Have been going to Ashley Cardenas for the past 4 years, I followed her to 1313– she is amazing!
Listens to what I want and I NEVER go home disappointed! She is the color and blow-​out queen!!!

I’ve been going here for years and I love it. Amanda is great, she knows her stuff and is easy to talk to. It is a bit pricey, but its understandable given the great service you get. I used to go to cheap places like Great Clips and would come out crying because of my horrible haircuts.

Great salon — relaxing. The staff and stylists are attentive and knowledgeable. Love getting hair color there.

I drove from castle rock just to get a certain stylist. Called because I was going to be 10 minutes late (there was an unexpected accident). The receptionist said no problem. As I pulled up they told me they cancelled me and scheduled over, without calling to see where I am at. TERRIBLE customer service. While I am sure the quality of the hair cuts are amazing this experience will never bring me back.

I saw Krystal at 1313 A Salon. She is fantastic for hair coloring. I had gone to someone else and I never knew how it was going to turn out.
On a friend’s recommendation, I tried Krystal. The first time she colored my hair, it was darker than I expected. She told me to call if it wasn’t right. I did. In a cheerful mood, she changed the color and I was incredibly happy. I have since been back several times and received consistent color. Krystal is a great listener and really understands color.
I highly recommend her to all my friends and clients.

Not a great experience with Robin for a men’s haircut. I have thick/​wavy hair, and she seemed dazed and confused when I sat down. Didn’t seem to have much training. Would not recommend her for men.

Over priced hair cut by Mya Brown! Great salon overall I would suggest seeing another stylist like Amanda who takes the time to get the cut right and doesn’t push products on you.

This was my first time vising 1313 Salon. I went to 1313 to see Delanee to have my hair color updated for fall. I wanted to go darker, but I wasn’t exactly sure of what I wanted. Delanee took the time to discuss what I wanted and what she thought would work best with my current hair color and the highlights that I had gotten in the spring. She provided me with options and let me choose the colors that appealed to me.
I love my new hair color. The color is rich and natural looking. She used multiple colors to give my hair dimension and some personality.
I was really impressed with how well she knew her craft and her skill level. I will definitely be back to get my color done in the future. And, I’m looking forward to getting my hair cut and styled here as well.
Overall, my trip to 1313 was a great experience.

I am a handicapped senior, who first saw a certain stylist because she did an adequate job with a relative’s hair. I returned only because the cuts she did on me were okay. However, she continually raised controversial topics hoping I would respond with something with which she could argue. I remained silent throughout my visits. Finally, I had an appointment made well in advance. The stylist didn’t show up for work that day. I wasn’t notified before arrival. After waiting twenty minutes, I asked where she was. No one knew, but the receptionist tracked her down in another state. There was no explanation or apology to me by the stylist despite the obvious inconvenience to which I had been put. Neither I nor my relative will return.

My sister told me about this place a few years ago, and I have been going here ever since for haircuts. Although the haircuts are a bit expensive, they have always turned out exactly how I wanted them to be. I agree with all the other reviews that say Amanda is the best — I always ask for her because she’s the best!

I love this place! The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is awesome! I’ve been going to Caitlin for a year now and she is amazing! Great conversation and I’m always more than 100% satisfied with my hair! Since finding this place I can’t see myself going to anyone else!

I have been going to see Amanda at 1313 for almost 4 years now and have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and outgoing. I have gone from crazy platinum blonde to red, short curly to long straight and I always have received great compliments. She is very professional, follows up with clients to see how they are liking their hair, and always has new visions to bring to the table. You won’t be disappointed at all. Ask for Amanda!

I went to 1313 since my stylist, Molly, decided to open it. She took me through some drastic changes in my hair color (at her suggestion) and did an amazing job. To this day, people think the hair color I now sport is totally natural. In fact, they don’t believe me when i tell them otherwise. Molly stopped styling there a couple of years ago and I don’t think she’s returned yet but there are still many talented stylists there.

I was on crutches several months ago and was unable to stand long enough to wash my own hair.
I went in to see a stylist for a simple wash/​style (I won’t name names because I think stylist is good with other people but I was SOOOO disappointed). Stylist was running late and I waited patiently. Stylist started to wash my hair, and then admitted he didn’t know what to do with it. I am black and I have a TON of hair, but I thought a simple wash/​style should be no problem for Stylist with such a great reputation. I almost started to cry, but stylist proceeded.
Stylist constantly asked me questions about HOW to do my own hair. When stylist was finally finished my hair looked great, but it felt like straw. Even though I told stylist to put a lot of product in my hair, stylist didn’t listen.
To put the icing on the cake, the receptionist charged me $ 20 more than quoted because ‘it took so much longer.’ I was insulted and disappointed and will never return to the salon again.

I have been going to 1313 for more than a year now and have used two different stylists. Both were great. My first stylist, Vicki moved away but my current stylist, June has turned out to be even better — something I didn’t think possible.
The price is what I would expect for the quality cuts they provide and my hair always grows out to look great even in between cuts. One amenity that I really like is that they provide complimentary beverages — from water to wine — to enjoy as you get your hair styled. The staff is always friendly and they are always on time. I won’t even consider getting my hair cut anywhere else.

I went to 1313 when I was unable to see my normal stylist. Amanda H did a great job and really listened to what I wanted as it was our first cut together. She is friendly and professional and very easy to chat with. I liked the salon and got to enjoy a cold beer when I was there. I have to admit that was a surprise and a cool feature of the salon.(thus the five star rating) I would highly recommend Amanda to anyone and suggest you look her up if your in Boulder and in need of a cut.

If you live in Boulder, you will undoubtedly see 1313 on the pass-​by and say to yourself, «why all the 13’s? Isn’t 13 bad luck?» While I cannot answer such assertive and thoughtful questions, I can tell you that 1313 is the place for quick wax or for maintenance on those dreadful acrylics you wear. A little pricey, but you DO need to wax, ladies – your lip, brow… and whatever else you may… have. So bad luck it because its lucky if you choose the 1313 and it doesn’t choose you. Also two 13’s cancel each other.
