwards and sideways without order throughout the page. I whispered to myself that it would be a miracle if she remembers that we should be the second next table seated. Meantime more and more people are coming into the restaurant, a bunch being seated well before us. Looking around at roughly ten to twelve tables(including outdoors) I noticed that most tables had not yet been served their meals. As of 8:15 pm we were still standing around as various others(new groups entering) were getting seated however were told that these people had reservations(they take reservations for diners of six or more). As I remained and stewed not wanting to leave(I kept on thinking to the Seinfeld episode at the Chinese restaurant where their name was called to be seated after waiting for over an hour and then leaving), we finally were seated ONE full hour after arrival. As I tried to settle in to our table, the first thing I noticed was the table of six to my right where a gentlemen caught the owner’s attention and asked a little timidly when would they receive their meal?(I had noticed them at the table 45+ minutes earlier and still no food!). He was told that food is delivered to tables — ready? get this — «First come«first served». Boy did I laugh at that one. Then I looked straight ahead and there was another table of six(or eight?) and each diner was getting their meal in piecemeal fashion. One gets served, then a three minute wait. Then next gets served and another three minute wait and so on. Ten to fifteen minutes later one of the diners called over one of the employees and pointed to the vacant space in front of him wondering when a magic meal would appear in front of him. With a wave of a magic wand it arrived a few minutes later. So what happened with us you ask? Well service was terrible but not as horrid as others because we were the second last table to dine that night.(As a matter of fact we had the final remnants of rice for the night). Yes it took forever to get our food and the water that I requested with my sake at the beginning of my meal did not come despite four requests(even though my wife and daughter got theirs). It possibly could be that I did not understand in Thai language that buy one sake get no water was the deal but I finally did get water on the fifth request twenty or so minutes after my first beverage. As to food? food was good. Had a spicy chicken soup that I did not care for as I did not like the flavors but that was just my opinion. I did enjoy the Gai Pad Krow(chopped chicken with basil). My wife and daughter had chicken with black pepper and they both were not enamored with their meal but then again the horrible wait experience may have added to the negativity. All in all I would like to see the restaurant thrive. It’s not a chain, the food is fresh and judging from the many regulars well liked. But they have to get their act together. I will not be back as a result of the poor experience but I do not want to deter others because the food is good. Just don’t go during season!

Best Panang curry I’ve ever had! Family run restaurant, owner is chef, waitress and hostess along with her daughter and boyfriend? Very small, doesn’t take reservations for less than 4 people during prime time, but totally worth the wait!

Wow! How unexpected. Small venue with great Thai food. Owned, waited on by and food advisor May was amazing. She told us what to eat and how to eat it. The salmon and papaya salad was delicious. Salmon was moist and tasty. Papaya salad was ample in size, tart and fresh. Special ice teas homemade, barbecued pork with sticky rice, we ordered all the specials., Delicious! A small place… The work hard. Will definitely be back!

This was the best Thai restaurant I have ever eaten at. Admiringly it is a small place but the experience and food more than make up for the size. The owner came out and greeted us personally. She cooks all the food. She asked about our preferences, cooking each dish to each persons spice preference. And she was spot on. I had the salmon with chili sauce. Delicious. Salmon cooked perfectly medium rare to my request. Veggies were fresh and crisp and sauce delicious. So sad when the meal was over and knowing I will not be back in Boca for some time. Absolutely stop here for dinner if you are in town

Best Thai in Florida. May is incredible and the staff are personable and very helpful. We eat there 2 to 3 times a week and have eaten almost all the dishes and we can safely say every dish is 5 stars! The restaurant itself is so cute and extremely close to the beach! You don’t have to look at the menu May will tell you what the best meal is that day and she remembers what you had the last time. I highly recommend the curry dishes they are delicious. You are truly missing out if you haven’t been there yet.

M&M is my go-to Thai restaurant in Boca. The food here is always fresh and consistently good. I love how the owner is so passionate about her business. She makes all her own sauces and recipes and always remembers everybody that comes in. The atmosphere is really cute and quaint with fresh flowers on each table. My favorite dishes are: Larb Gai: chopped chicken salad with toasted rice Tom Yum Talay: spicy lemongrass seafood soup. The scallops are always jumbo size and delicious Chicken Satay: I just really love chicken satay Papaya Salad: I love how crisp and crunchy their papaya is. A lot of places have it a little limp, but this place stays busy so they must go through a lot to keep it so fresh The prices are very good and they give very generous portions. 5 stars

We came today for lunch for the first time and were very happy we did. I have wanted to try this place for a while now and finally got the opportunity today. We came at 1 and it was very busy we got the only empty table left inside. There are only 6 tables and a few outside. Very small and best for parties of 2 or 4. I started with the Thai iced tea which was amazing! It was very authentic, homemade, full of flavor and not overly sweet. For meals we decided to share the lunch Panang curry and pad Thai. Both came with a small starter salad with a homemade peanut dressing, it was very flavorful. The food came out fairly quickly and hot, full of flavor and a bit spicier than we requested but it was still delicious! The water cups are small and frequent fill ups are necessary with the spicy food. Service after we got our food was a bit slow, but no big deal. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to try more entrees!

