This place made me acutely sick when I tried their nachos with vegetables. I stayed away from it for a while, but since it’s so close to me I thought I would give it another shot months later. I simply ordered nachos with just cheese, their hotestt salsa and guacamole, which they charged me extra for, but I did not mind paying. I came back to my apartment. They not only gave me mild salsa but forgot the guacamole they charged me for. It wasn’t a complicated order. I was also the only customer there around 8pm so it’s not like they were distracted. Horrible food. I hope they leave the Galleria soon.

Just getting the food was terrible. The register didn’t start at zero. The items weren’t the price listed by a full dollar or two. The ~credit card thing was down~, and our receipt got thrown away before we could ask for it. And then the most prominent flavor in my burrito was can. If I had personally made the burrito I received and served it to someone I would have cried from embarrassment. And then there’s the fact that, you know, money was literally stolen from us.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. This is not only the worst burrito I have ever eaten but literally the worst food of any kind I have ever eaten. I did not know food this bad could exist. Go to the dumpster behind your favorite Mexican joint and sift through the food they’ve thrown out. Roll yourself a burrito from the rotting remains of half eaten food discarded last week. It will be better than anything sold at Beantown Burrito. Imagine a burrito with ingredients comprised exclusively of canned food scavenged from an abandoned cold war shelter. Imagine wrapping these ingredients in a warm diaper vaguely resembling a tortilla. Imagine food so awful, so insulting to anyone who has ever eaten and enjoyed a burrito, that when you stand up and throw it in the trash after three bites, people at nearby tables actually clap their hands in applause. Yes, my meal lasted exactly three bites. I wanted to ask for a refund after the first but I told myself, «Hey, this is food court food, don’t be so precious, Chef Ramsey.» After the second bite, I nearly gagged on an uncooked chunk of onion in the salsa – salsa which I asked them not to include with my burrito. After the third bite, I began to feel sick and threw the rest of it in the trash. $ 11 down the drain. Not a very expensive meal in the grand scheme of things but you can actually get a sandwich, drink and chips at the Subway down the hall for $ 8.50 and finish your lunch without wanting to projectile vomit. They don’t even know how to roll a burrito properly, which isn’t exactly rocket science. This disgusting, putrid pile of waste exploded two bites in and spilled all over my hands and the table. Thank God they gave me a napkin with my meal. Yes, napkin, as in singular, not plural. Glory be. What else? I ordered a Coke with my burrito, which was 75% ice and 25% soda. I actually like a lot of ice with my drinks but I can’t help but notice this is basically another way of defrauding the consumer. I don’t want to end this review without commenting on the incompetency of the staff. The imbecile working the register said«Hey, it didn’t go through, let me scan your card a second time.» So he did. When I got home two hours later and checked my balance, sure enough, I had been billed twice. Thankfully Bank of America has built in system checks to make sure their customers aren’t being defrauded, so I got an instant refund, but this is yet another thing that screams«DON’T EATHERE, EVER!» So there you have it: a $ 22 check for 8 oz of Coke and three bites of a burrito you couldn’t feed to a seagull. Oh me. I think I have to go lie down now.

I actually brought my veggie burrito back, which is a big deal – I almost NEVER return food at restaurants. But this was honestly the worst burrito, and one of the worst meals, period, I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant, and to add insult to injury, they charge almost $ 9 for this thing. There was no flavor, there were what appeared to be canned tomatoes dumped straight out of the can throughout, and the guacamole(which was an extra $ 2, I think) was mostly onions. Granted, I grew up in Tucson so my basis for comparison might be unfair, but this was just awful.

A little place at long wood galleria… the menu is small but not overwhelming. I tried the east coast burrito. I added sour cream to it as it mellows out the salsa. The burritos are huge. Make sure you have tons of napkins with you. The salsa is on the sweet bland side. There wasn’t any cheese in this type but if you want it a bit more flavorful I would ask for cheese. Some of the others do have cheese. Next time I’ll try one of the tacos. Overall service was great… and he does let you know if something will be extra like again my sour cream. It’s a give or take overall.

This has to be the most disgusting excuse for Mexican food I’ve ever had. Offensive, even. There was NO flavor anywhere in the burrito I had… and when there was flavor, it was nothing reminiscent of genuine Mexican food(or even USA’s collective attempt at Mexican food). There were ingredients in the burrito that should NEVER be in Mexican food. I have no idea how this business is still running in the Longwood Galleria — a very busy food court and you’ll rarely see a single person ordering Beantown Burrito. Needs new recipes, new management, or to close down altogether.

I ordered the soft taco with steak and I must say that this was the most tasteless thing I have ever had in my life. Ugh! The steak had some foreign taste, one bite and I felt like I was going to pass out. This taco was a no-go; disgusting.

