Passed by this place on a random drive exploring the city of Bothell. It’s basically a hole in the wall with some of the best teriyaki I have ever had. I ordered chicken teriyaki for myself, yakisoba noodles for my children, and Mongolian beef for my husband. They were out of Mongolian beef so they offered to give me Beef short ribs for the same price. Mongolian beef was 8.99 and the short ribs were 12.99 so that was really nice of them. Each dish came with two scoops of white rice and a salad. The whole family loved it and the staff was really nice. The only downside is that when you ask for hot sauce they literally only give you one small container. Other than that, the place is in a nice quiet area and is clean. It’s a pretty small place with only a few tables but their food is delicious and well worth the money you pay for it.

We tried out the place tonight after my son’s baseball game. We’re new to Bothell, so we’re experimenting all over town. Another restaurant on the main drag just closed their kitchen, so we stumbled upon this gem as a second choice… Serendipity strikes! I don’t understand why some reviewers are hung up on the décor — at $ 6.99 for generous portions of deliciously charbroiled teriyaki chicken, they should be saying«Arigato» in between bites! Between four of us, we had a teriyaki beef/chicken combo, 2 teriyaki chickens and a chicken Katsu — all generous portion sizes and freshly made, all delicious. The only thing I didn’t like was the salad, but I don’t like iceberg or mayo-based dressing, so that’s just a me thing. We’ll definitely be back!

This place might be a hole in the wall but has the best teriyaki in Bothell. Has a super friendly staff, great prices and are really quick. I’ve eaten here more times than I can count and never been disappointed.

I have eaten their Teriyaki 5 – 6 times. The food I have had has been outstanding. I am working right down the road and have always called in my orders, by the time I have gotten there the food was done. The last time I went I didn’t call ahead, so unfortunately I had to wait for about 10 minutes. The restaurant is so dirty its absolutely disgusting. As I was waiting I peeked into the kitchen and nearly puked in my mouth. Dirty grease covered nastiness. I wont be going back ever, I wish I could get over this cause I really enjoyed their food. but this was too much. I am not sure how they haven’t been shut down by the health department. :(

A group of us have ordered here several times but will not be back. The last couple of times we called it in to have it ready and still had to wait. Believe it or not the last time we called in 40mminutes before and still waited an hour, yep and hour to get our food making us late. The food is just ok, the place looks like it is getting run down. Needs a fix up and a better attitude of the staff. I am assuming they own the place as they are always there when we go in. Lost some great customers!

My new favorite teriyaki joint in all of Bothellandia. Location: Across from Bothell Furniture in downtown Bothell, next to a nail shop. I have ordered chicken katsu three times, and every time its perfect. Super crispy, moist and flavorful. Seriously, its perfect. I have also tried the yakisoba and spicy chicken. The spicy chicken has a little heat, but ask for some hot sauce on the side if you like it hot! Yakisoba was okay, a little mushy one time but I think that was because I didn’t eat it right when I got home. I would order all three dishes again. Each dish comes with salad and rice. The salad is served in a separate container, its iceberg and shredded carrots with their house dressing on the side. The dressing is a little watered down, but that doesn’t bother me. Its just the right amount too. I always get the food to-go, the place is pretty empty in the evening. It takes about 10mins for my order, which is fine by me, the food is always super fresh and hot. Teriyaki Best is the best.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for a few years now, since it’s really close to where I live, and when I’m just too tired to cook, I figured this will fill my need. Unfortunately, I feel like the food has gone downhill recently. The last two times that we took out, I’ve found several of the menu items to be almost inedible. The egg rolls had a funky taste and aroma like they had been cooked in rancid oil. The Mongolian beef tasted like the beef had gone bad. The Teriyaki chicken also had a strange aftertaste. The Kung Pao chicken was really red like it had a lot of food coloring in it, and it was mostly breaded with a bit of dry, rubbery chicken hidden deep within. The gyoza was a bit dry and had been cooked in a oil with perhaps too much sesame oil in it. The iceberg lettuce salad was fresh and crisp with a tangy dressing. I noticed that the vegetables in most of the dishes seemed very fresh – probably the best thing about the dining experience. Just too bad about the meats… I really like the owner. He’s always friendly and courteous and the food is served up fast. The portions are large and the prices are good. If you’re really starving and too tired to cook and don’t care too much about the taste, it fits the bill. I’m hoping the quality can come back up to where it used to be. In the meantime, I’ll probably go a few blocks down to Woodinville and stick with the Phở restaurants.

Been here several times now. Most times for takeout order from the very inexpensive lunch menu(+1 star on value!) For $ 6.01 i get the teriyaki/orange chicken combo, with rice and salad — I love the sweet orange chix sauce, and the teriyaki was pretty good. As others noted, the katsu is very good too, i am not a katsu connosore(intentionally mispelled lol) so i have a hard time judging it, suffice to say it was inhaled. While the building is somewhat dilapidated, the restaraunt seemed clean, and service quick and friendly. In-store dining is on reusable service(plates/silverware), not disposable, so a plus on the green dining aspect. If takeout started using biodegradeable instead of styro I might be at a 5 star here for good food, since i would give +1 value +1 green. I’ll keep coming back for inexpensive lunches! this place is definitely a one $ joint!

