If a restaurant is going to use words like ‘vegan’ I’d suggest they know what ‘vegan’ is. And if a customer asks if an item is ‘vegan’ please don’t sigh real hard and roll your eyes. Food was slightly below average. Old tasting veggies and corn syrupy salad dressing. Tofu was unseasoned. It was an expensive salad that tasted like grocery store grab and go. I went to Sebastian’s for lunch today because I was nearby for a conference. Never again. The quality of food and service wasn’t great, it’s my own fault for being to lazy to hike a couple of blocks to Sweetgreen.

Not a bad experience, just a weird one. Was at a convention and we were searching for a morning break from meetings. My friend asked for a chai tea, which is on the menu and we were informed they did not have chai tea. We were then told the only coffee at this coffee shop with a «coffee bar» is the self service coffee station. So no specialty coffee. Then when we ordered a certain breakfast sandwich they said we couldn’t have that one and directed us to a few pre made options. Not sure if it was just that the employee helping us did not want to make anything or if we came at a time with a limited menu option, which seems weird for a café/catering business at 9am. For the record, my friend did like her sandwich.

I’m not sure exactly where to start on this one… We go here probably twice a month for lunch while at work and it’s pretty consistent. You know what you’re going to get and you know you’re going to pay too much for it, but you do it anyway because it’s something a little different. The sandwiches are good, albeit a bit on the smaller side. Salads are excellent and you get to choose your mixins. But my absolute favorite are the crepes. There is one woman there that makes them every. single. time. and I can see why. She puts the perfect amount of filling in them and they come out perfectly crispy, melty, and delicious. I’ll go back because, well… it’s what we do and who doesn’t love a good crêpe? But if you’re looking to save your pennies stay away!

The staff here are amazing and the hot prepared food is always a good bet! The menu changes daily and staff members take a lot of pride in their meal. They let you try free samples and give very generous proportions. Lunch can often run you over $ 10, but you get a lot of food!

I stop here once a week or so. Mostly for breakfast, the egg, cheese and bacon roll ups are very good. The coffee is fair, I am not a fan of coffee brewed in tin, glass is always better. The breakfast crepes are very good as well. The chicken pot pies are the way to go for lunch. If you don’t see any, ask because you may luck out and get one coming out of the oven. This place is owned by fidelity so everything is really top notch. Parking is easy enough to find on meters in the morning. Especially if you are dropping someone off at Logan, stop here on the way back if heading south. Get off at the South Boston exit and you will find meters if you go right at the lights.

Went for a walk at lunch and decided to get a salad at Sebastian’s. It was very expensive($ 13 for a salad and small yogurt) and the chicken was DRYDRYDRY. The did take LevelUp which was cool and the staff was moderately friendly. Next time, I’ll keep walking.

I work in the seaport, so this is one of my go to places when I feel like getting out of the office. My go to is the salad-it is huge and more than 1 sitting’s worth! It can get pricey if you add chicken or salmon but I love how the«basic»(including cheese) toppings are included in the base price of 9.75. If they charged by weight it would probably be more expensive! I’ve tried the crepes once or twice and they are just ok. Bottom line-will cost you at least $ 12 for lunch w/a drink. Kind of steep-cheaper options in the area!

I generally like Sebastions. Been going there since they opened. But lately it’s been not so good. I usually get either a salad(I like that you pick your own) or my favorite had been the Mediterraneo. This last time I order my sandwhich, I noticed the bread had changed and the woman behind the counter had a hard time understanding what I was ordering. A mediiterraneo toasted. I can see the description of the sandwich so I can’t understand why she’s asking what kind of bread I want. Then what I want on it. I repeated myself 3 times. Mediteraneo toasted. She finally understood what I wanted and handed me a cold sandwich at which point I said again… toasted, hot please. So she finally understood, heated it, I walked back to my office and there were no cucumbers on the sandwich So basically I paid $ 8 for a hummus, eggplant and pepper sandwich. I was not impressed and have to rethink if it’s worth walking all the way over there to get a not so good sandwhich.

