After a long drawn out morning chasing roof leaks, the boss and I decided lunch was in order. Bostone pizza. Very daggone good. We got two sicci slices and a can that’s cold. As usual, I took my two slices and slammed them face first into each other and Boom! Pizza sannwich! 7 bucks. Good deal for good pizza, ‘specially in DTBoston. Have a slice or two. Small, cramped and very busy. No matter the toppings, still 7 bucks for two slices and a can of Coke.

I fell in love with Bostone Pizza when I came to Boston many years ago. I have brought family and friends to Bostone Pizza and they do fell in love. I am extremely picky when it comes to pizza, but I can’t say enough good things about this pizza joint. There sicilian pizza is so delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking about. Whenever I’m in the mood for Pizza, this is my go place I love Bostone Pizza!

For some reason it really bothers me that they reheat the Sicilian slices. On a good day, this yields gooeyness up above and crispiness down below, but on a bad day you get something that tastes like it’s been sitting in a layer of grease on a pool table in a frat house for a week. That said, the BBQ chicken is worth that gamble. The bland sauce and cheese combo shines when topped with onions, chicken, and lots of BBQ sauce, but otherwise, it’s pretty unimpressive. But because it’s under $ 4/slice, it’s nothing a sprinkling(or ten) of red pepper flakes can’t fix! Pray for a slice with crust, otherwise good luck trying to pick that greasy sucker up. If they don’t have any BBQ or Buffalo fresh, I’d skip the sad-looking Sicilian alternatives and just go for a standard pepperoni slice. Their cheese blend is nice and salty, and I’m kind of partial to the soft/doughy crust style. If you need passable pizza in bulk for a function or something and don’t feel like dealing with the rude and lackadaisical management at Upper Crust, go here. They will probably be willing to cut you a deal. Side note: slush is definitely a no-go. Don’t know why I thought it would be a good idea, but I guess the 90-degree heat was messing with my head. It should have been a warning sign when I had to explain to the cashier that they even sold slush, despite the huge sign by the TV. Anyway, after taking my $ 4, she went into the back and brought out a rock-hard, pre-packaged cherry lump that had clearly been buried at the bottom of the freezer forever. Whoops!

Best Sicilian pizza I’ve had in Boston, bar none. The crust is what makes this pie special; airy dough sandwiched between a good amount of sauce/toppings and a crunchy — but not burnt — bottom. I can’t help but grab a slice whenever on ‘Fashion Avenue’, even if I’m full. *Beantowns Finest*

So I’m from out of town(Atlanta), but I must say, this pizza is truly amazing. I stumbled upon this restaurant while taking a quick shopping detour on a business trip. Pizza sounded delicious so I stopped in. I saw the buffalo chicken pizza and I was hooked. I ordered up one slice of that and one of the sausage pizza. This is the BEST piece os sausage pizza I’ve ever had in my life. I’d recommend picking up one of those if you can’t decide. Of course you should stick with the Sicilian style pizza as it’s their specialty. The restaurant itself is pretty comfy-cozy. I grabbed a seat at their little bar and ate one of the happiest lunches in recent memory. The pizza crust can’t be missed. I haven’t experienced anything like it in all of my travels. Highly recommended and truly a great value at the price.

Ben and Art are spot on. I wanted to love this place after reading so much about it but found the pizza tasteless and unorgasmic!(is that a word?) I hadn’t had a Sicilian slice worth a damn since college days and this certainly didn’t do it for me. Staff was nice and pleasant, crust was good(maybe the best part of it) but this review is based on the totally of it and to be honest, they don’t need to reheat anymore slices for me, I’ll go across the street to Upper Crust.

Being an NJ native… I am a die hard fan of NY Style pizza. In the 6 yrs I spent living in both RI and MA, I searched high and low for a pizza place that reminded me of home. Bostone fit all my requirements: Medium crust, crunchy exterior and chewy interior crust, perfect amount of sauce(and great sauce at that). It’s my favorite NY Style pizza place in all of New England! NY/NJ transplants… this is the place go!

Great location and nice interior with many booths and a large eating bar area to sit, but the food left something to be desired. The traditional pizza was super stingy on the sauce and cheese. Only about ¾ of the slice had anything at all on it, and the rest was just crust, which wasnt anything special. Also, I hate when you order a slice and they put it in the oven to warm it up, and it comes out burnt on the bottom and as hard as a rock. I understand they want to warm the pizza as quickly as possible to keep customers moving, but they should really turn down the oven a bit. The sicilian slice was marginally better, at least the sauce/cheese came to the edge of the slice(I had an edge slice, so there was supposed to be crust) but it was still a very measly amount of cheese/sauce. The bottom of the sicilian was burnt as well, but there was more crust above the burnt part, so it didnt have the same effect as the traditional slice. There are tons of better pizza options in the city, but due to this location and the tourist traffic it will probably stay in business.

