Visited 04/08/2016 I’m being generous giving 3 Stars. All the 4 Star ratings must be after a few hard drinks. First there is lots of seating inside and out and free parking. Sadly it’s not the cleanest restaurant around with food all over the floor. No one seemed to care as the waiters just walked on by without even trying to clean anything up. One male waiters shorts were hanging down showing his boxers and butt crack. «Very Unappealing» «Very Unprofessional». –1 Star. The young lady that waited on us was very nice and helpful. 4 Stars. The Food was Just Ok. A Small menu but good for what it is. The Burger was very tasty although very tiny for a $ 14.00 Burger. 4 Stars for flavor, 1 Star for Size. They charge extra for onion rings instead of fries. Sadly they only give you 6. They were tasty though. 3 ½ Stars. The Garlic Chicken Wings were lacking in flavor but were cooked plump and juicy. 3 ½ Stars. My wife had a large salad sadly it was nothing special. Much better ones at Carleys down the street. They do have a great outdoor seating area with a great view. Sadly they only open it on special occasions. So don’t count on the Pet Friendly Patio. A large Group of people with one tiny dog were turned away because the staff didn’t want to serve them outside. «Extremely Unprofessional» All in All its not the kind of place I long to come back to and I’m a local about 20 min away. We just didn’t get the feeling anyone here cared about the food or service. Surprise Surprise they Don’t Serve Breakfast or Brunch even on the weekends. «WOW». So Sad for a Resort. To Bad It Could Have Been A Great Dining Destination.

Weirdest restaurant experience regarding Unilocal.Meal was fine(3 stars?). Waitress came by to pick up plates and let us know she could take 20% off of our meal if we write a positive Unilocal review and show it to her before we check out… awkward silence from me. I didn’t take the offer, actually didn’t know what to say. Seems like manipulation and in hindsight made my meal a less pleasant experience. That was two days ago, and it’s still annoying me.

Well, I do not understand the positive reviews regarding this place. The waitress was disagreeable from the start, not a good start then… My wife took a salad and asked if it came with bread, answer no, can we have some bread, answer no we do not have bread… But they serve sandwich… Awkward… On her plate no cherry tomatoes 3 – 4 tiny slices of orange tomato, we had to look for the cold tiny pieces of bacon, and manage to find some with a magnifier, during this search the other question that arose was, where are the walnut!!! Nowhere… We ask the questions, the reply is it is mostly green salad, and they do not have walnut… My mother in law is allergic to garlic, I said it clearly so we manage to get another side than the garlic mashed potatoes. Good point, yes? Well the steak had garlic on it and as it is not in the menu we could not know, but the waitress should have known or check. If it was a more sever allergy this could have gone really wrong!!! Irresponsible! For me it was OK, just not worth the price and the service was just bad. My recommandation for this place is avoid it as I will do. Forever!!!

First time eating here! Definitely enjoying the retro travel posters and modern-western-saloon type vibe :) We ordered the BHBG burger, Poutine fries, Onion rings — all very good! It was quite busy but service was very attentive and super-friendly. Thanks, Victoria! Definitely will stop by next time we’re in town!

Awesome hidden gem in Borrego Springs! The spicy chicken sandwich is killer & they have a great beer selection. The barkeep Victoria was super friendly & knowledgable. We will definitely be returning!

Loving our stop here out on the bar patio, taking in the mountains and desertscape, Ocotillo, breeze blowing, classic rock, great drinks and food, and friendly service. Could stay all day. We ordered 2 fish sandwiches. They come with french fries or a side salad. The salad was very good, more complex than most side salads, with a lot of different ingredients and flavors that were complementary. The french fries were hot, crunchy, and delicious. They also carry a decent variety of beers, cider, and wine. Julian cider for me please! Service was great from our waitress, Victoria. We will definitely come back here when passing through town again! PS One star added for the kitsch-factor, which you know wins me over. Stop by the gift shop and look around for something fun to take home to the poor souls who could not accompany you on your trip.

Excellent burgers and sandwiches. Best part is the atmosphere; sitting outside with a gorgeous desert view, surrounded by native flowering plants. Walk around and enjoy! P. s. Good sweet potato fries.

