Good burgers, pretty bad service. The hostess decided to ignore my date and I as we stood directly in front of her. Probably will not go back.

Lunch yesterday was great! Took friends there tonight and had below average service and obvious lack of attention by staff. Place seems overstaffed and under managed. Beer served in badly broken glass. Condiments missing from dinners. Staff hanging around waiting for bar patrons. Completely different place at night and for the WORSE!

We have been there 3 times to give a balanced review. EACH time the plates for the apps. came out FILTHY. Took them back on the second visit and the replacements came out dirty. On this last try the same thing happened!!! Calling channel 10 for the DIRTYDINING show and restaurant REDALERT!!! The so called manager came over the last 2 times(She did not look like a manager, just a regular employee) and looked at the plates like we had put the food on the them!!! STAYAWAY!!!

I go here once a week for a Chamber of Commerce function. I would say food is pretty standard fare for a sports bar. They have a nice meeting room in the back where we have our own server who is fantastic. In the main dining room it is sport bar style. They have a lot of booths and many tv’s. It’s a very large place. Food ranges from burgers and chicken to salmon and seafood pasta. The food is pretty average. I’ve never had bad food here but if you’re looking for high cuisine this is not your place. I would say this place wins on price and service. The food is priced very fairly and the staff is usually very friendly and accommodating.

Why 2 stars? Because it was a poor experience all-around. — — — Similar to the debut of my Cleveland Browns, Barnacles was a major disappointment. I went here because it was the near Brandon Browns Backers bar of 2012, but I don’t think I’ll be back. Why? For one thing, how can you call yourself a sports bar but not have HDTV? Sure, they have a ton of TV’s, but they are the kind of TV’s and projectors you would find at an old pawn shop. Who has 19″ box TV’s anymore? Apparently Barnacles does, and they seem to be proud of it. Call me a snob, but if you market yourself as a sports bar, but you don’t have HD in your building… it’s not good news. Seriously, my grandma has an HDTV. I had the wings… and they were just not good at all. They were barely luke warm, and definitely not one bit«juicy.» My loaded cheese fries were ok, but nothing special. The service… yes it was opening week for the NFL, but I still think it could have been a bit more organized. I would see my server so sporadically, that I had to make sure and grab the check in the 3rd quarter of the game, because I didn’t want to run the risk of getting stuck there for a week after it was over. And that felt like a real possibility.

Recently went there on a date to watch a few out of town games. Nice size place, endless amount of TVs so wherever you sit, your sure to be able to watch the game of your choice. We ordered 28oz Sirloin that came with your choice of 2 sides, my choice was vegetables and potato au-gratin. The steak was a decent steak, veggies were your run of the mill frozen type and the potato au gratin which was basically ½ of a baked potato chopped up in about 10 bite sized cubes layered with butter, sour cream and cheese. It was good, nothing exceptional but decent for a «sports bar». If your looking grab a bite and a beer, watch some sports in a comfortable atmosphere this place would fit the bill in the Tampa area.

They have really narrowed down the food selection which is disappointing. Miss the shrimp philly. Food is not as good as it used to be. Enjoy watching games here and been coming in or years.

This is a pretty-standard cavernous sports bar… lots of TV screens, noise, beer, shooters, & bar food served to drinkers who get drunker as the day slides into night and the core clientele linger on. Some dishes such as steaks are not bad, but due to the nature of the place, far more wings, burgers and fries… so more deep-fried than grilled dishes get served. Amazed at how such places attract a seemingly regular crowd to watch sports on TV… have they all had their remote batteries fail and no one knows how to replace them?

Not to impressed with food and drinks. The oysters were very small and dirty(gritty) tasting, chicken quesadilla’s were so soggy and no taste, mango margarita very weak. The service personnel was nice but very slow and forgetful. Only thing they did not mess up was bottled Coors Light beer… I will never visit this establishment again and would not recommend to anyone that I liked anyway…

This place is a joke. Watched a football game there. lots of TVs but let’s say it this way… Hey Barnacles, the 80s called, they want their TVs back. Service was slow at best and they food was forgettable, just like Barnacles, forgettable. Forget going here. They are not worth your time

Completely forgettable. Food was bland. Wings were dull and slimy. Fries were tasteless. Burger wasn’t the worse I’ve had this week. But come on — it’s 2011… why are 90% of their TV’s low resolution 4:3? HDTV is pretty much the standard now. Catch up. Some of their big screens looked like they were in use in the 80s. Seriously? Went today and clearly half the place was watching the Giants/Eagles while the other half was watching the Pats/Bills. Yet both games had no audio and were put to the worst tv’s in the place.

We went for a freind’s birthday last night and were promised all sorts of bells and whistles to get our business. The manager who promised us all these things said she would come by to make sure we were taken care of. That never happened. She wasn’t even in the building. The staff was alright, as was the food. I had a Buffalo Chicken sandwich. It was good, but the loaded baked potato I got with it was better. They promised us they would stay open late and cater to us, but, again, that didn’t happen. She was wondering why people don’t go there and trying to up their business, well now you know why. Promises promises with no delivery. The only reason I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is that they had 2 for 1 drinks which was nice.

This plac was pretty cool. They have TVs all around the restaurant. Every tv has a different channel, mostly sport channel. there’s also a game room for either adults or kids. I had the fish tacos and it was yummy because the fish was really soft! Most places have the fish fried to a point that Theres no fish or it’s supper hard. So I must give them thumbs up for the fish taco. Their clam chowder soup was good too. My bf orderd prime rib cuz they had the Wednesday $ 10 prime rib. It wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst I’ve ever tried. Didn’t go outside but when I arrived they were playing some music so that sounded fun too, but my bf an his friends wanted to watch some sports so we ended up eating inside.

Been here a few times. The most TVs I have seen outside of an electronics store in one location. Staff is friendly, but like their sandwiches and pasta dishes, always have leftovers. Calamari is also pretty good as well. On a busy night parking is problematic and sometimes traffic is frustrating. If you like decent food(if you are looking for top notch grub you will not go here), sports, and trivia then this is the spot.

A giant place with plenty of seating indoors AND outdoors. Oh, and did I mention that there were enough TVs so that even a wayward Chicago girl could keep up on her teams in the playoffs(GOBULLS!)??? Well, there were! Ventured in here with two of my oldest and dearest friends with the promise of 2 lbs of crab legs on special and two-for-one happy hour cocktails(why, oh why, doesn’t Illinois have happy hour, I ask!) And crab was indeed on special. Even better? Soup or salad to start(gumbo for me, which was heavenly, all spicy and chunky) and my choice of sides… I was«good» and went with the veggies. Honestly, I did not take much of a look at the rest of the menu, as I was focused on the crabbiness that was about to ensue… but it seemed adequate. The crab did not disappoint. My crab-crackin’ skills, however, did. As my fellow Chicagoan and I slowly worked through our shells, our newish Tampa-native pal busted through those shells like she was a pro. I’d call her a show-off, but by the end, she was pulling some serious chunks of meat out of the shells for ME, so I got nothin’ but love for her. One gripe? My biggest crab claw had a massive«growth» on it. I mean, seriously, there was black stuff all over it. Granted, I know it was cheap, and I know I am not the biggest crab eater, but seriously, scrape that sh*t off in the kitchen before you plop it down in front of me. Service was friendly, down to the free bday shot for my friend, and the recommendation of the pool hall across the street for an after-party with a juke box. I’d definitely venture back for the crab special, but I would make sure they would double-check my pile for any«growths»…I like my crustaceans clean, thank you!
