I love this place. It has delicious food and great staff. Some of the waitresses could use some more practice, but the bar tenders are great.

Best bartender we’ve had made a great«ladies night» drink, Bourbon Julius. Artichoke dip was AMAZING!

Yummy! Love going here for date night with my husband. Great food and a crazy selection of whiskey and other drinks which my husband loves! The food on the regular menu is always really good. The only down side to this place is when they are doing their specials,($ 10 burger and beer special for example), the same quality is not there! The burger was rather bland and not as good as I know they can do.

Very nice bar in Downtown Bozeman. I haven’t sampled their food, but the drinks are good, the service was quick, and the ambience is nice. Top shelf liquor is most definitely available here, so if you want to drop some coin on high quality booze, this is your place. The bar is located under Sweet Chili Asian Bistro. It’s got plenty of bar space, tables, and a private room.

Sat at the bar on a relatively busy evening but the service was still excellent. Had some tasty fries and a few beers from the solid selection. Also, there’s a huge list of whiskeys from all over Montana(and the world). If you’re feeling an experimental nightcap, this is the place.

Great bar selection and consistently good food! Try the Steak Frites and sub out the fries for Mac and Cheese — you’re welcome!

I’ll start by saying I love a good whiskey bar but sadly this is not one. It has many of the qualities of one but just falls short. Having lived in New York which is known for crazy pricing I can confirm the pricing here can easily be described as manic. The selection was good; I’d even say great but with the service and pricing who cares. I collect whiskey so someone explaining basic economics and whiskey pricing was simply condescending. All I could think was«I told you I own it so I know how hard it is to get and how much it costs.» That said one of the three server we had was great and my friend really liked the happy hour margaritas but the food we had was good but not great. My friend was disappointed and annoyed at me because we hadn’t eaten elsewhere. I walked away thinking that was ok but could have been amazing.

Was on a date with my lovely wife to see the great Chuck Ragan, I wanted to have dinner before the concert so I looked on Unilocal for somewhere nice not too far from the venue and found the copper whiskey! Made a reservation 2 days prior to be safe and glad I did, what an awesome restaurant tucked in the basement of an old building. It was busy but not crowded staff was friendly and knowledgeable of menu and drinks, the décor was upscale but the atmosphere was casual and relaxed, the food… Well it was fantastic I had the smoked brisket sandwich and my wife the shrimp and grits. At the end of the day the copper whiskey was exactly what I was hoping for!

Walked in on a Friday night to an hour wait. Say at the bar for a bit and enjoyed a delicious whiskey cocktail and some to die for gourmet deviled eggs. Was seated in only 30 minutes and enjoyed every morsel!

My mom and I enjoyed an almost perfect meal at Copper Whiskey Bar & Grill last night! First of all, what a great setting, down in the basement of a beautiful, historic building right on Main Street in Bozeman. It almost feels like you are down in a mine. Our wait was fairly short, and our server was wonderful. Also, we had asked for a quieter spot, as my mom is hard of hearing and it was LOUD in there. The host stand definitely did the best that they could with that request! We ordered a starter of Avocado Caprese, which should have been delicious, but the balsamic dressing/sauce was VERY bitter, in a very bad way. We even sprinkled sugar on it to try to sweeten it up a bit, but that was a total fail. Luckily our server was attentive and asked how it was after we each had 3 bites, and she immediately took it away and brought us a substitute, which was the wedge salad — and it was wonderful! My entrée was the bison burger, and it was flavorful, juicy, and perfectly prepared. I really liked the hand-cut fries. My mom ordered shrimp & grits, and it was a huge portion and she loved it. My iced tea glass was never empty, and never without ice — and that is important to me! It was a great meal overall, and we were really happy that they quickly and happily swapped out that one bad starter. We will be back!

Kind of a weird experience. First, this place is really cool. My meal was reeeealy good: the Copper Burger. One of the best buns, meats, and cheeses I’ve had. Fries were good too. I love sugar, and get Crème Brûlée anytime it’s on a menu. He crème part was one of the better I’ve had(including 5 star restaurants)…the crust was completely burnt in the middle 50% and inedible. My wife commented on it as it was delivered and I arrogantly said«it’s burnt sugar, it’ll be awesome»…but it was so much and so burnt that I had to pick it off. First time ever. Never should have left the kitchen like that. BThe bearded man that seated us was really nice and hustled bussing and helping out. Our server, Allie, was not very social and when I asked for a second to decide on the menu she ended up gabbing at the front counter and then was asked to bus a table. Just a weird service experience. I might go again for the food, but I’ll make sure to have a different server.

Great place to eat. The Copper burger, which has bacon ground into the beef, was incredible. The garlic fries were a nice sod dish for the burger and one of the best Moscow mules I have ever tasted.

This is my favorite restaurant in all of bozeman. It is sort of hidden downtown, but nothing you couldn’t find if you knew what you were looking for. Their menu is super unique and the atmosphere is very romantic and private. They use copper moscow mule cups with most of their drinks which just adds to the touch. They have certain nights that they do specials and even«ladies nights» and all sorts of cool things. One of my friends was recommended this place by someone saying that they had amazing wings. I don’t even eat meat and I thought they had amazing everything. I had some sort of seasonal salad type thing but also was able to get some drinks for good pricing and then have an appetizer or two. There was a lot of food between the 5 of us so I got to see what a number of the dishes looked like and there wasn’t one person who wasn’ satisfied with what they ended up getting. Copper Whiskey over delivers. 5+ stars!

I love this bar, love the food, love the atmosphere. But, last night, I had the worst service. Our server rolled her eyes, gave attitude when we had as question on the menu, and yelled at the wonderful host, right next to our table. I was shocked, angered, and embarrassed that I had talked so highly of this establishment to my guests, only to have them receive that slap in the face. I love the prime rib, but sadly will NOT be going back. The poor host, did more for our table than our server. Real shame.

Mediocre, tepid food in a noisy basement. Steak Frites — tough, undercooked animal parts on a bed of broken bits of fries. Not good for a basic dish. And, it’s in a basement.

Because people referred to this spot as an underground whiskey bar, I expected a speakeasy vibe. But it’s more like a basement-level restaurant. Families fill the restaurant side with good vibes and laughter. The bar side is very chill. Not much of a lounge as it is a restaurant bar. Music is kind of a buzz kill lol(think Simon & Garfunkel). While it was not what I expected, Copper was a really nice place. Dimly lit restaurant with excellent food and liquor options — all very reasonably priced! The bourbon and whiskey selection is extensive. I wish they had more craft cocktails, but you can never go wrong with bourbon anyway. :) Go for dinner or drinks. But don’t go expecting a bar scene.

Fried pickles? Yes please! We went here on a Thursday which happened to be ladies night which means ladies night specials! $ 6 drinks and inexperienced appetizers. I went with their champagne special which was bubbles, grapefruit juice and vodka. For snacks, we ordered fried pickles and a wedge Cobb salad. The fried pickles were coated in doughy goodness and paired well with the blue cheese like dip. So good! The wedge had olives, crumbled blue cheese, crumbled egg, tomatoes and a blue cheese dressing. Very tasty and a huge portion. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a good place to hangout and have a drink. It carries few local brews and the customer service is excellent. The food is of average quality and taste. The burger ordered was served on a white bun and bland, the onion rings lacked flavor.
