A more expensive Applebee’s, with way less impressive atmosphere. The food is okay, and the service is average. This is not somewhere to write home to mom about. I wouldn’t recommend or dissuade someone from coming here as I feel fairly neutral about the place. I ordered the fajitas and they were good, just a little salty. The roast beef sandwich was average. The waitress we had was in training and her trainer kept awkwardly correcting her right in front of us. It made the meal a little weird.

Had a Bloody Mary, which was good; but the food from then on was less-than-tasty. I ordered the BBQ Baby Back Ribs had a flavor that was different from any I’d had before(and not in a good way). The«Garlic Mashed Potatoes» were COLD and tasted NOTHING like garlic… they had NO taste, except for what reminded me of powdered potatoes from my camping days. The beans? Yuck! My wife had the Tuna Melt and had no stated opinion. Would I return? Maybe, if I wanted to drink… which I don’t do much anymore.

Fine, just fine. Canyons churns out decent food in a comfortable setting. It’s difficult to characterize the menu, since it has such a variety of items. There’s definitely a southwest theme, and a coyote as part of the signage on the building, but they also have Cajun, Italian, Asian and classic American dishes. Bangkok Thai salad, chicken fettucine, or Indian butter chicken? They also have a large selection of burgers, sandwiches and main dishes, so you can definitely find something to meet your taste and dietary needs. Service was prompt and they have comfortable booths as well as tables. Lunch is often a busy time, with a large number of office parks in the general vicinity. Food quality is good and quantity plentiful. Lunch salad came in a giant bowl that could have served two. Several in our group were able to pack up half of it for a meal later. All the dishes met with our approval, and we’ll definitely be back.

Was a good visit. Had wicked shrimp as an appetizer. Dinner was Salmon and I had the butter chicken. Both were excellent. Steven was our server and was attentive and personable. Great job everybody.

Under new ownership as another reviewer wrote and the menu is more Tex Mex IMHO. Not my favorite style so take review with grain of salt. All 6 of us all enjoyed our meals. Started off with corn fritters which everyone enjoyed and devoured. Cowboy burrito, ribs, Tequila Shrimp, fajitas. I found the Tequila shrimp on the salty side and didn’t care as much for the heavy seasoning. I found the ingredients combined was different — tiger prawns | mushrooms | red cabbage | cilantro | garlic | rice | smoked bacon | ranchero cheese | tomatoes and maybe it had too much going on and something simpler would have been more to my liking — drop the bacon and cheese for example. I heard the Cowboy burrito was a little spicy, but overall no dish was«too» spicy. Server was attentive and did a good job — didn’t catch his name. He offered to split the bill.

The gentleman was very prompt in coming over to ask us what we wanted, we needed a few minutes to look over the drink menu so he said he would come back. We decided what we wanted and waited… and waited. at this point we considered leaving, which in hindsight is what we should have done. Over 15 minutes later a different gentleman comes over and takes our order by then we knew what we wanted for drinks and dinner. Our drinks came fairly quickly and the food followed not that much later. I ordered the Spicy Tiger Shrimp with rice and veggies. As there is the word«spicy» in the name I assumed they would be spicy, wrong. They were overcooked stringy bland«shrimp». I ate one and knew that was all that I could stomach. The rice, overdone and in a pool of water that would have taken several napkins to sop up. How do you mess up rice? The worst rice I’ve ever had by a LONG shot. We didn’t see a waiter again until we were finished, I had no beverages and a full plate of food. He asked if I wanted another beverage and I said no, he then asked if he could take my full plate of food away. Maybe if there is a full plate of food there is something wrong and you should inquire. Awful food. Awful experience. Clearly nothing has changed. Highlight of my evening was that McDonald’s is serving breakfast all day so I could actually get some decent food to eat. As sad of a statement as that is.

Canyons is under new ownership, and has been completely redone! It is wildly better in both quality of food and overall experience than before! If you’ve been to Canyons in the past you were likely disappointed, but you won’t be if you give it another shot now!

We were staying at a hotel right down the street and decided to eat here after working all day. Wait staff was okey, not the best. All the food is pretty much previously frozen too. It probably would have been better if I had been drinking. The spring rolls we ordered were good, but again, they were a previously frozen product which doesn’t help this place out. I ordered a Cobb salad, and was happy with it. It was large and everything was fresh. My boyfriend ordered the prime rib sandwich and wasn’t thrilled. The meat they used looked previously frozen, but I could be wrong on that. The salsa we got was out of a jar/can…they would get better reviews of the food was actually hand made and not from a box.

Went to this place for lunch today. Had a horrible experience. It took more than 20 minutes for our starters to arrive. Then only one part of our main course was brought and by the time they brought the tortillas our veggies became cold. The worst part was they served us cheese that had mould growth. Will never go back to this place again or recommend anyone to go.

