Went by today and found the place closed. Sign on the door indicated the downtown location is still open.

Was getting my oil changed around the corner at Larry Miller and decided to grab some coffee while they worked. Now, I have been(multiple times) to The District’s downtown location, and was mainly just crossing my fingers and holding my breath(only a little) in the hopes that they had the same menu at this location. Tentatively, I approached the barista… Me: «Do you guys do a nutella latte?» Barista: «Absolutely!» Me: «I’ll take 5!»(Really, I only asked for one – but with 5 times the enthusiasm) So, other than that… Wait! Is any other information necessary? Nutella. Latte. Is this not computing? They have taken all that is good about coffee and mixed it with nutella… my people… it’s like the best pairing since dark chocolate and red wine… or…macaroni and cheese… or, vodka and cranberry… or…the words pixie and sticks(fun to say, no?). OooooKaaaaay…I’ll give you a the rest: Atmosphere: Darling, spacious, and inviting. Service: Where do they find these people? I have only ever had the most magnificently kind and accommodating service at either of their locations. Coffee: Full bodied deliciousness. Prices: Reasonable. So, to sum up: Lovely baristas. Nutella latte. Get to it!

Visiting Boise for work and had to stop in! New location for the District, sharing space with Red Letter bookstore. I was a fan of their downtown location(not sure if they’re still open?) so I had high expectations. They definitely met my expectations! Rustic-modern and bright open dining space with vintage furniture — reminds me of Portland. Impressively healthy menu. Got the Fresca Salad with avocados added… perfect mix of citrus dressing, black beans, corn, and not-greasy chicken slices. Fresh lemonade is sparkly and the chai tea tasted like holiday goodness. YUM! If I lived in Boise, I’d eat here all the time.
