Ordered a double hamburger dinner and got two hamburger patties between a toasted hamburger bun with a plate full of seasoned fries. Nothing else on the burger. No lettuce, tomatoes, or condiments. Fries were good and plentiful but the burger was a disappointment. I would not recommend this dish. First time visitor.

This place is just down the street from where I live, so I frequent often. Primo’s is quick, tasty and reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly too. Basically all you could ask for in your neighborhood pizza joint.

It is what it is and for what it is, it’s great. Don’t go looking for fancy toppings or innovative combos — for that look down the hill to Figs or Upper Crust. Go because it’s Monday or Tuesday night and it’s discount cheese pizza night. Go when you’re too busy to cook. Go when you need that thin slice feeling. A solid place to grab a pie with a seating area that’s tolerable to wait in if you forget to phone ahead. I wouldn’t gripe over the cleanliness of the place — for downtown it’s decent. They’ve just done a lot of work renovating back in the fall so you can be sure it has fewer rats in the back than almost anywhere down the hill. This is the pizza dive for me.

Big fan of Primo’s. First of all, the food is great. They do a solid job on quick, tasty, reasonably priced stuff. I regularly eat the buffalo chicken wrap, the steak bomb, and the greek salad. Particularly fond of their buffalo chicken wrap, I eat it at least a couple times a month when I need a quick dinner. Also, the guys in there are just good people. They are unfailingly polite on the phone and in person. I left my wallet in there after I called in an order, they went through the effort of getting in touch with me to let me know.

Stopped by for an order of mozz sticks and a chicken parm. When my food was«ready» I only saw the chicken parm sub but no mozz sticks. Good thing I double checked. When I got back to my apartment, I bit into a meatball sub… so I went back to get my chicken parm. The food itself was okay. They don’t toast the sub so I would request it.

Place has new ownership as of about 2 months ago and it is God awful now. Three times in a row they gave me the wrong order, three times. I have since protested to give them any business. If I could give it zero stars I would.

It is a take out spot, not the place you wanna sit and have lunch at. Great food! especially when you are hungover. it is pretty cheap for all the food you get! I’ve been ordering food for the past year since I discovered it.

I work right across the street, and even though this place is super convenient, I won’t eat here(not even if I were starving). I use to eat there, years ago. But since the ownership has changed, so has the quality. I once watched the counter person go from taking someone’s cash, to making a sandwich without any hand washing. I was done! It’s dirty and un-inviting. Eat there at your own risk.

There really is nothing special about Primo’s. My husband and I order here regularly because it is in our neighborhood, they deliver and you can order online. The food is almost always just ok. We both really enjoy the salad with buffalo tenders. The pizza and buffalo chicken wrap is decent. However, more often than not, the fried and/or onions rings are soggy and cold. Most of the sandwiches we have ordered have been a disappointment.

There are actually TWO places to get actual pizza — not someone’s interpretation of pizza — in Beacon Hill. Nino’s and Primo’s, and Primo’s delivers. Also like the eggplant pizza. Great, not too greasy. If you want fried calamari on an herbed crust, stay on Charles St.

I put off eating here for a long time because it didn’t look like a nice place to eat. One night I really didn’t feel like cooking and walked past here and decided to try the pizza. I have to say, really not bad at all. It’s definitely decent pizza. It’s very convenient to everyone on Beacon Hill who wants cheap food but doesn’t want to have to go all the way to the bottom of the hill. Yes it’s lazy, but that hill is steep and winter is cold. It’s cheaper than the slightly better Felcaro’s too. It’s good standard Boston pizza(the kind you can tell if kind of Italian style, but still a little doughy) for a reasonable price, in a location that can’t be beat.

Probably the best deal for food on Beacon Hill. The food is pretty much what i’d expect from a pizza place, and i’ve never been disappointed with my order. Right in the middle of the neighborhood, cheap, and conveniently located next to a market that sells beer.

Reliable food conveniently located in Beacon Hill. Always quick delivery. I recommend the buffalo fingers, calzones(enormous), and the amazing greek salad with chicken. I don’t like the pizza — they use some weird«cheese sauce» that has a strange taste and consistency.