Great burger. Kids loved chicken tenders and pepperoni pizza. Great food after a long hike in the dessert.

Went here with my boyfriend when we were out exploring the desert. Nice deck and friendly staff! Good selection of local San Diego beers and yummy food. Definitely a nice place to stop in the desert!

My husband had pizza, his meal of choice. I chose the blue cheese angus burger with beer battered fries. Hubby would have preferred a thinner crust, but happy with overall flavor. I ordered my burger medium, which is how they are typically served. My burger was cooked a tad more to the well done side, but not overcooked. I couldn’t really taste the sriracha ketchup; a bit disappointing since I like a little heat. We sat outside with an amazing view of the desert hills, listening to music from the 70s; songs we grew up with, but not typically heard on the radio. Overall, a good hearty meal served by friendly, informative Victoria, great view, and music that we’ll keep playing in our heads til we fall asleep. The perfect ending to our day.

This was an unexpected find. I came here with my girlfriend and her family, all of us very hungry after a long drive from LA. The food was really good, as was their beer selection, draft and bottle. Our server was really nice, too. Overall, a very positive experience.

Food here is awesome. We ordered a pizza and the Bleu cheeseburger. The burger is one of the best I’ve ever had. We ate in the saloon area which was really chill & had great service. Plus the pool table is only 25 cents! We’ll definitely eat here again on our next trip this way!

OMG! From New Hampshire to Borrego Springs, I don’t know if I have ever had such awesome food at an affordable price! We sat in the bar and loved being able to watch the desert sunset as we ate fall off the bone ribs. The best mashed potatoes perfectly complimented the rib eye steak my boyfriend ordered. Couldn’t stop until our plates were empty! We will be sure to make this a stop each and every time we visit the area.

Came here while camping In the area. The food was excellent. Nice flavors and the portions are good. Service was friendly but not very attentive. Although our server was trying I feel she just wasn’t trained properly. Had to ask for the basics to make it through the meal. We where the only table in the restaurant except for one other. It seemed to me that with that little going on excellent service should be easier to deliver. I believe it’s a training issue and that this restaurant and service staff can and hopefully will improve. More focus on the steps of service will improve things tremendously.

Horrible service — our iced tea glasses were empty and the hosted never once came over to refill them; matter of fact, she walked into the kitchen herself and fixed herself a drink. We tried waving her down but she totally ignored us — we had enough — we paid for our teas and walked out. We should have known something was wrong with this place when we saw there was only one other couple there besides ourselves… Won’t visit this place again!

Stumbled in here over thanksgiving weekend for a Saturday dinner to find the place pretty busy. We ordered the BGBH angus burger and the rib eye steak, both very very tasty. Décor was recently updated and was very cute, rugged country chic. The wait staff and kitchen were a little overloaded with the crowd but apologized immensely and brought out some complementary fries while we waited. There is no signs from the street for this place, it is right in front of the rV park. The menu has changed to less bbq more traditional American food, and is not updated on the website. I don’t think you will find a better place in the area, definitely recommend.

Wow. What a pleasant surprise. Absolutely delish! We had a cocktail in the bar and then ventured into the restaurant. I had the rib eye steak with garlic mashed potatoes and mushrooms(really good wine sauce). My man had the mac n cheese, both meals were excellent! It is located at the Palm Canyon Hotel and RV Resort, which makes for delightful camping(more like glamping). We will be back and we will be telling our friends. A+

Three and a half stars. Friendly if slightly confused service due to a large party there while we were eating. I had the chili, which was very tasty, and primarily beans with either little or no meat. My girlfriend enjoyed her hamburger, which was grilled and good quality, but not amazing. The décor is supposed to be a Western bar, but it feels like a hotel, with a cafeteria-type counter, typical hotel-type carpeting, and an odd assortment of mismatched art that wasn’t necessarily Western. The bar and outside area, on the other hand, has a better vibe and looks a lot more Western. This is a great place to watch the sun set or simply enjoy a drink in the clean desert air. I just thought I’d mention the interior décor since I was a little surprised at how it looked based on the exterior. Definitely worth another visit.
