Oceano Sushi

I don’t know where to start, this place is amazing. Every person I bring here from out of town loves this place and begs me to take them back every time they visit. The feel inside is very clean and nice but not so fancy that you feel uncomfortable in work out clothes if you happend to just finish up a walk. The roll prices are moderate to a little pricey but you get what you pay for. They are the best rolls I’ve ever had and the presentation is so nice. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I usually have my toddler with me and they are patient and kind. The dessert rolls are so good too. This place is not boring at all, they’ve thought of so many different types of rolls and I’ve never had a bad one. I just love it!

Such a beautiful presentation, you almost just want to look at it, instead of eat, but each bite is such a treat!
We love this place and will be back every chance we get. We had the Dragon roll for the first time, and it was very good. Nice friendly people, too.

Love Oceano! Service and presentation are always great, food is even better! We are never disappointed. The all you can eat deal is amazing and you just can’t beat the value. Perfect if you have growing kids that love sushi like I do. I would have never expected a place that offers all you can eat to provide such quality sushi and variety. It’s a family favorite.

Came here for my birthday a few months back and have been coming back for take out ever since! I am a picky sushi eater and they have never disappointed me with their delicious creations.

I came here last night with my man. He’s been coming here since he was a young boy because his family lives really close by. The restaurant is in a weird location and may not look too fancy from the outside but PLEASE give this cute place a chance.
As we walk in, the place is BEAUTIFUL! Very nice décor and furniture.
A nice girl greeted us and let us have a seat. As we sat down, our waitress gave us our menus and the experience truly began.
We ordered a Seattle roll and two of tempura California rolls, edemame and gyoza.
Let me tell you, ALL OF IT was so good! The gyozas were filled with yummy pork, making them very hearty. The rolls were also delicious and presented on a pretty boat! (see pictures). At the end, our waitress gave us a fresh orange dessert!
Overall, I would come back here again. I felt very welcomed at Oceano Sushi.

Delicious food. Everything from the cocktails, sushi and even unique kids meals were delicious. Beautiful presentation and ambiance. Staff our very friendly.

I honestly don’t understand how this restaurant got such a high rating.
3 stars and here is my reasoning behind it.
Pros: clean with nice ambiance. The food presentation is more than beautiful. The service was average at times lacking. This shouldn’t be the case when the place is nearly empty during dinner hours.
Cons: waiter/​waitress (we had 2 for some reason) kept forgetting our items. We kept having to ask for stuff. This was not just us, the family sitting at the table in front of us had the same issues.
Food mediocre to say the least. I’d have to say I didn’t like anything we ordered off the menu. I don’t know if that’s because of the selection they put on the «all you can eat menu» to reduce cost, but we had a good variety of about 5 different rolls. All of which were not good. Nigiri was fine, but how can you possibly mess up a plain piece of raw fish?
In any case, my rating and review is based off of the establishment itself. I don’t want to be so cruel and give it only 1 star due to food, so I must be fair. Just wish their food was as good as it looked.

I don’t understand how this restaurant is rated 4.5 stars. First of all, the service was poor in that the waitress was AWOL for awhile. Food was ok but nothing to write home about and quite expensive. There was some horrible techno music that literally gave me a headach. Very disappointed and I have to question the reliability of Unilocal ratings.

It’s hard to find a not too expensive but good sushi place with a refreshing ambience. Good food, good service and good ambience.

When it comes to sushi this is my favorite place. The staff, presentation, atmosphere, and food are off the hook.
It is so strange how a sushi roll can cost around the same amount everywhere you go to eat. Yet this place makes you feel like you just purchased a $ 200 roll.
In my opinion it is the only place in the Northwest that has such a great selection of wonderful tasting rolls. I agree with the review written by Krissy and suggest writing down the names of the rolls she suggested because she is totally on target.
You owe it to yourself to try this place. So go get some. :)

My friends and I were supposed to go to Sushi Ring in Silver Lake but for some reason they were closed on a Tuesday night… So I was frantically searching for a place that offered all you an eat sushi for dinner and found this gem!
For the price you pay for all you can eat deal is $ 29 plus tax but it is so worth it. The quality of each sushi roll, nigiri, hand rolls etc was such great quality. They give you a good portion of fish and rice.
Nice and clean environment! The staff is really polite and is always on top of picking up empty dishes & refilling your drinks!
Lastly, shout out to Julio for being our sushi chef! He was so nice and always remembered what we ordered when there was four of us just eating away and just him making our sushi! And he made us this cute little dessert!
I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

After a great first experience here, my SO and I decided to come back for dinner with some of our friends and the service was just as amazing as the first time. From the presentation to the taste of the sushi, everything was perfect!