Canyons is the same type of restaurant as say a TGIFriday’s or Applebee’s but without the flair and noise. I had a salad that was just OK. The dressing usually makes it for a salad, and it was just ho-hum. I ate about half and got bored eating it. The server never checked on us once, just dropped off the check shortly after we received our meal. Glasses remained empty. Décor is plain but clean. Reminded me of a hospital waiting room. Large parking lot but it was mostly empty, same as the restaurant for a weekday dinner service. I have no desire to return. Food: 3 Service: 1 Parking: 4 Ambiance: 2

This place used to be pretty good and reliable. My last two visits — two weeks ago and about six months before that — have shown me that it’s no longer worth going to. The service has been poor, and the food has gotten worse each time. This last time we went on Father’s Day, and it was pretty empty. We really should have taken that as a sign. My dad ordered one pasta dish and was served another, and ate about 1⁄3 of it before declaring that he’s had better pasta from Lean Cuisine. I had the BLT and it was pretty dry and just not anything special. My brother and husband both thought their meals were not very good, either. I just can’t justify going here any more — the price isn’t worth what you’re getting, and no one seems to care.

Canyons is on the way out of the office park I work in, making it easy to stop in at least once a week, if not more. It’s a nice little place to wait out traffic! Lots of beers on tap, full bar and friendly bartenders that make great drinks! Everything I’ve had to eat has also been very good, my favorite, surprisingly, was the chicken gyro.

Awful customer service. No one is even care that you are there. We asked 2 waiters who were chatting for a menu after 10″ of waiting at our table. The guy said your waiter will give you. We are not yours waiter. … Whattttt? Ok. I feel like I’m in Europe. Bad jokes, making fun of me for ordering water during happy hours . Foods are ok

We are here last night and were dissatisfied overall. I had a burger, which was way over cooked, dry, and flavorless. It came with one super tiny slice of tomato and limp warm lettuce, yuck! The hubs had the crispy fish burger, the fish was moist but super greasy and NOT crispy. Fries were ok. I would’ve given one star, but the apples that came with the kids meals were set up like a swan and the service was good. Probably never going back for the overpriced bad food!

Tea was weak, Caesar salad had NO flavor, fries were cold. Reuben was decent and so was the Almost Famous Chicken. Server was nice but service was slooow. For the price all should’ve been better. We won’t be returning here.

Ugh. For some reason I really want to give this place a good review, but I just can’t. I have a friend who loves this place so I come here with him on occasion. Their burgers are good, but they charge too much for them. Frankly everything on the menu needs to be dropped a couple bucks pricewise. The last time I came here I got a trio/sampler type thing for 12 bucks. Theoretically this was priced fairly. Came with unspecified soup, wound up being tortilla esque, basic salad, and a choice of a sandwich. The soup was not what I’m used to for tortilla soup. It was more tomato-y than expected and it didn’t really have very much spice to it at all. It also came out lukewarm. I chose a Caesar salad which was probably the best part of the trio. Both the salad and the soup came in small bowls around or less than the size of my two fists put together. I chose to get the blta sandwich which wound up being a small half sandwich and it’s probably the saddest blt type sandwich I have ever had. It had one itty bitty piece of bacon on it, a slice of avacodo, less than the equivalent of a mushy leaf of lettuce, I don’t actually remember tomato on it but it could have just been sad and unremarkable like the rest of the sandwich and slipped my mind. There was also cheese on it, and I don’t think I’ve ever had a BLT with cheese on it. There was so little of the bacon that my sandwich literally tasted like a cheese avocado sandwich… Our waiter was nice and didn’t make us feel rushed or like we were an inconvenience. I hate to say it but my food wasn’t very good. Prices at this place should go down a buck or two on items like burgers(which are probably the most solid item on the menu) and the quality of the other items need to go up. This place was pretty dead and I’m sure that’s why. I went to the Canyons in Monroe before it closed but I didn’t feel like it was this dreadful. I still felt like the options were a little blah but I wasn’t dissatisfied with the food there. I don’t think I would go to this place unless my friend wanted to go here specifically again when he gets back from the marines. Otherwise, Red Robin is down the street.

Everything this place does is great! Have a great drink to go with your food. Happy Hour is the best time to try stuff out too.

This review concerns the bar part of Canyons, as that’s the part I know… Canyons is literally two minutes away from where I work, so I usually end up there for happy hour at least once a week. The drinks are strong and cheap, and the waitstaff is very helpful, friendly, and attentive. The food is decent. The dry ribs are extremely tasty, but a bit on the expensive side for the amount you get. The bar area does get loud around happy hour time…

Nice restaurant with a cool theme. Enjoyed the murals around the room. The food came a bit slow but at least it was tasty! Would definitely recommend the salads, especially the Bangkok Express. Tuna sandwich however isn’t the best.

Canyons is down the street from my office so its a place we use for meetings after work w coworkers. Their food is ok but the service is better, food comes pretty quick & the beer is cold enough to wet my whistle on a hot Seattle day.

We came here with family this week as part of a holiday visit. We picked Canyons because it was easy to get to. Also, we figured they had a menu that would work for everyone. Sure enough, Canyons menu has several pages. Quit an array of options. However, I think Canyons tries too hard. For example, they have lots of appetizers. But because they try to do so many things, they don’t do anything especially well — except maybe the tortilla soup — which I thought was particularly good. So speaking of our experience, we were seated at a comfortable corner table. Our server was excellent. He was attentive and responsive, and our orders were delivered in very good time. We requested a variety of dishes including barbecue ribs, coconut prawns, teriyaki, fish tacos, hush puppies and enchiladas. I ordered a BLT. It was not good. The bread was disappointing and I didn’t like its shredded lettuce. The shredded lettuce ruined the sandwich. Still, everyone else expressed satisfaction with their lunch.