From Bangkok to Boca, the owner May and her family brought M & M Café here almost 2 years ago. I knew nothing about M & M until Unilocal’s Top 100 Places to Eat in 2015 came out yesterday, Nov. 4, 2015. It has been such a long time going down there that I did not even know that this far east on Palmetto Park Road there were these small sandwich shops or businesses. I thought my GPS was going to take me into the Atlantic Ocean until low and behold I go over the bridge and a whole new world of Boca opened up to me. There it was, #31 out of the Top 100. On the North side of Palmetto Park Rd. Parking on the street was easy, walked in and could not believe how small this place was. But the smell!!! Wow. A dining room with exactly 26 seats, May, greeting, kindly welcoming into her Bangkok home away from home and letting me know that the menu is posted on the wall and changes every week. All it took was her confidence in her voice to sense that this food was special, real Thai and what she proudly served each day that filled all 26 seats in this place. I ordered the Seafood Thai Basil with Brown Rice. She asked me if I wanted it mild, med or extra spicy. I figured medium would give me a good idea of how I would like this dish. May brought me me green tea and within 15 minutes she brought me my Seafood Thai dish. Piping hot, beautiful presentation of shrimp, scallops and squid with peppers onions pea pods, with course brown rice. The Thai sauce surrounded the whole dish and as I started to dig in and dip each bite in the sauce, my eyes started to water and I started to sweat. Wow. Medium was spicy but so good, so authentic. This was the real deal and I never ate at what I would call a real Thai Restauant. I sweat through every bite and loved it. Fresh, crisp and full of all the right flavors. To tell how authentic and serious May and her family are about their food? When I started to tell her how she made the Top 100, she really did not understand. She said«all I want is to cook my family’s recipes». I told her that she did not understand. I slowly explained she was #31 out of 100 in Palm Beach and BROWARD. She said she wanted to cry and saw tears down her eyes. Try this Bangkok, authentic cuisine. It’s as close as you can get via Boca.

Popular place! I tried M&M on a Wednesday evening with a friend. Very friendly, personably service in a small cozy atmosphere. The food was very good as far as local Thai fare is concerned. I ordered the panang curry and my friend got the green curry. One issue I’ve had with many Thai places is that they never make the dish spicy enough even when requested. I emphasized that to the owner/server and to my delight the heat level was on point! Very flavorful, delicious curry. As previously mentioned they get packed so you may have to wait for a table in evening without a reservation. Also payment method is kind of strange for a sit down restaurant like this(you pay at a counter after receiving check)

You better get a reservation, or you ain’t eating here. Lobster pad Thai with a full tail, maybe ¼ pound, for what felt like less than market rate. Ask the owner to make you the house special martini: plum wine, Apple sake, pomegranate juice, lime, garnished with a strawberry. And order one early, they sell out as soon as all the fresh pomegranate juice gets used up. Chicken satay was cooked perfectly, tender juicy, slightly seared. The atmosphere is lively with young locals and their families. Staff is very hard working, and with limited evening hours, be ready to get there early. I walk by this little gem everyday and it is always packed, they are definitely doing everything right!

All the 5 star reviews led us to M&M last night. We were looking for an alternate location for Thai food that was closer to us. We parked in the back which had plenty of parking. The place was full so May took my name, and within a few minutes we were seated. May has a unique look that is hip, and she is equally friendly and helpful. The food was served in good time and was hot and delicious. Steam dumplings were perfect and served with a tangy sweet sauce. The green curry had a nice spice to it with an excellent«milky» texture(not too creamy and not too brothy). My wife’s Pad Thai was served nicely and tasted great. Don’t forget to try the Hibiscus tea! It’s red and delicious… Tip: when the check finally comes, be ready to give your card or cash right away or you may be waiting another 5 – 10 min. if they are full. My only con: May should close the door looking into the kitchen. It is very utilitarian and does not need to be revealed(although it is kept clean)! We can’t wait to go back!
