We are from the east and so generally avoid Italian places here because of the great Italian food we get at home. But on a Saturday night in August we decided to avoid downtown and we tried Ferraro’s. It was a pleasant surprise. We were seated in a lovely enclosed courtyard outside. The wine list is extensive and all Italian. The waitress helped us choose and we were both happy with our choices. Bread was disappointing but at least there was olive oil for dipping. Salad is served family style and had a great balsamic house dressing, nice and light and not soggy. So good we had seconds. My husband ordered something not on the menu, chicken piccata, and they were happy to accommodate. I had another chicken dish. Both were very good and served with lots of veggies. Side dish of pasta is also served family style so we both had to want the same thing. We choose the garlic butter topping. As other reviewers have said the pasta is homemade and delicious. They would have brought seconds but we were too full. Overall a very good meal. Served professionally by nice people. Service was exceptionally good. A great alternative if you want to dine outside the downtown area. We will go back.

If you like flavorless dry meat and pasta dripping with oil and butter for an insane price then you will love this place. I’m not trying to be mean but honestly your money is better spent at the Olive Garden and that’s sad. Just go downtown instead.

The problems of the past are over. The service was excellent the food was wonderful and prices were very reasonable. Hannah and her team provided as much attention as we could ever want and this was on the patio. This is a really good restaurant!

If I could I would make this a «10». Sarah 1 is the bomb and goes way beyond the call of duty for service. Sarah 2 represents the«Sarah» name as knocks it out of the ballpark too. Steak night is what I look forward to every Thursday. Hope…PLEASEPAYTHESELADIESMORE!

So tasty. Wonderful pasta made fresh every day. People who don’t like Ferraros were looking for dominos pizza or maybe some Olive Garden pasta. It’s good but only if you know what good food tastes like

One the best home town places in town. Mike, Ralph and the crew care deeply about your time at Ferraro’s and always go out of their way to say hello

I now understand why they only have 2 stars! What I don’t understand is why someone was being so generous. We walked in and the host asked us, «do we have a reservation?»(The response I wanted to give was of course, «I don’t know did you make it», somehow he was part of my party now). Of course we didn’t have a reservation. He walked us down toward the bathrooms, found the closest table and set our menus down. On our way there, we passed at least 4 available tables. They may have been for the patrons that«made reservations». I requested to not have that table. Our host said fine pick anyone you want that’s clean, duh! We selected a table and sat down. We immediately got our water. However, we sat around for at least 10⁄15 minutes before anyone even looked our way. We finally decided that this«white table cloth» restaurant was not for us, still nobody has even said hello to us. It appears that the«white table cloth was mistaken for a bed sheet, because everyone was«sleeping». We never got any service, so we got up and left after 15 minutes. It’s not like there were no servers around. They were busy cleaning and resetting tables, but too«busy» to take an order. What a shame for such a nice looking restaurant to lack in service. It’s a too bad that the art of service is gone.

I am always surprised to see cars in their parking lot. ALWAYS. We were invited here for a party and the apps were ok, I’d give 3 stars for the party food. Then, we made the mistake of ordering food to go and that was a disaster. Everything was one cold, hunk of under seasoned mess. Italians use more herbs than parsley! This place needs an infusion of flavor and light STAT. If you like fake Italian e.g. Olive Garden, you might like the food here.

