The owner is so cool! The meat, cheese and bread are incredibly fresh! Love this place! Wish we had one in golden! So glad we stopped!

Went into this place at 11:05 today. Ordered 2 sandwiches around 11:10. Got the first sandwich 15 minutes later and then proceeded to wait 35 more minutes for the second one, which they messed up completely. I politely asked for a free sandwich voucher or something to make up for the horrible experience. Nope. I walked out at 12 with one cold sandwich and one hot one… And I’m never going back again.

A bit pricey but the quality was very good. I had the steak sandwich. I would have given 5 stars but I’m a stickler and saw the staff putting veggies on their sandwiches without gloves. Really grossed me out but I’m a germaphobe

Some of the best sandwiches in Boulder. I love the bread. They have the best macaroni and potatoe salad ever. And the owner is so cool. I’ve been coming here for almost 9 years already. I always bring family and friends when they’re in town.

I feel like everyone that works here has the flu … Idk if I’m complaining or what I’m even trying to say… because I continue to go here like once a month so obviously I like it.

I have to admit that they have one or two sandwiches that are pretty damn good, hence the 2 stars, most of the sandwiches are not very good. The place is usually pretty dirty and amazingly pretty busy, I guess that’s the trendy thing… I will say this, the service is dreadful! These KIDS have their heads so far up their asses that it’s no surprise they can’t see. I have had countless horrible experiences with these idiotic counter people and will be having no more. I can’t believe this place makes money.

One of the best delis in Boulder. You can get a regular sub or a smaller roll size, which I like quite a bit. I find the staff to be quick and make sure that you get the right toppings on your sandwich. The cracked pepper turkey sandwich is one of my favorites.

I come here at least twice a month mainly because of the tasty sandwhiches! The cracked pepper turkey is a go-to on any day but the real gem here is the mortadella. The mortadella on a roll is delicious but very rich so limit it to once every four or five times you go there! The bread is some of the best bread in town for a sandwich… never had a sub there… only on a roll… the subs are huge so if you get one make sure you are hungry! The only reason i give this place a 4 instead of 5 stars is the price, a bit pricey especially for only a sandwich. If you get a sandwich and chips and a drink it will be over 10 bucks. At the end of the day… it is still worth it, so if i could i would have given this place 4.5 stars! Enjoy!

Outrageously high prices for mediocre sandwiches. The contents of the sandwich are normally okay but the bread is low quality, which ruins the sandwich. Diced tomatoes don’t belong on a sandwich. They should be sliced. The staff is unprofessional and the dining area is dirty.

I’ve come here a couple of times and here is my take: If you want an overpriced mediocre sandwich with a side of shitty attitudes from a bunch of assholes, this place is right up your alley. Wish this place closed down instead of the Olive Garden.

Went in to an empty deli around 10am Tuesday and I order the steak, egg, and hash brown breakfast sandwich. $ 10 for a baby kong like sandwich for those who eat at the deli zone. Not very happy and not satisfied. I agree with the older review when I walked in the employee looked ike when I came in. Not a pleasant welcome and very poor conduct. Not impressed with the sandwich I thought the cheese was missing.

Great spot for a quick, fresh sandwich made to order. Meat sliced to order, grilled up and made-up just for you. Good, consistent and quick.

This place is not good at all. The meat is horrible, ingredients are old, bread reminds me of Subway and all of this at a high premium they charge to stay afloat. I went here with a good friend and we each ordered different things. My sandwich was pretty much 90% mediocre turkey and 10% sponge bread, although I ordered it with onions, peppers, lettuce, mustard, mayo, pepper, etc. The guy who makes the sandwiches is rude. He doesn’t seem to like his job very much so it seems like he let’s it out on the sandwiches and customers. Not sure what my friend I was with ordered but it was the same story where it was just a big flavorless«meatwich» all at a ridiculous price.

