Came with my family. My kid received dry pasta with red sauce baked to it. Then the veggie plate she got with her pasta had cucumbers that were dried out with mold on one. The pizza was ok. The waitress was lack luster in her performance. I will not return.

We shouldn’t have done it. We know better. We really do. We avoid chain restaurants when at all possible, for obvious reasons. But we gave into Old Chicago, once. Unfortunately. We’ve walked by the place so many times, heard that it was the first and original location, and the outdoor seating area always seems packed, so we thought, after several years, that maybe we should try the place. Arg. Two glaring problems: the wait, and the food. Went at lunchtime on a Friday. The place was perhaps 25% full. After waiting about 10 minutes, we were able to order. Sweetie’s salad came quickly.(He had ordered the pizza and unlimited salad lunch combo.) Great. Off to a good start. The salad was fine. He ate it. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. Our meals didn’t arrive until 40 minutes after we ordered. No exaggeration. 40 full minutes, at lunchtime, in a 25% full place. Plenty of staff around. No personnel shortage. It was kind of excruciating. Sweetie had only meant to have one little salad, but he was hungry, so asked for a second one at the twenty minute mark. More waiting and waiting. At the 30 minute mark(40 minutes after we walked into the place), he ordered a third salad. I hadn’t eaten any of the first two, because they didn’t come with my meal, but this time I ate half of it, earning a snarky look from the server.(We’re starving here, buddy. I wouldn’t be eating the salad if I actually had my own meal.) Finally, 50 minutes after entering the place, 40 minutes after ordering, our meals arrived. Turns out, the salads had been the best part. Sweetie’s pizza was room temperature, the cheese congealed, the meat cold. About 60% of the sauce, cheese, and toppings were in the very center of the pizza. And this place supposedly specializes in pizza! He ate one slice, and didn’t touch the rest. And this is a guy who loves pizza. My burger was still warm. We figured the pizza had been made long before the burger, and had simply sat in the kitchen, waiting and waiting, just like us. The burger was fine, but nothing more than the standard kind of burger you find in a place like this. The fries were cold. About a half hour after leaving OC, we both got very queasy, and stayed like that for the rest of the day. Bad, bad experience all the way around.

If you want consistent good pizza, this is your place. We had the Pepperoni pizza on thin crust and it was packed with pepperoni, cheese and great sauce. This is a family style, college student, couples, singles kind of place. Staff is friendly and sincerely interested in making sure you have what you want.

I tried going here for food at night, but before I could order, the night manager accused my wife of being a transient for using the bathroom. I tried to explain that we both worked on Pearl Street and needed to use the restroom. He continued to ensure that he had a sign on the wall forbidding us and that we were in the wrong. My wife and I were going to buy drinks and continue our evening there, but the night manager made clear that we were not welcome there. Therefore we will not return to this establishment. I have lived and in Boulder for my entire life, and never have I or my wive been so mistreated. I vouch to never return to this establishment and neither should you. It’s funny, because I used to come here often, but I would never visit again. I wish I could give it zero stars, but 1 star is the minimum I could give. FYI, the service and food are lousy and both can be better experienced elsewhere.

So I stopped into Old Chicago this past week and had fantastic service, but sub-par food. I am not particularly a fan of Old Chicago, but I decided to stop in for a quick drink and app. My waitress, Charlotte was so informative about the drink and food menu; she knew it inside and out. I felt like I knew her! We chatted about several different things, since she is from NJ also, and it made my experience at Old Chicago feel like home! I will definitely be back after this great service.

I’ve always loved Old Chicago. The food is great fast and warm. I love their lunch special where you get an individual nine inch pizza with one topping or a cheese calzone and UNLIMITED salad. Garden or ceaser. When we got there I told our waitress that I couldn’t decide on which lemonade to get. That’s when she told me. Their lemonade thing broke. So she gave us free drinks and didn’t charge for the salads! I’ve always loved old Chicago for the low prices but this is low low. Our entire order was only $ 7.99! Her name was Charlotte. She was really nice to constantly checking in on us! Highly recommend to go alone or with friends!

Best pizza I’ve ever had. We live in Florida and this was by far the best! Lots of shopping here on Pearl street too!

Well, well, well. You thought you could just poison me and get away with it. HAH. Fools. After what could have been the most uncomfortable dinner in the world(think that episode of the Office with the dinner party at Jan and Michael’s house) and after being given the wrong salad, I returned home to the horrifying realization that I had been poisoned with Staphylococcal. Old Chicago will RUE the day they didn’t wash their salad greens.

