Denny’s

I have been going to this location for years as the Totem Lake location is notoriously awful!
Well, I discovered that the store shut down without any particular reason. I am disappointed that that management did not say anything aside from «Closed».
I hope it is a a remodel and not a complete shut down otherwise Denny’s has lost quite a few customers.

Called ahead of time because I only had a 30 minute lunch and ordered a Quesadilla Burger. Picked it up, went back to work opened the box, and realized there was no sauce, or avocado on the meal. The burger patty as well as meal looked very interesting, and nothing like the Denny’s on 128^th in Everett. I called to let someone know, and all they could say is «Oh no, were sorry for that, there’s nothing we could do». WOW! Will not be coming here again.

I have never had a problem with this Denny’s until today. I waked in with my family and waited to be seated or at least acknowledged by the 4 staff members who looked at us while we waited. One who was at the desk and didn’t bother to help. There was a hair in our food and a lady named Katrina came over to our table with a loud ass mouth and attitude. She was rude and kept making snide comments. She blew up the situation into more than what it was and that’s no way to speak to customers. This is no way to run an establishment but I guess my expectations were high but reminded myself that this is Denny’s.

I’ve been coming back to this Denny’s for years, and I keep coming back for three reasons:
1) I love breakfast and coffee any time of day.
2) They always cook my food exactly how I order it (you’d be amazed how many diners can’t seem to get the difference between over-​easy and over-​medium eggs)
3) The service is always genuine and prompt. The serve staff here are real people. Like any host, they treat you well, and take the time to get to know you as you continue to come back. The sense of community here is strong.
I’ll always continue to stop by this Denny’s whenever I’m in town. Truly America’s Diner.

The food is fine, but EVERY TIME we get shunted off to the family/​noisy kid annex. I think this will be out last time here; my kids literally sit and read or color during our entire time, yet we are still relegated to the awful side room. Infuriating.

I know Denny’s is mediocre but I never go in with any expectations (except that my food is edible). Today I went withy fiancé and ordered a skillet. I got my eggs on it over easy. I ate around the egg at first, getting the potatoes and veggies, then I went for the eggs. After a few bites I ran into a little crunch. I thought «oh no there’s eggshell in this.» But it was teeny tiny so I tried to get over it and just eat the rest anyway. So I move on to the next bite and bam there’s a big chunk of eggshell. I’m pretty much gagging at this point and my fiancé sees me spit it out into my napkin. He asks what’s wrong and I tell him. As we payed, the manager got uppity with my fiancé that I already ate half of the plate (the veggies and potatoes I had before the eggs). I get that food service is a thankless job, but I felt it to be totally rude. I don’t think I’ll go to this location ever again.

My wife and I went to this establishment and did not have high expectations, as it is a Denny’s. However, the service and food was so terrible Denny’s found a new low. The fries were undercooked and the meals were bland. The waiter was rude to my wife but polite to me. Even the pen they gave us for the check fell apart. Don’t go here. Awful. Just awful.

Grand slam and grand slammich. Both good. Service is great.
The grand slammich comes with hash browns. If you are craving both hash browns and pancakes, order both of these to share.

We used to come here all the time and never had a problem. Not until today. Waiting for over 10 min and still no one to seat us… not even that busy. Another issue… in a 2 min period the cook tossed sausage and bacon onto the counter and 2 different servers picked them up with their nasty fingers and placed them on customers plates. Gross. They lost us as customers.

Ok food, but staff let their friend smoke at a table next to us, gross! I don’t care if it was late!

SO slow. Absolutely terrible service, and the server liked to blame it on everything else instead of just apologizing. She would complain about everything instead of asking us how we were doing. I completely understand that people have bad days, and I too work in the same work field– but this was just not acceptable.

Waited 20 mins to be seated

Gave up and left
No sign ever again of our waitress
No interest
No care
No love
No mas

Good food good service and a clean place. A good Denny’s experience in Washington. You can’t go wrong with breakfast all day!

I have been very pleasantly surprised at this venue. I had my doubts based on the Unilocal reviews and my past experiences with Denny’s. I host a women’s networking group that has been meeting here for the past few months. The service has been stellar and the food is also well made. They have a lot of healthy options as well as those late night favorites too. I just love having the option of having breakfast for dinner!
Don’t let your preconceived notions prevent you from visiting this Denny’s!

