Very good pizza. A great place to sit down and just have a slice. Pizza was made very quickly and I was out of there in about 15 minutes.

I love thin and crispy pizza, the way we love other creatures. The only complaint is the price(more than I paid in other joints around) — what you get is what you paid for. It is close, so when I bring it home they are nice and hot. Will visit again when I save up enough money(just a joke if you’re not laughing).

3.5 stars, nothing really special for my buffalo chicken calzone(the 12″ one). The chicken tasted rubbery, and were in small chunks. I guess for 12 bucks… It wasnt bad, but ive definitely had way better calzones at other places. I wish I just got two slices of pizza so I would have saved on the waiting time too. Im rounding up, but there are better food options elsewhere. Tip– they do give discounts to ppl if they know you work in the neighborhood.

Was told an hour and 45 minutes for a delivery less than half a mile away. Didn’t believe them. Should have. Calzone was extremely small. The bite I had was good for what it’s worth. So I guess order here if you think just maybe you’re going to be hungry in a few hours for a maybe a bite of decent food.

Ordered a pizza at 630P, was told it would be an hour and 15 minutes wait. Called after an hour and a half and was told there was a glitch in the system. It would be another hour and 15 minutes until they could get deliver a pizza to us. Thanks, but no thanks. Upper Crust pizza is not worth waiting 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Love getting my pizza fix here whenever I’m in the Beacon Hill area. Love it’s wonderful location which is an oasis of pizza in the middle of the busy Charles Street. The place is a little small but totally worth the visit.

Ridiculously run«business». Ordered a pizza to be delivered at 8:30pm tonight at 5:10pm. Called at 8:40pm only to find out they never filled the order, pizza wasn’t made, never mind delivered by 8:30pm. I would have been waiting until kingdom come if I hadn’t called. crazy! A bunch of sorry excuses like«our website keeps making mistakes» were given. And this was from the store manager! No apologies, no offers to make the pizza ASAP, no offers for a discount for my trouble(I now have no dinner). It amazes me that places like this even are in business… Disgusting.

Good pizza. Decent call if you want a slice on Charles. If you want better pizza in Boston: Ernesto’s, Galleria Umberto or even Picco.

Pizzas here are good. They deliver and have gluten-free doughs. I went with a few friends and they all liked it. When I ordered delivery, the guy showed up 15 mins before he was supposed to, and it was raining. So points there. Even though the pizza tasted better when I ate it in the store, It’s not a place I would go to sit and eat unless it were very late at night. It doesn’t seem to be that kind of place. It’s great for grabbing a quick slice or ordering delivery IMHO.

Stay away from delivery. Ordered 1 pizza at 12:30 and still waiting more than 2 hours later… brutal.

Pizza was reasonably priced and tasted good. It was a little burnt/black on the bottom for my taste, but still some of the better pizza that I have had in Boston. Delivery was timely despite the fact that it was a weekend, and the cheesy bread was excellent.

My wife, her niece, and I stopped in here this past Sunday to pick up a pie to eat on our drive back to Connecticut. We ordered a small size pizza, which was tons of food for the three of us. We waited for it, and it didn’t take too long. The pizza itself was quite good — we’d definitely go back if we were in the area.

We first stopped here several years ago while shopping along Charles St. It was just as good this time as we remember and we will go back the next time we are in town!

Last night, I noticed a hole in the wall and decided to try it out instead of Figs. Upper Crust was full of locals, so my boyfriend and I figured it was going to be a great place to get a take out meal to eat at Hatch Shell for a movie. We ordered a mini buffalo chicken calzone, the slice of the month(teriyaki chicken with broccoli) and a slice of cheese pizza. After ordering, we were notified that it would take 30 minutes to get the calzone due to the full capacity of the restaurant. However, since we waited patiently, they popped the calzone in as soon as possible and gave us a complimentary slice. The service is absolutely spectacular; the staff were friendly and understanding. The food was AWESOME. I scarfed down my calzone and my boyfriend was satisfied with his slices. I would recommend this place to anyone who is willing to wait for their great food. Thanks Upper Crust!

We got great service but the pizza was nothing special. Im not a fan of thin crust pizza, so that might be a problem. I order 2 pizzas, 1 with mushrooms which I found it had too much salt but the other one with the Zucchini was good.

Designer fancy pizza. It cost more than standard pizza but it’s definitely a little better. It taste great and the variety is vast. I recommend this pizza place if your in Beacon Hill and need a slice of pizza.

The pizza was amazing, i made my own combination of artichokes, caramelized onions and Italian sausage. It was perfect! The only thing that made the experience not worth it was the extremely long wait.

Like the 3 stars says, Upper Crust is A-OK. The location is prime for grabbing a late-night snack after hanging out downtown and before jumping on the red line to head home. And I love any reason to hang out on Charles Street. The 90s jams kept me happy while I was waiting for my slices(to be warmed…) The thin crust style is good, but uninspired — especially for the price. I’ve been hesitant to patronize this business because of what I’ve heard of its history(and the subsequent opening of the Just Crust), but the employees seemed pretty happy to me and it sounds like the business has changed its ways. Nothing to go out of your way for, but if you’re in the area and need a quick bite, it’ll do.

I love Upper Crust! The workers are always so friendly and helpful and chatty, and I love the pizza so much. It’s thin crust, with tons of customization options. I love getting the slice combo: two huge slices(cheese, pepperoni, or the slice of the day/month) with a fountain drink. I usually have to take the second slice home, but it reheats well and makes excellent leftovers. Also a bonus: free delivery!

In 2011, I discovered Upper Crust Pizzeria in DC. I was sad when they closed that shop but happy they opened a few in the New England area. Upper Crust Pizzeria, especially the one in Beacon Hill, is one of my pizza joints in this area. Some of our favorites include: 1. Beacon Hill: sun dried tomato, breaded eggplant 2. The Harvard Street: sliced tomato, fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, garlic 3. The John«Chief» Bucyk: pepperoni, baby mushroom *Usually add caramelized onions or white onions 4. Caesar Salad: fresh romaine lettuce, lemon wedge, parmesan cheese slice, fresh croutons, tart Caesar salad dressing

My favorite area in Boston is Beacon Hill so I was looking for a place that had gluten free food for our last dinner while in town. They only offer the gluten free crust on the 14″ size pizza which is more than enough for one person. Had I actually thought of how large that is my husband and I could have split it — but instead we ended up with two pizzas — fatties! That’s OK though because I was famished and almost ate the entire thing myself. Choose from a long list of signature pizzas or build your own where you can choose your own meats, cheese, seafood and veggie options. Pizza was thin, tasty and crunchy my only qualm being that it barely had any sauce. Girl behind the counter was super friendly and informed us it would take about 30 minutes to bake our pie which was fine because we had time. Had we known we could have perhaps placed the order in ahead of time. Fortunately it was not busy and we waited without a problem. There is one long communal table if you dine in and a TV to kill some time. They also have several salads and for those not requiring a gluten free crust, you can get pizza by the slice. Great place overall to catch a pie in the great Beacon Hill neighborhood. Fun fact: You can catch a glimpse of this pizza spot in The Departed movie!
