Tijuana Flats

Wife and I ate there for our first time. We are generally the type to at least give a place a couple of chances. Unfortunately, we will NOT be back here. Neat décor, nice people, but the food is FAR from anything I would pay for again.

Worse experience.
We order food with vegetarian option (No Meat). Out of three, one order came with many chunks of meats. We informed the staff, they replace order and did other formalities. We did take away that replaced plate. Every thing solve.
Now, when we opened that plate at home and we found same chunk of meat. How it is even possible?
I have called manager right away to filed complaint about this repatative mistake. As usual, they offer another plate if we visit the store again and apologized for the mistake of food containment. Also did informed me that manager on duty had not checked food for possible containment of food products after I informed them while dine in.
We got lot of apologies so far other than the food we ordered. Again, how it is even possible same mistake again???
I learned my lesson and will not visit this place again. I hope management give proper training to food preparing team and focus on customer complaints seriously.

I searched high and low for the perfect burrito to meet my taste. My search ended at Tijuana Flats. The food is delicious, price is reasonable, service excellent and the atmosphere is comfortable

By far my favorite taco spot in Brandon. You can catch me here on Taco Tuesday’s for sure. The food’s great but the staff is even better.
A couple of months while cleaning my new house I placed my GIA appraised 20 thousand dollar engagement ring in my bra. I took a break to go get some tacos. It slipped my mind I left my ring in my bra. On my way out I felt something fall but didn’t see anything so I proceeded to my car then back home.
I’m laying in bed stuffed after my amazing meal when my stomach almost fell through my ass realizing I didn’t have my ring & it wasn’t in my bra. By this time it’s after 11 and Tijuana Flats is closed. I called anyway to see if maybe they were still there cleaning. A gentleman picked up the phone and I was ecstatic I asked if anybody turned in an engagement ring. He said yes!!! One of the staff members found it on the floor … I sent my angry fiancé to get it… we were both so grateful & amazed.
Talk about honesty !!!. I will never forget it !!! Thank you so much Tijuana flats for hiring honest good people.

The staff provided great service to order, as well as delivering food quickly. The food was fresh and tasty, full of flavor. The staff were attentive. We would definitely come back here if we are in the area.

There really is not a better burrito than the Megajuana steak burrito wet with queso. I get the same thing every time I come here. The hot sauce bar is awesome especially for those of us who don’t do spicy. Also it’s the cheapest on taco Tuesday’s when you can get two tacos chips and a drink for $ 5.99!

One of my favorite Tuesday lunch spots in Brandon. Even on a busy lunch day, I still manage to get my food reasonably quickly.
Food wise, their menu is pretty good and I consider this place one of the few places where I can get good cheap fish tacos. Even their blackened chicken is a good choice for me. Their chips are very solid and much better than other places.
My only gripe would be that they occasionally switch out some sauces in their hot sauce bar, but there’s usually other hot sauces that I like. Overall, hard not to like the good service and the hot sauce bar.

This place is awesome! Cheap, good quality food and very fair portions. The hot sauce bar is out of this world and the all day Saturday happy hour is the best in the area. ALL draft beers are 2.00 on happy hour and they usually have one or two craft brews on tap. Service speed is nice. Staff usually seem a little stressed and unhappy. Bathrooms are usually disgusting. But I can live with that as happy as I am with the rest of the place!

Tijuana flats has easily became one of my favorite places. From the time I walk in to the time I leave its a great experience.
I’ve never had better attention to our needs then at this place, which is amazing because it’s not your traditional wait staff setup.
I love how you walk in and immediately get to place your order and grab your drinks. Most the time you are just getting to sit in your seat when they are already bringing out some of your food. To say fast service is an under statement. And instead of 1 assigned waiter that gets distracted or busy there is a team of servers that constantly patrol the floor and checking up on guests. I don’t think I’ve even had a drink go half empty before they asked if I wanted a re fill. Major kudos to the staff at this establishment, and even more kudos to the man who designed this setup for their restaurants.
To compliment the great service the food is just as much to rave about. Again judging on the basis of the style of restaurant being about speed and convenience, it’s a hands down 5 stars. I’ve been to plenty of Latino places and even after waiting 15 – 30 minutes for food still doesn’t come out half as good as Tijuana flats. Every meal I’ve had was fresh, pipping hot, and super delicious. I love the options on the menu, especially the pick two. And I love the «enchantments» wether you want to make it healthier or «make it wet».
Just talking about this place makes my taste buds salivate and wanting to run back up for more.

Absolutely delicious! I went for the first time today (Taco Tuesday woohoo) and everything was wonderful. The food was fresh, and they did not skimp on the meat! My family was very satisfied with our order, and we will be back for more. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Wow. Went in just to grab a quick bite and was blown away with how on point the whole staff was. Food was really good as well but the staff is the stand out here. Shout out to the girl in yellow shorts. Meant to get her name but either way she gave great service!

Mgr Brittney is awesome. I love this place. Awesome environment. Crazy busy but staff is very cool and friendly. Order the banging chicken burrito bowl.

