What a wonderful place!!! Genuine customer service! Amazing apple pie and delicious chocolates! They freeze coffee in ice cube trays for the iced coffee, so when the ice melts it doesn’t make your coffee watery! What a fabulous idea!!!

what a cute little store! they sell coffee, lunch, pastries, candies and fudge. you can also find little trinkets and walk around the store while you wait for your food. i’ve had the turkey wrap and it was yummy. i also go in to get a pastry once in a while such as their pumpkin apple streusel muffin or cinnamon coffee cake. the service is also excellent!

i was in booton a few weeks ago and i happend to be driving by and saw a sign for heavenly temptations. Well you would think a place called HEAVENLY would be HEAVENLY but unfortunately i was quite wrong. first of all i asked the staff member for an iced coffee light and sweet, a tunafish sandwich, a bowl of soup, and a slice of quiche… for the next few days for my boyfriend and i. OHHOW I WASWRONG. first of all the iced coffee had a weird taste like it had been sitting in a fridge for WAY too long… and you don’t get your moneys worth for it. it was half coffee and half ice cubes. that dropped a star right there. UGH and the tuna was disgusting… it had a weird CRUST on it… as if it was unproperly held in the fridge. the soup was also unsatisfactory… VERY oiley and unappetizing. i ordered a ham quiche which had MAYBE1 slice of ham on the bottom… overall i will never reccomend this place to anyone and will not be returning ever again. unless the owner… who seemed in a rush to leave while i was asking questions(be more polite next time maybe??)…unless they make new and FRESH things, im never coming back.

I was recently in Boonton and was happy when I spotted a coffee shop. This place is more than a coffee shop and that’s good and bad depending on who you are. After spending a little time inside, I think of it more as a store that happens to also sell coffee and not vice versa. I ordered two drinks… mocha lattes with skim milk and no whip. What did the girl behind the counter make us? Two mocha lattes with lots of whip, chocolate syrup and no flavor. There was no one else in the store and she asked me twice how I wanted the drinks made. Screwing up a simple order will result in a low rating on Unilocal.Sorry, there is just no way around that. The space itself is in a really cool old building and has the potential to be a really hip coffee place, but not with bad service and extremely mediocre(at best) coffee it’s just not going to happen. Trust me, I know how hard it is to make a coffee shop profitable, but don’t mix a Hallmark type of shop and a coffee joint into one business and hire help that could never refer to themselves as a Barista… it’s just uncool. Pass!

This place is cute and adds a nice little charm to Main St. Their coffee is pretty good and I do appreciate that they offer flavored decaf. I’ve purchased a few gifts here as they carry«Life is Good» products so that makes life easy for me. A lot of the other stuff they carry isn’t of interest to me, handbags, high end soap, quirky jewelry – but overall I like the small time mom and pop feel that is has. I’ve never had their baked goods but some people have said they’re good so maybe I’ll try someday.

Heavenly Temptations will truly tempt you to ascend to the celestial skies. The coffee and hot cocoa are divine, and the wait staff friendly. The layout is a bit odd as it’s just as much of a card and gift store as much as a café. A lot of the gifts are hokey like those that you’d find in a tacky tourist trap in any small town with its«life is good» brand t-shirts and inspirational magnets. Seating is limited, but it makes it nice and quiet — unlike S’bucks.

I adore independent coffee shops… These folks have great coffee, same price as Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks, great HOMEMADE snacks and what not. VERY friendly staff, they always make time to be kind. Just tried their home made veggie rice soup, it was excellent! Go here and support a great local business, :)

I’m new to Boonton and have slowly moved through town trying out the food and going into stores. I was a little surprised by this place. Maybe my expectations were too high from the reviews or what the place looks like from the outside… I don’t know. But I wasn’t that impressed — not even remotely. The chocolate layer cake was stale — the icing tasted like it was sitting there for awhile. The peanut butter pie was fine but I’ve had better. The quiche had no taste at all — didn’t taste egg or ham or anything… very odd for food not to have a taste. Anyway, when I went to pay for my stuff I was *shocked* by the price. Lunch and a piece of cake for two people was $ 25. Seriously? The quiche was small and didn’t even come with a side salad. Oh, and the store was cute but nothing special and everyone was nice but — that’s all I could say. Yep, I won’t be back — what could I have missed?

Heavenly temptations is a delightful coffee shop that I have frequented for many many years(even back when it was located under the Holmes Library). The store is adorable with small town charm and super friendly staff. In addition to beverages(coffees, teas, hot chocolate, white hot chocolate, ½ priced milk shakes in the summer, etc), I am a huge fan of the to-die-for fudge and the peanut butter pie. The best part is the comfy couch and free wi-fi, which makes for a great work or meeting environment if you need a break from a traditional office.

I’ve enjoyed this place for many years. The deserts are all heavenly temptations. I have only one suggestion, you should stay open later on friday and saturday night, and maybe have an open mic night to bring them in. We go here after dinners at the boonton avenue grill

Great place… I especially like the coffee and assortment of food. It looks like they recently added toys for kids. It’s really a convenient, local establishment and I am happy to spend my money locally. The employees are very friendly too.

This place is one of the few friendly places in NJ. The staff is helpful and nice. The treats are very yummy. I tried a sandwich once and that was good too. They also have warm drinks for cold days, and really good homemade fudge. In the back corner are a couch and couple of chairs, and in the front are a handful of small tables, plus the counter facing out the window. I wish this place were open more in the evenings. Part of it is also a store, with food and other gift items. I recommend it. Just make sure you are nice when you are inside.