So I work near the kiosk on pearl st and have been loving the bread and sandwiches. The staff not so much, the owner/manager is one of the most ridiculous people I’ve ever met. One day he literally started talking to me about«pink cocaine from the 80’s» I’ve seen him throw a customers sandwich in the trash because he answered a cell phone call. Hi, it’s 2014, people have cell phones. After said sandwich was trashed he ignored him. I was amused but dumbfounded at his actions. My biggest complaint is their prices, 10 dollars for a mediocre 12″ Italian sub? Wow. Your best bet is the hot steak sandwich(#9−1 – 2−3) I have admit they are the best steak sandwich in boulder. They have«new management as of 8⁄14 so you can be satisfied in knowing the creepy lil oppressive guy is gone. Went there 8÷27÷14 and new manager was helpful and my #2 was delicious. If you’re on the pearl st mall and want a good hot steak sandwich stop here. They’ve updated their staff and management.

hmm,. first time diner at Salvaggio’s on 26th. Two sandwiches and two beverages for $ 20. The sandwiches were tasty and mine was delivered with only items requested. Because it was my first time there, i asked one of the guys behind the counter for a recommendation but he didn’t know what cuz«I’m vegetarian». Another server quickly stepped up and offered a sample of one of their meats which was delicious. The place is very dive-y looking and wouldn’t trust the appearance of restroom to wash up for dinner.

This is a breakdown of this AM at Salvaggios on Pearl Us: Hi we placed an order for pickup Salvag worker: Umm ok? Us: We had sausage egg and cheeses. Salvag: Well we only have one sausage egg and cheese. Us: Well we ordered two… What does the one that you have have on it? Salvag: I don’t know. Are they together or separate? Us: Together (Charges us for one, ignoring the fact we just said together, we walk away assuming we now should go wait on the mystery sausage egg and cheese) Salvag: Uh are you going to pay for your other sandwich? Us: We told you they were together, did you only charge us for one? Salvag(now in an even more rude tone): So what you think you can get two sandwiches for 6 dollars? Us: No, we just thought you heard us. Is the other sandwich going to be made soon(it had been 15 minutes)? Salvag: Yes we already told you it would(no they didn’t). The food is ok. I am writing this review because I am disgusted with their service and the way they treat their customers. It’s supposed to be boston themed– I am from boston and they certainly are bigger jerks than Massholes. My roommate and I have been there twice in the past week and both occasions made me cringe. Never going back to this crap hole. Also there are consistently flies buzzing around your food and their meat.

Sick of You Salvaggio’s I work on Pearl Street about two blocks from the Salvaggio’s sandwich kiosk. It’s always been a funny spot: the service is poor, the food product is ok, the prices are probably a little too expensive, the cleanliness is somewhat questionable, and there’s usually some minor drama going on there. It’s really hard to blame the staff, they’re all college kids and I’ve been in enough times to gather that the manager /owner figure is oppressive and difficult to work for, just ask them. The restaurant runs poorly because it’s poorly laid-out and no-one is trained on any process; in fact it would appear to me that there is no process of any kind. Management FAIL. It pisses me off that there’s a sign above the register stating that the staff doesn’t necessarily get any of the tips they’ve earned and that any additional money collected belongs to the establishment. Why does the service suck? Could it be because the incentive has been removed? Management FAIL. And it rubs me the wrong way that they don’t offer a local’s discount or a loyalty program of any kind. Why would you want your best customers to come back? Management FAIL. Still, I’ve been a quasi-regular for a while out of convenience. But today when ordering my regular sandwich, apparently the owner /manager heard my order and instructed the cashier to charge me $ 3 more than I’ve ever been charged before, then disappeared into the basement office.(I ordered extra meat on the sandwich, which is normally $ 3, but today it was $ 6.) When I got to the register, I argued with the cashier about the price she told me she was instructed to do it. An assistant manager girl observed the dispute and offered no support to the cashier or help to make me happy. I told them I wouldn’t return and no one tried to make it right. The cashier was upset left in a huff to the same office into which the owner had previously disappeared. Neither one presented themselves again. Management Über — FAIL. Game over Salvaggio’s. I’m out, and I think everyone else should be too.
God, give me grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed(Salvaggio’s), Courage to change the things which should be changed(it’s rating on Unilocal), and the Wisdom to never return again. I wish I could get the Food Network to do a Restaurant Impossible episode on this place. I’d pay money to watch Robert Irvine break-down this weak, ridiculous manager /owner, he’s probably the type that would start crying about his ineffectiveness. And after the transformation I might even get my sandwich shack back. :)

Came here for first time on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Deli is perfect description but doesn’t do the sandwich you are about to enjoy justice. We ordered a prime rib roll and Italian roll and went with the standard dressing. Also got some potato salad. All was delicious, meat was fresh and bread was amazing. You definitely won’t be short on flavor. For a deli this takes the cake 4 stars for flavor, come here on lunch and you won’t be disappointed. Wish I could have tried breakfast their choices looked great only serve till 11am and 3pm on Sundays.