Brittany and her crew at Tijuana’s never fail us. In the rarity when there is a mistake, they apologize even when we didn’t feel it was necessary. It is this personalized connection that they have with their customers, and loyal customers like us that keeps us coming back two or more times a week.
Our favorite dishes are Beef Tostadas and Banging Chicken Tostadas… Being creatures of habit, the majority of the staff know our order and our name so we barely have to do anything beyond chatting and paying. Love this store, love this team.

Hello Unilocalers. Yes, it’s me again. So today I decided to take a late lunch to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. After my last experience I decided to give them another try. Why? Well, for those of you who read my reviews you know that cleanliness and customer service are VERY IMPORTANT to me. Not only did I get an apology from the manager but I was given a 20.00 gift card to make up for the experience. Now that us customer service! !!
So, first the customer service for today. This place never seems to let me down. The are always so friendly and welcoming. Got to love it!
Now, the food. I placed my order to go at 2:20 and I got my food at 2:28. Not bad! The only thing that went wrong was that I ordered my chimmychunga on white and the put it on wheat. No biggie. Wheat is healther. They did offer to make it over and for this I am grateful.
Great job Tijuana syaff! It is because of your genuine concern for your customers that I keep coming back.

Everything I expected from all the other chain Tijuana Flats. Artistic and energetic environment with good food. Enjoyed a lunch in a Sunday around 1. It was extremely busy, but food came out quick. Wasn’t too hungry, just got 2 beef tacos and my wife ordered the chicken and black bean quesadilla.

Tijuana Flats is a far cry from authentic Mexican food. To me, that is a good thing. Sometimes I get a hankering for some good authentic Mexican food, but most of the time TJs will do just fine.
I like how everything is always fresh. This place is good, and consistent. They’re also extremely efficient with peak rush times. Everyone has always been friendly, with a greet as we come and go.
I usually have the chimichanga, but sometimes I get the burrito. This time I got the choose dos, with a chimichanga and an enchilada. I get them wet, topped with queso. I’ve never had a complaint about the food. Also, I get chips and queso which, if you didn’t know, is bottomless. Their sweet tea is always delicious. Some of the best sweet tea in Central Florida.
They also have a hot sauce bar. The sauces range from sweet and tangy, too burn your face off. I like it hot! Real hot! I always get the hottest sauce they have. There so many, I can’t remember any one individual sauce, but go and check it out, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Overall, it’s a nice and relaxed atmosphere with music playing, and friendly service. The menu is pretty good, and reasonably priced. The food has always been good, and as mentioned before, I really don’t have a complaint.

Tijuana flats is a good restaurant. I’ve had a few things off the menu, but my favorite is the chicken quesadilla. The chips and queso dip is also good, plus, it’s unlimited. Sometimes I get it to-​go.
Their menu is good. Their ingredients are always fresh and tasty. They have a hot sauce bar that I really love. It starts with sweet, and ends with OMG hot.
The ceiling decoration is cool. It looks like a bunch of individual works of art. There is an upbeat atmosphere that puts me in a good mood. The service has always been good. I like the food, and I’ll be back for sure.

Worst experience ever. The waitress «Ashley» snapped at me for not checking my order when the cashier did not type in my order correctly. I love Tijuana but damn, hire some respectful staff. It’s not the customers fault if the cashier messes up!

I’m always ordering take-​out from these guys, so my food has traveled a bit before I’ve eaten it.
I have almost always ordered the same thing: the double stacked cheesy crunchy taco special. I’m botching the name, I can’t ever remember the whole name. And it isn’t on the menu either, and you can’t order it online.
It’s a hard taco filled with meat of your choice (I’m partial to the carnitas, dolly likes the ground beef) and other toppings, and then placed on a soft taco slathered with cheese. Yummy! It comes with a few chips or a small cup of rice-​n-​beans.

Try asking for a hard taco inside a soft taco at Moe’s and they won’t do it, it’s not on their menu they say. I’ve even offered to pay extra, but was refused this delicious combination 3 times at the closest Moe’s to me (Winthrop Town Center location).

Love the atmosphere here. Greeted immediately upon entering and the hostess was very friendly, explained the menu pretty well, and even made a bet with my husband. Good start. Here you walk up to the counter, order your meal, pay and collect your drink then find a place to sit. Someone brings out your food. Everyone was very nice, no complaints at all about the service.
I ordered a two taco dinner. One was a crispy taco with beef, the other a soft taco with chicken and refried beans with an order of black beans and rice with it. The flavor was fine, think a bit better than taco bell, but nothing to knock my socks off. Both tacos could have been a bit more generous on the fillings. Rice and beans were fine. Since it was our first visit, they gave us an complimentary order of chips and salsa. I did not like this at all and did not eat them. Regular store bought chips and a really unpleasing salsa. Definitely would not pay for these.
Prices were reasonable and they serve COKE products, hurray !! I would come back for a quick lunch, it was ok !