I’m happy to report that because of the terrible service we received from them, our company still has not ordered from Sebastian’s Catering. People heard about my experience with them and the bad attitude of the customer service guy who I called and put a «do not order from Sebastian’s» rule out to everyone in the company. Plaza Deli, Rebecca’s and Milk Street are the only caterers we use now. That’s how we roll, Sebastian’s.

I just had a BBQ chicken wrap. All I can say is it was spectacular! I’d give this place 5 stars if it was less expensive and they had panini’s everyday.

We order catering from here fairly often at work for meetings. Sandwiches/wraps are pretty«meh». Cookies are overpriced and not that good. Salads are OK. I’ve been to their Café as well and everything there is way overpriced. Though I will admit the crepes are delicious. But not $ 8 delicious.

My bf works in the area and when I meet him for lunch(like today) we always go here. Today I had a salad which they make with whatever you want in it. I suggest loading up because unless you get the deluxe items its all the same price and that price is like $ 7. Bf got the pasta of the day which came with a side for like $ 8.50 and he really liked it. Good quality food but kind of pricey if you ask me.

Not only is Sebastian’s a catering company but they have a restaurant I eat lunch there almost every day. They keep us guessing with which hot meals they’ll have and the sandwich and salad station don’t change much but they don’t need to the food is good. There is also a Crêpe station that has great crepes done right and filled with a variety of stuff, from ham and cheese crepes to banana and brown sugar. The place is awesome hit it up for lunch and you’ll see what I mean.

Today, I went to this Sebastian’s location for the first time and was very pleased with the experience. It has everything I want in a «corporate café:» swiftly created made-to-order salads, an abundant selection of sandwiches and soups, and a decent price. I got what felt like a two pound salad for $ 9.40 and it filled me up like few salads do. Everything was fresh, the chicken in it was seasoned properly, and now I find myself looking for an excuse to go back. It’s a nice option for a Seaport lunch if you don’t have time for Sal’s, Legal Test Kitchen, or Morton’s.

After reading Kelly Z. review about the mislabeling of the veggie options, I became a little more vigilant about how my salads were prepared. And although technically free of meat, it still bothers me the tongs that touch meat are simultaneously used to pick up other items in the salad bar. For those not familiar with the system, the ladies behind the counter make the salad for you. They grab a fresh bowl and tongs and select the items you want in your salad. So let’s say you want chicken, well they put some in your bowl and then use the same tongs to grab more vegetables if you ask for it. But now those tongs have touched some other items. I know some super strict vegetarians who would not be comfortable with this at all. Besides the salad bar, they have a hot meal specials, a sandwich line, and crepes made to order. I did not like the crepes at all, and the guy behind the counter had no idea how to make them. The hot meals are really the best deal, but you should find someone to share it with b/c they are too big for one. It is good that this area has another place to choose from, but it is really over priced for what it is.

Sebastian’s has really tried hard to alienate its vegetarian clientele. It’s upsetting enough when they just do away with vegetarian options for a day, but even more upsetting when it turns out, as it has today, that what they’d been labelling as vegetarian actually isn’t. The chef revealed that he made the Mushroom Bisque with chicken stock(‘hey, I was trained in a French restaurant, what do you expect?’). I pointed out that their sign claims the soup is vegetarian, so they took it down. Who knows how many people relied on that sign? Who knows how many times in the past year I’ve unwittingly eaten chicken while assuming that when they label a soup vegetarian it really is vegetarian. But now who knows? It’s unfair and deceptive business practice! If you’re not vegetarian, then the food is great, enjoy. If you are, maybe you should instead go to Flour Café a couple blocks away? Or pack a lunch. FOLLOWUP: I spoke with the manager who was sympathetic and said he had spoken with his chef to make sure the guy never substitutes chicken stock for veggie stock. Nice. Though still not sure if I trust that.

Great Caterers. My company used the for a company meeting and the food was great and so was the service. I went to visit their kitchen once and they are really well organized and professional. They cater all sorts of events in the Boston area.
