Was a little weary of trying this place after reading the reviews since I am a huge sushi fan. BUT it was actually really good! Loved the green dragon roll and everything seemed very fresh. 3 stars because the service was just very very slow. Had empty wine glasses and all our water was gone and couldn’t ever find anyone to get more, once we did find someone they were so busy because everyone else was having the same problem with the slow service. But the food was great. Just step up the service. Maybe more people need to be working there

Loved the sushi here! We had the mango tango, red bull, mill creek roll, & one other that I can’t remember. All were fantastic! Miso was great as well. I enjoyed the salad, but it’s definitely not your typical«ginger salad» and probably wouldn’t order it again. I was also super bummed that the giant banner saying«all you can eat sushi» is not actually true… Only reason why they didn’t get 5 stars.

I am going to keep this short and sweet: I love the food here. Great customer service and a lovely inviting atmosphere. I ordered a variety of rolls and loved every one.

I was drawn to this place by the promise of «All You Can Eat Sushi» on the large banner out front, as I pass by frequently when running errands. I get inside, and was informed by the waitress that they«don’t do that anymore.» What? There’s a large banner outside! Not wanting to be rude, I decided to stay, and ordered a Sushi Combo B and a Salmon Torched Roll. The roll was not bad, and the torched salmon was a nice touch. BUT: The Sushi Combo had some obviously bad ingredients. The avocado in the California Roll was brown and the raw fish was kind of stringy and off-tasting. To top it all off, they charged me $ 2.50 for one 12 oz. can of Diet Coke(available at Costco for 22 cents)!!! Certainly not coming back here. Go to Sushi Zen up the road for a much, much better experience and superb food quality.

Probably one of the better sushi places in WA. Small, inviting and decent prices.

We love this place. The sushi is fantastic, they’ve got Mac & Jack on tap, and there is always super mood-appropriate 80’s music playing. Nothing says authentic sushi place like Chicago playing over the speakers. Seriously though, food is great and the staff are super helpful.

Super bummed. We ordered take out and for $ 45 got a tiny portion of sushi roll, minuscule plain steamed vegetables and a not impressive main entrée. The Real Crab Roll was okay, but warm and the sushi rice was on the hard side. We also ordered a Mango Tango roll and were super excited since it’s gluten free and boasts rice cracker bits! The roll barely had any spicy mayo and we didn’t detect a single rice cracker bit among the tiny portion we were given. We were really hoping for a crunch! We also ordered a side of steamed veggies and were given 4 florets of broccoli, 3 thinly sliced bits of carrot, a few errant cabbage and onion slices, 3 thinly sliced bits of squash, 4 one-inch sections of asparagus stalk and 2 snap peas. All steamed to mushy consistency. My husband ordered the«large plate» Onion Spicy Pork entrée and was underwhelmed. The brown rice upgrade was a very odd consistency of brown glue molded into a shape that I cannot even describe. It was almost as if it was supposed to be used in a roll, but then discarded and folded into our Styrofoam container. Literally folded. Odd. The pork was not that great and the highlight of the side salad was the one blueberry found under the lettuce. To say we were massively disappointed is an understatement. Maybe my expectations were too high going in. The menu looks wonderful.

Very welcoming & tasty, each time!(We’ve sat at the bar & at the tables.) The fish is fresh & the presentation has always been nice. They even took special care to give all the moms flowers for Mothers’ Day today.(I’m not a mother, but I still appreciate the sentiment.)

Great, quiet spot for lunch. Their happy hour all day, every day has some good options. They have one of the largest, most diverse roll menus I’ve seen lately and I like how it’s organized by type so I don’t have to dig through fried rolls mixed in to find what I want!

I ordered the Las Vegas roll here($ 8). Pricing here seems reasonable… I always ask for a side of eel sauce with my roll and I was a bit disappointed with the eel sauce, it seemed more salty than expected… the vegas roll was decent but not the best I’ve tasted… atmosphere is older and not updated… music was the same… Server was nice… the food filled my tummy but I probably wouldn’t be back…

This place used to be so good and all my friends would come here too. Since they changed management/owner, it has been nothing but a disappointment. After several attempts of seeing if it was just a fluke, I have came to a conclusion that Wasabi Bay is just not worth going to. I see all the regulars and some of the staff has moved on to Sushi Zen, just down the street. I thought it was pretty bad at the Bay when I could hear the drunken sushi chef yelling at the only waitress in the restaurant. It’s so sad that a place that was once the best of the best has degraded to the worst of the worst.

Never had such bad experience in Japanese restaurant before. I ordered fish and got a small plate of fish face. Can you imagine a small fish face charge about 11 dollars? It smells very bad and totally inedible. The table next to me was also pissed off for waiting about 1 hour having nothing on the table. What a mess!

The food is pretty good and prices are fairly priced. If they did not have such an amazing spicy tiny roll(my favorite) and gyoza, and the hours are open until 10, I wouldn’t come here as much as I do. The service is pretty bad… I’ve been here before, as a regular, and had other people served before I was. I was clearly here first but I was ignored. There wasn’t an apology. Again. Sitting here now, and no one has been by to see if we want to order more.