I wanted to love this place. Even after eating the first of two slices(one spinach, one peppers-onion-mushrooms), I wanted to love it. Heck, my fellow Unilocalers love it. The price really isn’t that bad, and the food looks terrific. Thick slices, buttery-crispy crust, good amount of toppings. But … it was just okay. I added crushed red pepper because the slices needed some more flavor, and when the slice were heated just before being served, they were still just tepid. As is this review.

One of my favourite pizza places in Boston! I love their Sicilian pizza slices, especially the tomato and basil. Nice layout because they have booths and a bar type area, and all the tables have chilli flakes, parm, and oregano – everything you need to make the pizza even better!

Tasty. Taste fresh and without premade crust taste. I have to say it was similar to pizza in Italy. I am serious. Mushroom, Spinach, Sausage and Ham … good taste fresh and spongy dough like I had in Rome.serious. In some ways a hidden gem… with so many faux bistros on Newbury, it can be rough finding a quick decent bite. But here is Bostone. Ran like a New york place, pick your slice they ‘ll heat it, you grab a beverage from the cooler and taaa daaa lunch.

In fairness to Bostone, I will give them a second star now that I’ve discovered how to get in and out quickly. The secret is this: Only order ready-made slices. Don’t even think about getting a sandwich or a made-to-order pie. Also, the Sicilian pizza is much better than the thin-crust. Still not fantastic, but solid enough.

I wandered into this place without having read other reviews, so didnt realize to try out their Sicilian style pizzas. I just wanted something that I could take out, and eat a few hrs later. One thing I can say about the regular pizza is that the slices are HUGE! I ordered 2 slices thinking it’d tie me over, when later I realized that each slice was literally ¼ of a whole pizza pie! Definitely a great deal for just over $ 3.00/slice. Overall, I liked the thin crust, and it did seem pretty comparable to Upper Crust. The place itself is on the smaller side, but does have a few booths(I dont recall, but maybe around 6 – 7?) It was pretty empty when I went so I got my food really quickly. The only thing I wish they had was a bag to carry my 2 slices of pizza in, rather than lugging around a pizza box on the T.

I had a $ 10 BuyWithMe to Bostone and used it today on a double cheese calzone with green peppers($ 10.29). Definitely ginormous and fit for 2 meals, the calzone was stuffed with ricotta, moz, and strips of the peppers, and came with a side of marinara. It was pretty tasty, good flavor and texture, not too much bread/more of the filling, so I was satisfied. Service was extra-friendly, and it only took 15 minutes(I called ahead). The atmosphere seemed cozy, I liked the TVs they had. The pizza slices they had available also looked good(chicken bacon potato, mmm), I’d definitely consider coming back to grab a quick slice for lunch. A bit on the pricey side, but it is Newbury.

I’m going to be honest. I wouldn’t have come here if I hadn’t won a $ 10 gift certificate to this pizza place. Now, would I return. I would. But only on pay day. damn, these pizzas are expensive! I love me a good Sicilian Pizza but $ 20 for a small. Yikes!!! We really enjoyed it but I probably won’t buy it for a while. The taste was good. Pizza sauce is a salty not sweet sauce. The Sicilian was crunchy just the way i like it and it could’ve had more cheese though. The place is small, trendy for a pizza joint. Well, we are on Newbury St. They had many different options that looked super yummy but my wallet only allowed for a cheese. Maybe next time I’ll splurge for some different.

Two months in, and I think I have a fairly good grasp of the city: Avoid the green line, root against the Yankees, forget about good pizza. Well, that’s what everyone said… I had 30 minutes to get from my office to For Eyes before they closed — I made it from Community College to Back Bay in 25 and emerged from the store, contact lenses triumphantly held aloft. Then I smelled it. Pizza! Just in time for dinner. I crossed Newbury and found myself in a tiny restaurant with some very sizable, good-looking Sicilian slices on display. I picked the tomato basil and hawaiian. While they were being heated for me, a man approached the counter and asked if his pizza could be cut into pieces for his daughter. Not only did the cashier instantly comply with his request, she handed him a complimentary juicebox with a smile. I love that kind of stuff. I made it approximately three blocks down the street before the smell wafting from my to-go box became too much to handle. I plopped myself down on the steps of the Boston Public Library and attacked. $ 6.43 for two buttery, cheesy, flaky, crunchy, pillowy, savory slices of pizza heaven. You can bet I’m going to create excuses to visit Back Bay.

I have mixed feelings about this place. It definitely has the potential of 5 stars. But for now, Id give it 3.5. They have pizzas, subs, pastas, salads and a few appetizers. I’ve only been there once and we had some pizza and wings. Tomato bazil pizza was good. Not too greasy, but greasy enough to satisfy the most. Wings were meh. I didnt particularly care for them. Just put on enough sauce to cover up the taste. The sauce is good. They also had perrier water. Fancy, for a pizza place, but hey they are on Newberry. Also, the prices were just a little jacked up, but I guess the rent is high here… The place is kinda cute, bathrooms are clean and staff is friendly. Ill be back, dont disappoint me Bostone!
