I made an online order here and only later found out that they were closed and their phone number is disconnected. I really wish that I wasn’t allowed to charge an order on my card and wait 2 hours before I found out they were closed. So in short I think this place is closed down for good

This is by far the best pizza I have ever had! Driving through town and this came up as a great pizza joint. So glad I stopped!

I love their muffaletta and their po’ boys. That hand-made bread is some serious stuff, it’s hard making bread with that great crisp outside and nice chewy inside, great really light sweetness in the bread as well. I love their pumpkin seed chicken salad, the crunch the seeds give are an excellent contrasting texture to the soft, moist chicken and the grapes add a really wonderful sweet element.

It was way overpriced for such a simple sandwich. What bothered me the most is that the gentlemen who made my sandwich felt it was ok to take his gloves off before he was done handling the food he was preparing for me. What was the point of wearing the gloves if you were gonna touch the food anyway?

The best cheese pizza in Boulder. Everything else(including the gumbo) is worth trying out.

Great hand made sandwiches from scratch. Easy deli vibe. Use only the best ingredients. The guy behind the counter knows his stuff when it comes to a Po’ Boy. Far from a traditional New Orleans Po Boy tho. I wasn’t expecting that but good for boulder. Easy and cheap quick lunch

This place is awesome! Their gumbo is amazing. Pizza is divine. And the people working are down to earth and kind. Highly recommend taking a trip here!

I drove past it each time I was on my way home telling myself«stop by and get a sandwich.» To and from work daily… Then finally I went there on a day off and man, I haven’t looked back. Amazing gumbo, sandwiches, muffulettas, pizza(gluten free available), salads; the entire menu is great… I’m a fan of the howlin’ wolf and the caprese salad… They rival my personal«best» sandwich in boulder, which is near impossible(if you’re ever curious ask me about my top 10). Adding in that they’re über nice and accommodating always puts the cherry on top for me. I order from there a couple times per week… It’s tiny and cozy, but they kill it. The bread has to be baked by an angel.

This place is so totally not what you’d expect from the outside. Which is to say, the first time I saw it, I completely judged a book by its cover and thought, «What is a college fast food joint doing up here on Broadway?» And to me, college fast food joint basically implies sub-par food. Then I read some Unilocal reviews and thought I’d give it a try. I’m truly glad I did. The muffuletta is AMAZING. I just went to New Orleans and found that Milo’s is better than Central Grocery’s(where the muffuletta was born). Their po-boys, too, are absolutely delicious. Their gumbo is solid. I wish they’d make jambalaya, but alas, it is not to be. I haven’t yet tried their pizza, but as a pizza snob(read: New Yorker), I’m a little nervous to do so. But for Cajun food? Yes, yes, yay, Milo’s!

hoping to find some good Cajun food in Boulder, Milo’s was not it. We had the order delivered and they mis-made the beans(added cheese which we didn’t want), forgot the salad, and the cookies were burnt. Also the gumbo tasted as though it was made only of oil and they gave us the wrong size. Lastly, the food was cold, though the driver was nice I would not recommend them. Especially at $ 40 for the meal.

I really enjoy gumbo and was excited when Milo’s opened up. I went here and tried the gumbo and I enjoyed it, but to me it was soupier than gumbo should be. If it had just been soup, I would have thought it was phenomenal, but it was not anything like gumbo I have made or tasted before. I used to live in the neighborhood behind Milo’s and might not have come back if I did not live right behind it. But I am glad that I did! Their pizza here is great. It would not be anything too special, except for something that no other reviewers have mentioned: they slather the crust of your pizza in pesto sauce. I am not even a fan of pesto sauce on pasta, but it is amazing on pizza crust.

Great greek pizza(especially the crust), excellent service/friendly owner and employees, reasonable prices. Sampled the gumbo and can’t wait to go back to try the po’boys. Free parking in the garage in the back!

Loved it! Went to test it– total flying colours! Had the Milo’s Special po’boy — yummy tons of great relish! Then the chicken basil pizza– awesome! BOTH my kids devoured it! The pizza is top ten for Boulder County– not bad! The sandwich? I’d say top three in Boulder, a place with GREAT sandwich shops. Only a couple places are even close. This is a clear rec. Get in here test it yourself! We ate in but its more of a take out place. But there’s cable.

Stopped in here for lunch, and I was surprised to find good gumbo here. I went in thinking I’d have pizza, but after tasting the gumbo I had a bowl of it, and it was the best I’ve had in a long time.(And I make gumbo and have been to Louisiana a lot). I went back the next day for a sandwich(muffelata) and that was also good. My friend had a pizza and it looked good too. They put pesto on the crust, which is a nice touch. Really friendly folks behind the counter, and there always seems to be baseball on the TV’s and good music playing. I’ll be back. It’s crowded inside for seating, but they have a picnic table outside so on sunny days that is nice.

Although it took them a while to get my pizza cooked(they refuse to sell by the slice so that your pizza is as fresh and delicious as can be) the pizza was amazing. The sauce on the pizza was easily the best I’ve ever had, and you could tell that every ingredient was fresh. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable about their product and for a place that had just opened they really seemed to have everything together. One downside is that it doesn’t have much seating(just a small row of tables) but is perfect if you’re taking your food to go. I’ll definitely be going back, I just need to remember to call ahead for those days when I don’t have as much time for lunch!

Sorry Milo’s. We really, *really* wanted to like you! We live in the neighborhood so we thought we’d break from the usual fare and support a new upstart as well. Milo’s is located in the old Subway location in the spot just South of Boulder Valley Credit Union. First off, everyone who works there is very friendly. Super nice people. That’s about all I have to say in the positive area… We each had a «Willie Dixon» from the signature sandwich menu. For $ 9.50 per sandwich, we expected FAR better! There was nothing here I couldn’t do at home for a third of the price. Generally, I feel that if I’m paying a premium at a restaurant, I should be getting something that exceeds what I can do as a home cook. The best part about the sandwich is the relish(which has a special name that I can’t remember, and I can’t find their website in a search engine, although the shop does have a website)… otherwise everything else was sub-par. Pros: — Very nice people. — The sweet relish is tasty. — The swiss cheese was pretty good, but then again — when you melt swiss, it’s pretty hard for it to taste bad. — The bread wasn’t bad. Cons: — Not enough relish. We didn’t even realize it was there until the last few bites. — The lettuce is shredded. For $ 9.50 you can’t spring for some whole leaves? Maybe a leaf of Romaine? — The shrimp is of poor quality. It wasn’t quite mini-salad shrimp, but it was not of any general quality either. When we took shrimp off the sandwich and ate it alone, it smelled and tasted«shrimpy» … not good for $ 9.50. — The pickles are basic run-of-the-mill sandwich pickles. — Again on the shrimp — they were just cooked — for a «signature» sandwich, I would think you’d season them or marinate them or something, but nope. Just shrimp. To summarize, this would be a pretty good $ 4 sandwich. But for $ 9.50 per sandwich — all we did while we ate was talk about what we could have had instead for $ 9.50 each. Sorry MIlo’s! We won’t be back. Best of luck to you.
