Campsite surrounded by redwood trees was the venue of our Camp Everytown school event. Situated in the Santa Cruz mountains there are two ways to reach this destination. One is going to the winding road in Bear Creek Road and then there is the longer but less winding road if you go to Hwy 17. Whichever road you partake, you would be traveling a scenic route. The camp has 14 cabins that can accommodate about 10 people each. They have basketball and volleyball courts, a small playing field with bleachers, arts and crafts room, meeting room, a lodge, laundry, archery aea, a pool and a chapel. They also has a big kitchen adjacent to the lodge where most of the indoor activities are held. There is a pathway going to the dock with a glimpse of the San Lorenzo river. In addition to this, it holds a small animal farm with goats, pigs, chickens and a big furry rabbit. Camp Harmon prides itself that it’s facilities are accesible to persons with disability which is a double thumbs up to this gal.