The staff is nice but every time we go there the hostess has to search for a clean table. They seem really disorganized. It would have been pretty easy to just walk out without paying. I wish they would clean the place up.

Worst Dennys EVER. I’m not picky and very patient but this place takes the cake for the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Go here if you want to wait 10 minutes for your drinks, watch other people get their drinks and place their order when they arrived after you, then wait another 25 minutes for your order which wasn’t even complete. The server stated the toast was on its way, but I ended up finishing my food sans toast. The waitress just smiled and walked away after I addressed the issue. We thought a reliable chain would be a nice way to start the day but left very disappointed. Spend your money elsewhere because you’ll just leave irritated and angry.

This location is fantastic! We had quick attentive service that wasn’t too hovering. Just right. The place is really clean and the staff were friendly. Our food was perfect & ready quickly. I love dennys for comfort food. The grand slam is a classic that never disappoints & the coffee is really good for diner coffee. I only wish there was a dennys closer to queen anne.

I really used to like this denny’s, and that’s the only reason I’m giving it two stars here. Generally they are wonderful. One experience I had on November 2^nd of this year has reduced my kindness to nothing.
It was my anniversary, and we were low on cash. The plan was to hop over to the local Dennys and have a wonderful, slow breakfast together. Well, we walked in the door and it was crammed. This was the first time we asked if we should go somewhere else, but decided we would just wait for our usual goodness. I put my name down for two and asked how long it would take, and was told 15 minutes. I’m usually pretty nonconfrontational, so i waited a good 30 minutes before saying something to the hostess. At this point a dozen or so people had been seated that came in after us. Once she heard my name, another waitress and the manager quickly huddled together looking over at us. Overhearing part of the conversation, it was clear that our name had been purposfully skipped. I believe they thought (for some reason) that we had left, so they didn’t even bother to call the name.
After we were FINALLY seated, 45 minutes after arriving, we were stuck in the stupid long back table in the back room. There were five other tables available, and this is where they sat us. The table was covered in spilled soda and everything was sticky. It was a table that was intended to seat four, two each on the long sides. It was pushed against a wall so that we both had to sit opposite eachother on the short sides, so we were extremely far away from eachother for a supposedly romantic breakfast. It took another ten minutes to flag down a waitress to move to another table and get some coffee.
I got my usual bacon avocado burrito, no bacon, and Jeremy got a steak omelett. Not only was the service terrible, so was the food! I’ve never had this happen in a place so streamlined and corporate, where they just nuke the food. It should be simple. But Jeremy’s omelett was literally frozen in the middle, like they cooked the eggs but didn’t heat the meat. It was disgusting. At this point, we didn’t want to deal with the hassle of walking out, but we should have. Our waitress was extremely unfriendly. She never checked on us a single time. When we managed to wave her down for a small request (side of salsa, refilled coffees) she was extremely rude.
I really wanted to enjoy this experience, I kept giving them chances for redemption and hit a red light at every single turn. We should have walked out the first time we thought of it. The whole experience took just shy of two hours, and it was that quick because we weren’t even able to finish our food. I really liked this location, and I am dissapointed to say I won’t be returning.

As a child I thought this restaurant was GREAT, but maybe because the only times I had been at a Denny’s was when it was across the street from Disneyland.
This particular location is not across the street from any such place and the food was borderline bad to yucky.
Our service was poor, the coffee was tepid (which is generous) and the woman’s restroom was a mess. The wait time from ordering to receiving food was the only good part of the experience.
The last observation was the set up. It was a bit awkward. When you walk in there is no host station. You walk into a row of tables, turn a corner and 15 ft in front is an island which turned out to be the cash wrap. Interesting :/​
Will not be returning in the future.

Horrible food and service.
My wife and I ate here a few weeks back and waited for 45 minutes to order our food then another 45 to get our food. The restaurant was not busy as it was Tuwsday night at nine. When we did get the food my burger was dried out as if it had been sitting under the heat lamp since I ordered it and my wife’s chicken enchilada was lacking an important part… the chicken in addition to being under cooked. I used to love Denny’s for quick bite however it seems now standards have gone down while prices go up and the menu is reduced. Skip it and hit Shari’s in mill creek or down the road to the little restaurant in Country Village.
