I went there for my day. I had so much fun making my own pizza, and the staff could not have been nicer! The food was also great! I will absolutely be going back and recommending my friends do the same.

Every time I come here the food and service gets all the more amazing. Sergio Anthony Gonzalez Gonzales is the MAN!!!(Not to be gendered) but he’s everything and a bag of chips. Also though the food is fantastic and the drink selection is the same.

Great people who work there. Ben is one of the pizza makers and he will entertain you and make you want to return! The pizza is slightly overpriced however it will always be wonderful!

Been going to The pie since it first opened across the street from my moms house 25 years ago and I’ll never go to flying pie ever again. Lots of changes lately have dropped the quality enough that it is no longer a pizza I want to eat. Looks like Idaho pizza company or pie hole just got a new customer

If your into bad service, nose piercings and hipster mustaches then this is for you. I took my family of four and had a horrible experience. While I enjoyed a beer the rest of my family had semi carbonated water from the broken soda fountain. They had no other drink options like tea or juice of even ice. The Pizza was decent but was made incorrectly and bread sticks never made it to the table.

Interesting pizzas, great beers on tap, and a nice fresh salad bar; the Flying. Pie is a great find. Pizza takes a while to cook to perfection so they treat you to complimentary bread sticks. Have a cold beer and enjoy the anticipation!

Whether it’s dining in, picking up, or delivery, Flying Pie has been my go-to pizza for years. Although I’m a sucker for greasy, thin crust, pizza by the slice(especially during the late night hours), I still maintain that Flying Pie makes the best quality pizza in Idaho. The pizzas are made with fresh ingredients and are sizzling hot upon serving. The crust isn’t thin like a flatbread or New York style pizza, but isn’t too thick like Chicago style. Perfect texture — soft towards the middle but crunchy on the outside perimeter. I highly recommend trying one of the fun specialty pizzas. In particular, the Pesto Primavera(veggie pizza with pesto sauce on whole wheat dough), the Zambini(pesto sauce on sourdough crush with veggies and Italian sausage), and the Garlic Chicken(alredo sauce!!!). While I usually opt for delivery, dining in is fun because the environment is a typical, lowkey pizza joint with good beer. It should be noted that Flying Pie is more expensive that most pizza joints in the area, but for a good reason. It’s the best, and it’s high quality food.

The lunch buffet is a pretty good deal but otherwise these pizzas are pretty damn expensive.

Best pizza in Idaho, Habenero pizza is delicious and service is always good, only drawback for me is the pints of beer are spendy at 6.00 per pint

My family and I decided to give Flying Pie Pizza a try. What a disappointment. Not only did we wait for an hour and a half but while we waited we couldn’t even visit because the music was so loud. Welcome to the 60’s. Once we got it I thought it would be out of this world… Not. It was very average. There’s clearly a different kind of crowd that gathers there… We would’ve been better off at Papa Murphy’s or buying boxed pizza in the frozen section at our local grocery store.

I have been here on multiple occasions and every time, I have to wait at least 30 minutes for a dang pizza! Though it is good pizza, it’s not AMAZING and not worth the wait. There are plenty of other pizza places I would rather go in Boise that have quicker service and tastier pie. However, one of the quirks I do like about this place is when they put your name or a specific group on the board and it’s your day to make a free pizza. If my name is ever on the board, that will probably be the only time I will come back.

Best Pizza in Idaho, I’d heard on Thrillist, and saw they’d been featured in USA today and Man Vs. Food. So when I went to Idaho as part of my «50 States Before I Turn 50» bucket list cross-off, I gave it a shot. I tried the No Vegie Pieway which had five kinds of meat and it was excellent. I also tried the garlic chicken pizza, but it was too garlicky for me. To be fair, the menu mentions there’s a lot of garlic, so… I can’t complain. I had this delivered to my hotel room and the pizza was delivered a few minutes ahead of the window I was given… which is always a plus.

What happened to flying pie?! Worst pizza we have had in a while. Please get rid of that processed chicken and the«cheese blend» gross! Never going back again.