Wahhh. 4 Years. 4 Years and I’m finally getting around to reviewing Primo’s. I went to Suffolk right around the corner, and my friends have all lived in a 300′ radius of the place, so I am quite familiar with this place. It’s been there for me through thick and thin, heat waves, water restrictions and bitter snow storms. It’s been my right hand man/woman/thing while conquering countless theses and Law Briefs. I love Primo’s. Go for their Curley Fries. Perfectly fried, perfectly seasoned, it will never let you down. Their pasta is pretty great as well, and the burger bun turned garlic bread is just so damn delicious. I’ve heard the pizza is good, and the subs are bomb. Do yourself a favor and go there. The people that work there are also super nice! They didn’t even complain when we had a burger, fries and a pizza delivered about 1.5 blocks away in a snowstorm!(We tipped generously…) :) Primo’s, thanks for a great 4 years.(:

Just orders from Primo’s online. Delivery was super fast and friendly. I had the veal parm(yum!) that came with an awesome garlic bread. Their portions are huge and are clearly very inexpensive. Their marinara is traditional and rich. Order a side of their onion rings well done — you won’t be disappointed.

My mom & I came here for lunch to celebrate my freedom from purgatory … uh I mean … jury duty. She raved about the veal, which I’ve tried before but I cringe every time because, well… IT’S. A. BABY. COW. *gasp* Next thing I knew, I was very full from my tasty, guilt-free veal meal sans the spaghetti. Oh, and the extra buttery garlic toast did a fantastic job of destroying my arteries. Next time I’m in Beacon Hill and feel like eating baby calves, I’ll go to Primo.

It gets three stars because of its delicious steak tips. Everything else is mediocre(pizza, sammiches, etc.). The location is great(up at the top of Beacon Hill) and they’re open long hours and deliver without a minimum charge. It’s a good, basic place to rely on when you’ve had a long day and feel like doing jack.

If you go to, or work at Suffolk University, like I do, you’re going to know about Primos. Okay, it’s not the best food in the world. It’s not even the best food on the block, but it is super cheap and consistent. You always leave the place with a full tummy, albeit a heavy one. The pizza is fine, subs are good and cheap, but my favorites are the chicken fingers and wing dings, and the steak tip salad. The steak tips are always good and gooey and the salad is always fresh and cool. If you need cheap eats, you might as well stop in. PS– the staff there are all super nice, one time I was short a dollar and they were totally cool and told me to forget about it. That scores big points in my world.

Good ‘ol Boston House of Pizza, you’ve never let me down when I have a craving for cheap, greasy goodness. You’ve always… wait, what? … It’s not BHOP? Oh… my bad. Well, on with the review… Being the only cheap, conveniently located food establishment in the middle of Beacon Hill kind of makes these guys a shoe-in for at least three stars, but I’m reluctant to give them any more than that. The reference to BHOP is not solely for entertainment: the food is quick, greasy, and messy, and delicious because of it. They have all the standard subs, grinders, calzones, and other fast-food italian«specialties». I doubt I’ll find myself here often, but whenever I feel like tempting fate and a heart attack, this is the first place that comes to mind.

It’s at the tippy-top of Beacon Hill and yet, it’s really cheap! Also: Delivers and doesn’t have a minimum purchase for using a credit card. All of these things by themselves are pretty rare on the Hill, AND it’s right in the middle of the neighborhood! I know I hate having to trek down to Charles St. when I’m hungry and tired on some rainy day… This way I can drag my greasy ass down a couple of back streets and grab my food really quickly, barely being seen on my mission. Now, is it the BEST food ever? No, not really. But it’s pretty good… Basically what you’d expect when you walk in the door. I get the chicken parm sub with a side bleu cheese for dipping(I throw some Frank’s on it too when I get it home) and it hits the spot. There IS something a little weird about the sauce, but I can overlook it, because they do it right: fried chicken fingers with some melted cheese and red sauce, allllll messy on a sub roll. Yum! A couple of people mentioned the interior. Okay, it’s not meant to be a nice fancy sit-down restaurant. It’s an Italian fast food place where everything’s six bucks, give or take. Not sure what you were expecting. Now, all that said, it looks like I should have given it four stars instead of three… But, to be completely honest, if this place weren’t literally a four-minute walk from my apartment, I’d never ever go out of my way to go there. The food is average, just extremely convenient.
