We love Cracker Barrel, however this particular one in Boone, NC was a big dud to say the least. We got seated quick enough, consider it was lunch time. They really weren’t that busy. Usually they come right to us when we are seated to attend us. We sat there for about 10 mins and no one EVER came!!! We got up to walk out, my husband told the«manager» all he said was«sorry».

We eat at this Cracker Barrel fairly often, and have had generally good experiences. It’s been more inconsistent lately. This was our third year to have Thanksgiving dinner at this Cracker Barrel. The first two years, we had great experiences. This year was disappointing. They were(of course) very busy, but they were well staffed and were doing a very good job keeping the tables cleared and quickly reseated. It looked like everyone was working hard. I ordered their Thanksgiving feature. The turkey portion was so small, if it had been smaller, it wouldn’t have been there at all. I think the kitchen staff tried to disguise the absence of turkey with gravy. The ham was tough and dry. The portion of green beans was smaller than usual. Everything on the plate was almost warm, and everything tasted OK. Others at my table were disappointed with their small portions, especially the ham. The small portions were made worse by fat, gristle, and large inedible bones The service, bread and pie were good. We went to Cracker Barrel hoping for the usual hearty portions, but what we got, after waiting for an hour, was basically a second-rate cafeteria experience.

My dinner company and I had a great waiter in Cody. He was on top of our drinks but the food was just above average. We went for dinner but breakfast at a ‘Barrel is always good!

Normally not a fan of C.B. but had a great time. Server was prompt and friendly. I got the featured Campfire Chicken. It was tasty and perfect to split(split with mom). The salad was great too– enjoyed the French and honey mustard dressing.

Decent food, normal for a Cracker Barrel. Waitress was a bit disheveled, seemed like she was having a bad day. They got one of our orders wrong. Other than that the food was mainly good. My mashed potatoes were cold.

Hit or miss. Friendly staff. Food is okay. Has gotten better since it first opened. Sometimes food comes out cold or lukewarm, not very well seasoned. Will def go here over Mountain House.

I was in the mood for breakfast and everyone else wanted lunch, so we settled on Cracker Barrel… Nice compromise… I had the Old Timer’s breakfast and everything was on point for me… The bacon was crispy, the eggs weren’t runny, the hashbrown casserole was crispy on top and cheesy in the middle, the biscuits were fluffy, the grits were deliciously thick and all of the items ordered were hot… My boyfriend was not quite so lucky… He ordered the Cracker Barrel sampler with the chicken and dumplings, meatloaf and sugar cured ham with applesauce and macaroni and cheese… He did not, however, order the eyelash that came with it… We get it, though… I mean, short of goggles, there’s really not a hardcore way to protect against wayward eyelashes… Even if it is still kind of skeevy… They remade the dish and took off the charge as well… He couldn’t finish it all the second time, but he did say it was good… Our servers, Bethany and Elizabeth, were fantastic… We had a table of nine and they were attentive and funny, as well… Overall, it was a sound showing at the Boone Cracker Barrel.
