This is the place you go not for elegant ambiance, but for that solid, simple, NY-style cheese slice at one in the morning.(Not the veggie, or BBQ chicken, or pineapple-whatever, or even pepperoni, which can be a touch too heavy or greasy for the excellent thin crust. Also, sadly, no on the steak calzone if not ordered ahead, because they won’t make the time to reheat it long enough with a long line behind you…) The place will be at turns full of drunken law students, or empty but for a few solo men chewing quietly, respectfully, who know that this is the best single cheese slice for blocks, at least. And that it’s worth going out even in the ice and snow for it, and eating that slice right there, fresh from the oven, because it won’t be the same when you get it home. Mozzarella is solid, marinara is appropriately tangy(no Chef Boyardee sugar-sauce here), crust is perfectly thin and flakey on the outside, but soft and flexible enough to fold, and have a couple of bubbles along the crust. Price good, too. 4 stars for the 1am plain slice! Three just because overall/for the rest, whatever.

not sure how late this place is open or how good the food is because somehow I’ve only at there when I’ve had drunk munchies… but for that occasion it is perfect.
