Bernard is the worst bartender I’ve ever seen. Apart from the shitty customer service, his skills as a bartender are disgraceful.

Dive bar. Definitely the armpit of Boise, but if you need a place to just relax after work, this is a good spot. Fun on game days, but very crowded! Staff is always friendly and attentive.

Me and my long lost Mother who left me for Idaho went here last weekend when I visited her in Boise. $ 2.50 well drinks on Saturdays were cool. The atmosphere was nice. We had a groovy good time here. I’d recommend it to my friends and family if you ever make it to Boise.

Great college bar. Can’t beat thirsty Thursdays with $ 1 beers. The bartenders are always great and nice. Great security guards. Always a great place to grab a drink after class any night. Packed during BSU games.

The best drink specials in Boise! Also the best bar tenders in Boise… Say hello to Burney, tell him Reid sent you!

Fantastic little place for a couple cheap drinks. The service is very fast and highly professional. Their happy hour specials are all very tempting and I like the free pool. I can imagine that it gets quite busy sometimes. The smoke-free environment is a massive plus. This is set to be my new haunt.

I would not go so far as to say this place is a meat market, since almost every time I have made the drive across town to pay a visit there have been plenty of good-looking women to rubberneck at, usually accompanied by guys automatically assumed to be either boyfriends or friendly neighbors in the adjacent bar stool they met five minutes earlier looking for some extracurricular activity. Never been here on game days, yet I would imagine the place is rocking just as much as the stadium itself. The beer is cheap, yet good luck getting a pool table on the busier nights. For being a smokey bar, there seems to be plenty of ventilation so nobody is suffocating. Not a bad place for the college crowd. UPDATE: Just days after I originally provided this review, Suds management announced that it went smoke-free. Now even more reason to make the occassional commute out here from the West side.

This bar got through me college. On many of nights(I lived 3 blocks away) I would stumble home full of good cheap beer. Although the no longer have all ylou van drink nights, it still has lots of good deals. The bar tenders are good guys, and this is still the place to be on Sunday nights. Only negative it is lack of women, but that can be said of all Boise bars. Overall I am pro

Stop #1 on our pre-Humanitarian Bowl-funking(not including our hotel room). We very much enjoyed our $ 2.50 crap beers and chatting with very friendly University of Idaho fans including a couple of cute coeds, a dude with a long beard and a viking/Vandal helmet(who later bought us beers) and a bunch of other people that kept asking«Where is Bowling Green, anyway?» Suds Tavern isn’t fancy or particularly pretty, but it definitely does the pregame job.