It pains me to write this review because I really wanted to like the place. It is right down the street from my house and the cashier(Kim) was very friendly. I also liked the«alternative» vibe and the beers on tap. So why does Flying Pie Pizzeria get only 1 star? All I can say is Digiorno. If you’ve ever had frozen Digiorno frozen pizza you will know what I mean. My combo pizza tasted EXACTLY like the frozen pizza from the grocery store. The dough is not good and tastes just like frozen pizza dough. I am convinced the sauce is tomato paste that goes strait from a can onto the pizza. The toppings were horrible. Seriously, go buy and Digiorno pizza from Albertsons and then go buy Flying Pie combo pizza. The difference between the two is negligible. I have no idea why this place has good reviews. It can’t be because of the food. maybe they pay people? maybe its the staff? The ambiance is cool, but that’s it. Final word of advice: GOTOCASANOVA They make a delicious pie that puts this pizza joint to shame. I do not work for Casanova. I just moved to Boise and have tried about 6 pizza places. Casanova is head and shoulders above all others. seriously. I almost forgot, my pint of beer cost $ 5, whereas Casanova(and most places) are around $ 3. Why is this place in business?

Spending the day in Boise with my 3 children. I had eaten at this pizza place years ago and had enjoyed the pizza. I wanted my children to experience what I had years ago. Well to my surprise it was the worst pizza I have had ever. We had the Pizza Buffet with a salad. The salad was the only good thing we ate. The Pizza was so bad that we left most of it on the table. The employees were more interested with talking to the beer drinkers at the bar instead of making pizzas for the buffet. The prices are expensive and the pizza and the service is worst I have ever had. I will not be going back to this place ever again. It was a waste of my hard earned money and our time. My children agree that it was the worst pizza ever. I felt bad because I had told them that it was the great years ago. I think the management needs to come in unexpected and see what their employees are doing. I recommend that no one eats here. Pizza Hut down the road would be a better choice.

Our family often enjoys heading into this flying pie to meet our friends on this side of town. It seems a bit smaller than the other one but the food is perfect, no different from the wonderful pizza out of the fairview store. We always get a pitcher of triple pie and spend an hour or so. The staff is super friendly and even stops by to talk about gardening or just see whats up if they get a break. Love the colorful array of people they hire, its the best part of visiting(on par with the pizza of course) and we are never treated poorly! I always get the pesto primavera and my family gets the no-veggie pieway and we are both equally satisfied with our choices, from the spectrum of vegetarian to carnivore. It seems they use prime quality ingredients across the board. The place is super clean and the only downside can be the parking on a busy night!

Pizza is good and the ever changing selection of beers on tap with samples is a great way to try new drinks. But… Service is a big hit and miss. Last time we had good service to go with our food. This time it will take some time before we return. Ordered and paid for a beer that never showed in spite of two employees that said they were bringing it. Ten minutes went by after the second«helpful» employee before we went to the counter to get a box for the extra pizza. Far to long waiting to be helped and I grabbed some foil packed up the pizza and out we went.

My husband and I have been wanting to try Flying Pie ever since we moved here last summer, so we finally did about a week ago. We were impressed. We got there around 3:00-ish on Saturday so it wasn’t crowded at all. We had just missed the«rush» according to the staff. Several tables were not cleared so we had no choice but to go to the back area which was fairly dark(fortunately, our server realized this after a few mins. and turned on the lights when she saw us trying to read the menu). We decided to order two medium pizzas to take advantage of the half-price deal on the second one. We ordered the Samoan & the PHOSGO Supreme. That Samoan was hands-down the best«Hawaiian» pizza we’ve ever had. The cheese combination was creamy, unique. The PHOSGO was so generously topped, and reminded us of Casanova’s loaded toppings. Flying Pie is definitely in our top 3 so far in Idaho along with Flatbread Community Oven and Casanova. It’s edged out only slightly by my preference for the wood-fired brick oven style and thinner crust. We will definitely be back to try the many other interesting combos except for the seasonal«Triple Habanero» we saw on Man vs. Food. That’s just insane! ;-)