Bean-town is good name for burrito place. $ 9.00 for ultimate burrito. 75% beans & rice. 1 small chicken thigh, couple pieces of steak. No veggies, squirt of green sauce squirt of red sauce(salsa & guacamole). Yea it was big, full o beans n rice, oh & some cheese. This was a $ 4.00 burrito w extra rice. It was editable,

Steer clear. I ordered a burrito with steak, and instead received a warm cylinder containing: — Fossilized meat — Vague salsa-like homogenate — Aluminum can-flavored beans — Even the cilantro was bland??? Never thought I’d find a burrito joint I liked less than Boloco, but here we are, unfortch. Food itself is 1 star or less, but staff are nice, so 2 stars it is

I feel it’s my civic DUTY to warn people not to try this place. It’s so disgusting– we got a couple burritos from here a while back and remember them being so bland and gross that we didn’t even eat them Blech.

Yeah, I’ve experienced better. The manager seems to be really nice. I ordered a taco salad. He was nice enough to replace the corn tortilla basket with corn chips but then I got back to my desk and saw that the only veggie he gave me was lettuce … wtheck? Yeah, everything was pretty bland. The salsa was so watery. The ground beef could use more seasoning.

Taco salad: Pale, unfresh lettuce, a pile of sour cream, and cold flavorless ground beef. $ 9.46. I used to wonder why this place was the only one in the Longwood Galleria without a line at noon on a weekday. Now I just wonder why they even bother. It’s too bad. It’s a charming looking stand with more character than the chains it fails to compete with.

I had a breakfast burrito and it was exactly what I wanted. Made to perfection! I’m not sure why others gave it low stars? We’re you expecting gourmet in a food court? It was $ 6.50 for a huge breakfast burrito with home fries, salsa and bacon. Most of all, Robert, the owner and chef, was cheerful, clearly loved what he does, and cared about making sure I’ll be happy with my purchase. He brightened my day! I’ll be back again!

flavorless and over priced their salsa tastes like old very plain tomatoes, the guacolmole and sourcream they provide you on their«super burrito» is such a sadly small amount you cant even taste it. i’ll eat burritos from just about anywhere, but this is some place I would never visit again

Very very mediocre burrito for a less than stellar price($ 8.50). Boloco down the street is a much better bet.

If I could, I would give this place 0 stars. I ordered a steak burrito with no beans and I saw the worker make a burrito with beans. So when he gave me my burrito I asked if that was mine because I asked for no beans. He angrily said that one was mine, without confirming if it did or did not have beans. He sounded very annoyed, which made me annoyed. I simply asked him just to be sure. When I ate the burrito, the ingredients did not taste fresh. The steak tasted as if it had been reheated a few times. The rice also seemed to have been cooked a few days ago — it was not fresh at all. I was very disappointed because I spent over $ 7 for something that did not taste appetizing in any way. I will not return to this place… ever.

I have never EVER reviewed a place without eating there, but the other day when we were here hitting up Chutney’s, I literally watched the guy closing up pick up bits of brown tomato individually out of the pico de gallo tub, and then put the tub back as he was closing. So, it’s not even refrigerated, and they just pick out the brown pieces. Did I mention he was doing this with his bare hand? No glove. So, I thought Unilocal should know.

My husband went to get a large soda at this store located at the Longwood Galleria in Boston, MA. He asked the person to put only little ice on it. The dialog went like this(with the vendor all smiles): –H: Please put very little ice on it. –Vendor: Just little ice? –H: Yes, please. –Vendor: OK! So he fills up the soda and hands it to my husband. As we walk away and he has the first sip, he realizes the cup is full up to the rim with ice. We go back to get the ice off and more soda on, as he wanted. –H: I asked for only very little ice and you filled it up with it. Please take the ice out and put more soda in it. –Vendor:(no smiles anymore) I can’t that is the way we do business here. –H: I don’t want that much ice, I paid for soda. –Vendor:(grunting and emptying just the top of the ice and refilling the cup with a squalid squirt of soda. I am not exaggerating if I say he got rid of only 5 cubes!). I can’t do that. This is the way we do business here! The vendor happened to be the MANAGER of the store! He denied us the soda we paid for and didn’t have any sympathy. We will never go back there to get scammed on cheap soda. Anywhere else we go we always get the amount of ice we want and the soda we pay for. Disgusting way to do business and scam your clients. DON’T GOTHERE!

There was only one guy working hte whole establishment, yea its a burrito place but at lunch even on a Saturday you still need an extra hand. However because of this he could have cared less about details. I ordered the original burrito but there were no options for wraps despite the sign, he didnt ask if I wanted veggies or substituions. He just made it as it was on teh sign handed it to me and walked away. Definitely needs a refresher in customer service. The burrito was skillet grilled after which is a nice touch but I wasnt asked if I wanted it that way so it was weird. The girls in front of me were not happy with their food and made faces. It was a rough scene overall, I wouldnt go back. Now I know why the Japanese place had a line.

I’m surprised by the low stars, I had a burrito + chips and salsa from this place today and thought it was delicious, especially the rice. I did stick to the classic burrito, so no meat — that seems to be where a burrito can go wrong. The salsa was fresh and clearly homemade, and the chips were made on sight as well, I’d say. I thought it was great. Very reasonably priced, especially for a food court near all the hospitals. And, they do take credit cards now.