I’ve reviewed this restaurant before but wanted to update my review due to my last experience at Ferraros a couple of weeks ago. We went on steak night and they do the steaks in the wood fired pizza oven. I ordered the filet with Gorgonzola sauce poured over it. My steak was truly the best steak I have ever had. It was perfectly cooked with a buttery slightly carmelized and toasted exterior, with the interior so juicy and was so tender I could use my butter knife to cut. The side pasta which is made by scratch in house, was cooked perfect al dente. It had so much flavor and texture I could have eaten it without sauce(but their pink Floyd sauce is incredible). These noodles aren’t even in the same league as the mass produced reheated mush noodles that you get at Olive Garden or Carino’s. I’m truly surprised by the low scores of others, and think they must be so used to Americanized fast food(microwaved) chain restaurants they don’t know what handmade quality tastes like. And lastly Sarah the manager has a great knowledge of Italian wines and recently traveled to Italy to visit some of the wineries that they serve. This is truly a treat speaking to a fellow wine enthusiast that knows her stuff vs. some college student with a list of house reds that are served in the wrong glass and far to warm, like I’ve experienced at numerous other restaurants boasting good wines. I’ve taken all of my friends, family and employees and we’ve never had a bad experience or bad food. Thanks Ferraros!

I hate to beat ‘em up some more, but seriously don’t waste your money here. We were holding on to a gift certificate that was approaching three years old. We have been here three other times over the course of fifteen years, and nothing had really changed over that time span. The food is overpriced and nothing special. The salad dressing was waaayyyy too bitter(like it was almost purely basalmic vinegar), our crab cakes had shells in them and the dipping sauce that accompanied the crab cakes had a really bitter aftertaste. The lobster in the ravioli was ORANGE and tasted(what I assumed) like chum. It came swimming in a butter sauce that was tasteless just plain gross. My husband had the steak special and he was pleased with his sirloin. I had chicken ravioli, the sauce was okay but the chicken was dry and tasteless. The wait staff was friendly but way very over zealous when it came to clearing dishes off the table. I was physically mopping up some olive oil with my bread on a plate when a waitress(not our own) passing by asked if she could remove it the plate. Chr*st, can I at least finish what I’m eating first? It was like that with every course of the meal. I felt rushed, yet it took over 30 minutes to get our entrees. I can understand if it was busy, but there were only 4 other tables in the dining area that were occupied. Even with a $ 75 gift certificate, we still had to pay another $ 27 out of pocket for(2) glasses of wine, crab cake appetizer, and three entrees. I’m not sure if it was worth the $ 27.

Like every other review for Ferraro’s the food was ok at best. I was hoping for a pizza from the wood oven and because a party of 20 was coming in they wouldn’t make me one. Then I asked about the steak? Sorry the we like to make those in the wood oven. So I asked if they had pasta? Yes we can get that for you.

I live in New York now and Ferraros is still the BEST Italian food I’ve EVER had. I am surrounded by Italian food now and I still think ferraros is the best. They make their own pasta and you can absolutely taste it. I had to double take when I saw the reviews on here. This place is great, a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. If you want cheap Italian make pasta at home if you want great Italian, come here.

This used to be my favorite restraint!!! Not sure what they changed but it is just awful now!!! Lobster was rubbery and over cooked, the steak was overcooked. WAY to pricy for burnt food!

The food is pedestrian, at BEST. I am positive everything that was put in front of me came from a Sysco truck. On the plus side, the service was excellent.

Not impressed. Overpriced, up charges for about everything(no free soda refills, $ 6 charge to split entrée on 2 plates), only one brand of soda(and it’s not the good one), limited leg room in the booth(main dining room) and the service was a average. My pizza was filling and very tasty. The sausage was spicier than expected. The crust tasted very good and was cooked perfectly. My wife had shrimp Spumante with linguini and thought it was excellent. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. Her cannoli was her first one ever so she said it was ‘good’. Not going again. Don’t recommend it for others unless you adore a huge wine selection and are planning on filling up on mostly wine. The food was not what it should be for the price.

First time around we found mediocre food at great food prices. We gave them another chance during half-price appetizer night. The lobster ravioli is maybe worth the price that night but the antipasto platter was decent. Overall, I’d prefer to cook Italian at home.

Terrible food! The bread was stale, salad filled with grit, and manicotti was a joke. Everything was overpriced. Honestly, I don’t know how they are still in business. The girl pouring waters did a fantastic job.

Been here once and I was not impressed with the food. I think Carinos is better. Spendy for the lack of good food. Avoid if possible.
