This tiny Boulder hangout is a place I might of stopped by when I went to college, however, on this day, we were here for a private party and they did a great job. As for the atmosphere? In a nutshell… It’s a dump! It stinks, it’s dark, dingy, dirty, as a college bar should be! The music playing came from an old timey jukebox. The food was good(pizza and wings) and they always brought out the food quickly so there was never any food lacking. Service was friendly and cheerful. We had a great bartender that was so grateful we gave him tips-so even at a private party you should still be courteous and tip. Overall, I’m sure this place has created some wild memories for a lot of students.

Now that I am ending college I must review this place. I have gone here at least once a week for the past few years. The bartenders and staff have become friends and their drink making skills are primetime. Dolla bills on the walls better stay up for ever. Fun little atmosphere and the outside patio is the bomb in the summer, live tunes play out there sometimes which is fun. Goose for life. Cha Cha Cha changes… time to face the strain. cha cha changes… It has recently been bought by the guy who owns Quixotes and Sanchos in Denver and he is trying to turn it into a Grateful Dead bar. I love the Grateful Dead and such music and I enjoy the new posters hanging everywhere. However, the new owner hasn’t figured it all out just yet. He seems to spend money on bands on non-busy weekdays rather than figuring out the food situation. The Goose has always been linked up with Fatty J’s, who serves pizza and wings, so at least wing night is still going strong. But get yo shit together and get some ingredients so you can make a type of pizza other than cheese and I don’t know, maybe be able to make the burgers or sandwiches or salads still on the menu but you haven’t been able to make for months. There isn’t a door on one of the bathroom stalls in the girls bathroom. Some people may complain but I think this is funny and who doesn’t enjoy a freedom pee here or there, but still, theres that. I love the jukebox idea, the people choose their own music. However I feel bad for my homies who work there because although I enjoy the music choices I feel their pain for hearing the same songs all day every day. Even I don’t want to hear Scarlet Begonias 5 times a day for a week straight. Thats my take on that. 4 stars because of all its greatness and memories, the 5th star is for the newness that needs to get it all figured out. This is a college bar so let it be a college bar all you angry reviewers go down to pearl street if you want nobody to see your vagina while you pee and of course it is hard to get a beer when there are 20+ people waiting. peace out

Absolutely terrible bar, the bouncers are not only disrespectful but also pompous, rude and overall off putting. I observed the tall African American bouncer who«balled over seas» ignore his position as a doorman to talk to women for over 30 minuets, he also carried a lit blunt in hand in a public bar… I then went to complain about the bouncer to the manager of the bar and was met with anger and another speech about how I shouldn’t complain… Keep in mind that this bar is run by drunk college students. Avoid this bar at all costs if you any sense of decency, and logic.

Had a great time, great food and great service. We had a Dijon pizza and chicken tenders… both were absolutely perfect and even the little one enjoyed herself. Bartender was on top of his game and very courteous.

5 stars for Babe night and the bouncers. There’s also a nice beer bar outside so you don’t have to wait in line inside. Everyone who works there is super chill. As for all the bad reviewers, what do you expect? It’s a college bar on the hill why don’t you go to pearl and quit complaining about how«long the line is» and how«the drinks are too expensive». This bar is for regulars on the hill if you’re stupid enough to show up at midnight and then complain about not being able to get in you’re better off getting a 6 pack of O’Douls and sitting at home.

Terrible service and outrageous prices. We showed up well before the end of happy hour but stood AT the bar, not in line for at least 15 minutes before being served. 1 small pitcher and 1 shot for $ 30 is outrageous. Not only that but the service was the most rude I have ever had anywhere. With a combined customer service experience of 30 years, we have seen bad service but this was downright terrible. We didn’t receive a receipt, pretty sure the bartender pocketed our tab. The young girl next to us had the same service, her receipt said Zach was the server. Lame that people will put up with his terrible attitude and slow service. Go anywhere else in Boulder at any time and get better service and prices.

I’m really disappointed with the goose. I went out with a couple friends and waited in line for what seemed like forever to get inside. When I got to the front, the bouncer looked at my ID and proceeded to tell me I couldn’t come in because I was too intoxicated. I laughed because this was our first stop of the night and I hadn’t had a single drink. I went to walk in and he stopped me, and I realized he wasn’t kidding. I was absolutely furious. He turned away another girl I was with for his same«reasoning». This was my last night in Boulder for a long time and I was so pissed about this it ruined my night.

Best bar in town! Hands down. I have to admit I use to walk buy this place all the time with no urge at all to venture in. But the place has made a complete 180 with the new management. Stiff drinks Great deals and Happy Hour Live Music A great NEW mural! Great food at a reasonable price(you have to try the money sauce on the wings or chicken strips! Its amazing)

The Greasey Goose! What can I say about this place that hasn’t been said about rancid milk? Oh and not having a stall door in the bathroom is a great touch. 2 words to describe this place: bromantic and sleezy.

Went there on Saturday night and lost my wallet, which included my keys, driver’s license, credit card, school ID, bus pass and cash. When I went back after realizing it was gone(probably 15 minutes later), the server recognized me and handed it to me. The contents were untouched. What a nice ass guy, seriously. Thanks dude, you da best :)

Yes, this place is best when it’s hoppin’ and on a sunny afternoon the patio is the target place. Right on Broadway so your friends won’t miss you when they walk by! Good fast bar service. Friendly staff that seem to know everybody.

The Goose is best when it’s warm enough to drink outside on the patio, but in colder months the bar is still worth going to for their $ 2 Bud/Bud Light/Jim Beam all day every day. I’ve never tried the food here because there are so many other late night food options on the hill, but the service has been good every time I’ve been there.