Awesome food and service! The food was tasty and ten stars for presentation. My husband enjoyed the blossom roll while I had vegetarian sushi and Yasai noodles. I also had lychee sake which was soooo yummm! Green Tea Mochi ice cream was thumbs up! There was a whole Bunch of vegetarian sushi options which was a surprise from other places I had been to. We also got some free endamame while we waited for our food and ended our dinner with a free orange (see pics). The ambience of the restaurant is really good, total date night worthy.
Update: Been here 3 times already and it’s a winner each time. It has become our yo go sushi place!

AMAZING! Sushi is one of my favorites and I have frequented many sushi joints throughout Bothell, Mill Creek, Lynnwood and Kirkland. Oceano has been in my back yard (almost literally) all this time and I just discovered it! I don’t know what took me so long but I’m never turning back.
The rolls are huge and very reasonably priced. But really I have had a lot of good sushi but this is amazing. I almost don’t want to write a review because I want to keep this place a secret.

We tried this place on the recommendation of a friend. Being half Asian and growing up with it, I’m pretty picky when it comes to sushi. This place went beyond my expectations. I didn’t expect too much, as the other sushi places in Bothell were disappointing.
We ordered 4 rolls and they were also very accommodating for my friend who is vegan. They worked with their menu and changed a few ingredients to meet her needs. Both our orders came out on a wooden boat with pretty garnish. I really liked that thru brought it all out on the same «platter,» this allowed us to have a lot of extra room on the average sized table.
I also ordered dessert, green tea mochi ice cream. I’m used to places just bringing them out on a plate whole, but this place goes even further, by slicing the ice cream into fourths, with a chocolate drizzle and whipped cream with sprinkles topped with a cherry on the middle. I was skeptical of the combination, but so yummy.
They are kid friendly, so maybe not ideal for a date night, but great for catching up with friends! Go here!

My favorite place to get Sushi in the Mill Creek area. I think it’s run by a Hispanic family and they have done an incredible job with both the food and dinning aesthetic. It’s always clean inside, food execution/​presentation is detailed and intentional, and the quality is great. The Rooster Salmon hand roll is one of my fav hand rolls I’ve ever had. I love the deep house/​tech house lounge music they always have on.

Solid three stars here.
We were visiting family in Seattle for the holidays, and decided to come here for dinner one night. They were very accommodating of our larger group (with kids), so that is a plus for them here.
The food wasn’t any to write home about, but it was solid. One thing to note is that it seems like they combine all orders onto one large boat for the table, so don’t forget what you ordered unless you don’t mind sharing.
The one thing worth mentioning was that I ordered the «special nigiri» which was salmon with crab and jalapeño on top. I was hoping it would be a small slice of fresh jalapeño for some kick, but was disappointed that it was pickled jalapeño. This flavor overpowered the rest of the bite and I would not recommend ordering this! Stick to the traditional nigiri if that is your thing.

Just moved into the neighborhood and I must say, the random local casinos in strip malls are a bit strange and tacky; but I suppose it’s better than the inundation of strip clubs that I’m used to in Portland. However, oceano was a very pleasant surprise, as I was definitely not expecting a sushi restaurant (and a classy one, at that!) to be in the vicinity of said tackiness.
The staff is incredibly attentive! For such a small restaurant, there is plenty of staff on hand ready to refill your drinks, check on your meal, and pre-​bus your table.
Sushi is fresh, and presentation is practically a work of art. I love my share of downtown Seattle sushi joints, but to find something comparable in bothell (within walking distance, be still my heart) of all places — needless to say, I am thrilled!

Oceano far exceeded my expectations. I mean this restaurant is located right in a strip mall of cheap restaurants next to a casino, so my expectations weren’t very high. Mind blown.
The sushi rolls and sashimi are extremely fresh and full of flavor. Not only that but everything was presented like artwork. Everything was absolutely beautiful. The ambiance and service was nice too.
We ordered the Japanese Egg Rolls for our appetizer and the Mt Rainer, Happy and Ceviche Rolls for our entrees. As well as a 9 piece sashimi set.
The Egg Rolls were delicious! Nice and crispy and full of shrimp and crab. All the rolls were amazing! Each one had its own unique flavors and textures. What sets these rolls apart from other rolls I’ve had is you can taste every single component in each roll. The flavor combinations were out of this world. My favorite one was the Mt Rainer Roll, the crunchy shrimp in contrast to the soft rice and crab salad amazing.
You can actually customize your sashimi set here! Which is freaking awesome. You can pick and chose what you want from their fresh sashimi list. They don’t have the biggest list in the world but what they do have is fresh and delicious. The sashimi pieces were supple and thick. The salmon was like butter!
I am so happy more and more wonderful sushi places keep popping up in the north end. Oceano will definitely be part of my sushi rotation. I can’t wait to go back and try other things!!!