My rating scale is as follows: I dish our stars for 1. Atmosphere 2. Service 3. Food and Drinks 4. Overall experience 5. Extra — WOW!- factor So after classes at UWB, a couple of my friends and I were looking for a new place to eat other than subway. We drove down Teriyaki Best because someone had mentioned that it was a good place to eat. We parked at the back and honestly it looked kind of shady(but admittedly most restaurants look shady at the back). I wasn’t feeling too hungry so I ordered just a plate of gyoza. I cannot comment on any other item on the menu — but the gyoza is just a ‘meh’. It tasted alright like the same deal I get at most teriyaki places. However, its definitely«gassy». Perhaps edging on TMI right now, but the next day, I did have some tummy gas issues.
Overall 2⁄5 — based solely on what I ate, there wasn’t anything too spectacular. Might go again to test and see other items on the menu.

This is my 1st time here and I had the lunch special B — orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki chicken part was okay, but the orange chicken was overly sweet. I didn’t finish all the orange chicken cause I felt like I am going to get diabetes from it. One Star off! I don’t know if it happens everyday or just today, there were many customers from the nearby construction work in lunch time. They were playing music on iPhones and the cashier of the restaurant didn’t stop them. Kinda annoying when they were already having loud conservation. Another Star off! I didn’t expect much customer service in such place like this, but at least the cashier should say thank you and smile to the customer when she is taking the order or receiving payment. One more Star off! I think their food is acceptable and the place is clean, but I would not recommend people to go there.

We love teriyaki and this place is just down the street from our new house — so I figured we would become regular customers fairly quickly. The first time we went, I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki to go. but when I got home, it was not spicy at all. Oh well — I dumped some sriracha on it and called it good. The next time I went, I was very specific in requesting that it be made VERY spicy, and the woman on the phone agreed. Instead, my «spicier» teriyaki was identical to the regular teriyaki my husband ordered. The woman at the counter even agreed that they tasted the same, but insisted one was the spicy sauce. I can handle a little ridiculousness, but I would expect a business that I patron to make it right by either 1) Telling us it couldn’t be done when we asked for spicy teriyaki in the first place 2) Adding spice to the entre we brought back instead of staring at us dumbly and saying nothing could be done or 3) Refunding us our money so we could go hunt down spicy teriyaki somewhere else. The teriyaki itself tastes. fine. But not special enough for me to be willing to deal with the bad business practices, poor customer service and false advertising. We’ll walk the extra two blocks to the next place.

I had just run for my life from zombies( ). I survived. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with Cajun fries. I devoured it. It was awesome. Go here and eat an awesome burger. Do it.

I ate here on a whim and ordered the chicken teriyaki/Katsu combo. They were both really good! Loved the chicken Katsu! Definitely the best I’ve had, I’m gonna have to try some of their other things.

Decided to stray from my local teriyaki place to give this one a whirl today. Reading the reviews here, obviously I had to try the katsu, but I also was jonesing for teriyaki proper, so I got the combo. First of all, the portions are pretty damn big here. They serve on comedic oversized plates when you dine in and between the salad, rice and entrée it took up most of it. The décor is old but the service was friendly and fast. How did it taste? The chicken katsu is indeed delicious, the best I’ve had in the area so far. I found the teriyaki a bit unbalanced on the salt, and slightly overcooked/dry, in comparison to my regular haunt. I was pleasantly surprised by the salad dressing, which wasn’t overly sweetened like most other places in Seattle. Overall, quite a solid place, with one really knock out dish. If I get the crave for teriyaki, I’d probably go elsewhere but if I want chicken katsu, I know where I’m going.

Okay so I read the reviews on chicken Katsu and thought it would be cool to try it out. But I must say growing up in Hawaii I’ve tasted better Chicken Katsu. With that aside, good price and good Katsu for Bothell. Although I must say when I ate it it was a little saggy but it was a 10 minute drive home. So I am convinced if I ate it there it would’ve been hot and crunchy. My wife had the teriyaki chicken and beef combo. She said it was pretty good. 4 stars? The rice was a little dry. Other than that solid place for teriyaki in Bothell!

This is one of the best places for chicken katsu(sorry, no white chicken meat, it’s all chicken thigh). I’ve had my fair share of katsu and teriyaki — this places takes the cake on both! The katsu is very crispy, thick cuts and pretty darn moist. The chicken teriyaki is not overloaded with salty or overly sweet teriyaki sauce, marinated well and, of course, moist as well. I’ve also eaten at katsu restaurants in Tokyo and Hawaii(owned by Japanese folks) and it was like eating the authentic katsu from the home land! Way to go Teriyaki Best! There is parking in the back, but I believe there are only a couple of parking spots. Street parking in front and across the street is available as well. The staff here is very nice as well and the restaurant is very clean. You must try this place, I suggest the either the katsu combo or the katsu/chicken teriyaki combo — YUM!

I definitely agree with EC’s review. I have also tried katsu at many, many teriyaki restaurants around the Seattle area and haven’t found one that comes close to Teriyaki Best’s. The sauce they use is unbeatable, and the chicken is so crispy and always cooked to perfection! What’s even better is that this restaurant is so reasonably priced. Some places charge almost $ 10 for their katsu that isn’t even very good, while this place you can get their lunch special for under $ 6!

If you’re a katsu lover like myself you NEED to try their chicken katsu. Trust me… I’ve tried the chicken katsu at all the teriyaki places in Seattle and Bellevue and none of their chicken katsu dishes compare. This place is super consistent and has a lunch menu with 3 choices: regular chicken teriyaki, chicken teriyaki/orange chicken combo, or chicken katsu with fried rice. I’ve mentioned this place to friends/coworkers and they all agree.