I haven’t been here often, but every time I’ve been, it has been delightful. The pizza is really good, and there are $ 2 small appetizer plates on special in the evening. The waiter was very friendly to us, even giving us samples of various beers that were on tap. With a decent selection of beer, good reasonably priced food, and convenient location on Pearl Street, what’s not to love? Personally I think it’s good for Pearl Street to have a balance between high brow places and regular places, so this fits the bill. It’s too bad the Boulder Café is closed, but that’s an issue for another review. I personally recommend this place and I think you should go there, especially if you want some pizza after a night in Boulder.

So happy we stopped in for pizza and a beer. My guy and I were in Boulder for the day before heading to the airport. He recommended that we stop in here to watch the football game and have their delicious pizza. The place was packed, and after tasting their pizza I knew why. We had a booth by the bar and close to all TVs. Our server greeted us quickly even though the entire place was packed. We explained the menu to use, explained the beers to us and made sure we were always taken care of. We both ordered beers and throughout our lunch she would drop off little samples of different beers they had on tap. By the time we left, we had tried almost all of their beers on tap plus the beers we were drinking. This was a great touch so we could figure out what we liked and what we didn’t like. For food, we ordered the Sicilian pepperoni rolls as an appetizer. They were delicious. However, in the future I don’t think I need more pizza with pizza. And for our main course we shared the medium Chicago style Double Deckorini. It’s with hot sauce, so be careful if you don’t like spicy. I love spicy so we got half with hot sauce and half without. It was so much food that ended up taking half of the pizza and half of the appetizer with us to the airport and it became our dinner too. All in all, our service was amazing and the food was delicious. I wish we had one of these in the Cleveland area because we would frequent it often.

Went in for a late lunch with my gf. Food was«ok». I had wings which weren’t at all special. What really made the experience though was our server Adam. He was very attentive, made a good guest connection with us, and was very informative.

Food is great service is not. It seemed like our server disappeared the manager ended up finding my burger and brought it out but never saw the server again. Waited 30 min for a burger on s dead Tuesday night is a little ridiculous. But I did enjoy the burger.

Very disappointed in this Old C’s. They were VERY rude. We had a bigger group and needed to sit on the patio because we had a dog. When we went in, there was plenty of space but they told us that we’d have to wait 30 min because their kitchen was under staffed. We put our name down and were only second on the list. Over half an hour later we went to see how the table was going because they hadn’t texted/called us. They had obviously sat several other tables with big groups on the patio while we were patiently waiting.

Forget it! You have better choices!!! Candidly food was quite decent but the service was poor, to be polite. Had lunch with the family on a Sunday afternoon when there were more staff than patrons. The meal, consisting of two salads, a club sandwich, burger and two kids meals, took about 40 minutes to get. After 30 minutes we inquired as to the status of our meals. 10 minutes later the food was served cold. After complaining we were served hot food in about 5 minutes. Why did the original meal take 40 minutes and a replacement meal 5? The meal was comped but I would have greatly preferred getting what we ordered in a reasonable amount of time and hot! Why return when other establishments provide equally good tasting food, in equally decent environments, with wait staff and management attentive to the customers expectations?

Fish and chips were well prepared. Seriously those fries were cooked just right. My sister’s 8″ pizza was good minus the price. For $ 12, it should at least be 12″. Got seated right away. The only problem I had was our server John R. Took him quite a while to greet us, get our drink order, and check us out. Also, rarely checked up on us except for when our food came out, but we hardly got to taste our food to give our honest opinions. Didn’t even bother to ask me for another drink or refill our waters. Gave adequate tip but service sucked!

The service here is awful. Our waitress,(a tall and skinny blonde) was the WORST! She never offered me a refill, only my younger brother. Then we were done with our food for 10 minutes and she kept walking by, no service at all. I finally stacked my plates and bowls and what happened… she walked by us again! Come on, it doesn’t take a scientist to see that we are done eating. Oh, then as she brings us the bill, «would you like any refills?». Oh yes, now I would… just to wash down all of the food I have already eaten.

Old C’s at the end of the Pearl Street mall is an institution by now. I used to find refuge here from the trustafarians panhandling on the mall fifteen years ago, and it’s still every bit the breath of fresh air in a beautiful, eclectic, but wildly pretentious town. The pizza is solid and made with good ingredients(perhaps not the best, but very good nonetheless), the appetizers are good but not life-changing. It’s THEBAR that is fantastic, and it is fantastic because of the people that run it and tend bar in it. They always have a great selection of craft ales from across this beautiful state, the conversation is lively and wide-ranging, the clientele are varied and very pleasant, and it’s just a great place to while away the hours while pointedly NOT shopping for synthetic Alpaca fur hammocks or faux neo-native fetish art.