I’ve been here twice and both times it was great! I love their $ 12 combos! The Seattle rolls and spicy tuna rolls are delicious. My husband got a big combo with all sorts of different stuff and he loved it. He’s not really a big sushi lover either so that’s saying a lot ;) This will probably be my go to place(for now) when I’m craving sushi!

Okay okay okay. Whoever is the sushi chef on Saturday nights is awesome. I always get take out that my husband picks up so I can’t say thank you enough(I called in once) but«Thank You!» since moving sushi takeout night to Saturday, my chirashi has been consistently good. Nicely plated(or in this case, takeout styrofoam boxed?), arranged and packed, the variety is great with interesting cuts of fish and other sea creatures(giant scallop, octopus). I’ve been a happy clam(hehe) since.

With three to four menu pages of «Special Rolls», Wasabi Bay has some fun and unique sushi roll flavors! They did have the more generic types(ex. Seattle roll, spider roll, etc.), but I recommend that you try a few of their more adventurous flavors! :) Our group went with the: –Shrimp yakitori — comes with 2 skewers of shrimp on a bed of greens –Half order of the Unagi Heaven Roll(4 pieces) — the macadamia nuts add a interesting taste and texture to the roll; first time trying sushi with nuts! –Half order of the Fire House Roll(4 pieces) — spicy! Highly recommend for visitors who enjoy a nice kick to their sushi roll :) –Nawasaki Jjam Bbong — spicy seafood soup, this dish is LARGE and can easily be shared. Warning, the broth is a bit on the spicier end, so I wouldn’t recommend for those with a low spice tolerance –Tempura ice cream — Much sweeter than I expected! The staff is super friendly and the restaurant was clean and quiet. Although dishes are a bit on the pricier side, I think Wasabi Bay is a great little sushi shop. :)

SO disappointed. Took 20 minutes for a server to even come over for our order! Chaotic menu with lots of options(I do like the in: & out: style of explanation on the menu). We ordered a basic roll, a tempura roll, a baked roll & a crunchy roll. They were all terrible. Quality of seafood was sub-par & «fishy» at times. The tempura roll was deep-fried like a jalapeño popper(super crunchy, very greasy) instead of classic tempura. The baked roll had a small fire burning on the plate(intentionally as decoration) & the roll was still on tin foil. Prices seemed higher than other places — with the average roll $ 12-$ 13& sake prices seemed higher. Their«all day happy hour» is a rip. Essentially it’s two lists & you pick an option from each list which saves you about $ 3. We won’t return esp with all the other sushi options in Mill Creek. CONS: Slow service, bad prices, bad quality, tasteless PROS: Groupon

I can’t believe I hadn’t been here before. I always pass it but with all of the newer, nicer looking restaurants in Mill Creek Town Center, this one always gets overlooked. This restaurant is located next to where the old Zen Garden was in a shoddy little strip mall. You can’t miss it with the bright green sign out front. They have a happy hour during the week that you can order two items for $ 12. I was skeptical at first because I was anticipating really small portions but I was surprisingly stuffed after the two. The special came with miso soup which was included in the $ 12 price. Then, I had the veggie/tofu tempura roll and the chicken yakisoba. I would definitely order both again. My friend ended up ordering two rolls and then ordered a third but couldn’t finish it. The service was nice, the place was clean. I will definitely be back. It is probably some of the better sushi available in the area.

Wasabi Bay has a lot of sentimental value for me since it is where my love and I had our first date. This place has gotten a lot better than what it used to be, I’m not sure if they changed owners through the years but I’m a fan. We come here maybe twice a year and the food is pretty solid. They have a nice assortment of rolls and many unique hot dishes. The asparagus and crab soup is tasty and I love the spider roll here. Do not get shumai, it’s not that good. It taste like bad shumai you get in the freezer section. I love the banana bread pudding dessert here, it’s a symphony of flavors and a complete twist on what you would expect. The service here is warm and friendly. The space is rather small so it gets pretty crowded when it’s busy. Wasabi Bay isn’t the best sushi I’ve ever had in my life but it’s a great place to go for some tasty rolls and unique small plates. They also have a nice little happy hour but don’t forget dessert.

My friends had dinner plans there, and I ended up joining them last minute. I love sushi and am super glad I decided to check this place out. What did I love? The nigiri, the sashimi, the rolls, the super long«trays» that most of the food was served on, and the sake(specifically the sake sampler). Negatives — The bathroom is apparently far away. I never made the journey myself, but several others did and the girls weren’t happy about the long path. — Only the sushi combo comes with miso soup. I go out for sushi a lot, and most places I’ve been to include miso soup and a super simple salad with all of the combination dinners. Those items probably don’t cost much and I think they add a lot to the meal, so I was sad that they weren’t included. All in all, a good place to enjoy a sushi dinner. I’ll probably go back if I find myself in the area. :)
