Nice place to stop and watch a game. Started with some popcorn to snack on. Then ordered the spinach dip which was yummy. Chicken parm was priced right but was a little on the breaded side. Margarita was well priced for happy hour and good. Service was so friendly and quick. Really nice place to visit!

Ordering drinks and food were easy. It was hard to get our drinks refilled and the waitress never bothered to ask how our meal was because she was more concerned about cleaning up. She knew her service wasn’t good because on the receipt dated 05÷18÷16 @ 10:12PM her name was AMBAR1. The food was good. I ordered the boneless wings. No popcorn though. I thought that was a «99» thing. They hand out popcorn to snack on. Maybe not up here.

Sirloin tips were great and the prices can’t be beat. Wish i could find a place like this back home. They ran out of ribs, which I heard were great. Maybe next time. Can’t say enough how great the staff is here.

Yesterday afternoon we spent some time here with friends to celebrate a special event. We ended up coming in before the dinner rush with a large group and we were seated quickly. The atmosphere here was great and the staff at this location is amazimg. Our waitress was incredibly polite and attentive throughout our visit. When it came to our meal, our appetizers were delicious(boneless wings, mozzarella sticks and potato skins) while our entrées were just as good(burgers and shrimp basket.) Overall, the experience was great and we enjoyed the time we spent here.

I was in vt over the weekend to attend a funeral. Brattleboro is a pretty quiet town especially on a Sunday night. My entire family(probably over 15 of us) were starving Sunday evening after the wake which ended at 9, although this restaurants kitchen closes at 10, and most of us arriving at 9:15 they still took all of us! The food was very good and the staff was very nice. We ate a lot and drank a lot too! The bill was very reasonable, deff give it a try if your in the area

Managers are rude. After several visits to 99 I no longer bother. Manager will tell you asking to combine coupon is stealing and service seemed slower than other chains

So, most places are sweet to bring you complimentary bread or chips & salsa, or even peanuts, but, at 99 they bring you … POPCORN! That would do it right there, but their hot buttered lobster rolls were also delicious! And… we got a bag full of popcorn to go! What a lovely dining experience!

We stopped here for dinner on our way home from Canada. It looked a little busy, so we chose to sit at the bar and went right in. Both my wife and I ordered the new sliced sirloin, I started with the blue cheese wedge salad and she started with the bistro salad. The service was prompt and friendly, even though they were quite busy. The salads were good, but the slice sirloin was great! A good portion, and seasoned quite nicely! Will definitely be back on our next run to Canada!!!

Was planning to be a group of approximately 15 to 20 people after a meet at Woodman’s gymnastics. I called ahead and spoke with the manager and gave him an approximate time of arrival. Once I was certain on the time I called back and the restaurant started to close off a section they felt would work for this size group. As we arrived, two of the hostess were very interested in the 1st place finish our girls had just placed. They were very interactive with our group. This was very nice and our team felt very«invited» into this chain restaurant. Once we were seated we were taken care of by Melissa. She was excellent and worked within our parameters to have 5 separate checks going at our table. Drinks were refilled in a timely manner and food orders all, arrives at the same time and as requested. The restaurant was clean and again, all staff members were very nice and very helpful. They made a big deal about the huge championship trophy propped in the middle of the table. This is a great place to come, even better with a gymnastics or other team competing less than a mile down the road.

We’ve experienced the Brattleboro 99 in just about every capacity: Eat in at the restaurant, eat in at the bar and curbside takeout. It’s all been very good. The staff here are always in a good mood and are very friendly. For a chain style restaurant, they have a good menu. They usually rotate items based on seasons and keep the popular sellers on there year round. They do a good job at offering variety; and not just a burger or a chicken sandwich with a basil leave to make it «Italian». The menu is rather expansive, so there’s most likely something there to make everyone happy. It can get busy here on a Friday or a Saturday. We’ve had luck getting a spot at the bar and eating our meal there. Or, try the curbside takeout. If you’re heading up 91, call when you get a to Greenfield. You’re food will be ready by the time you get to Exit 3. The staff here really seem to enjoy their job. Our server last time was very friendly and attentive. Other servers who were helping other customers smiled and said hello. We asked to move our table since we were seated close to the door… no problem at all. Our server took the time to explain the changes to the menu and gave her advice on what was good. I had what she suggested and it was excellent. The portions are generous. My wife ordered a salad and it was monstrous. This a good place to come if you’re looking for a good meal at a good price with a friendly atmosphere.

We stopped in on Sunday afternoon, Mother’s Day. They were very busy with a line waiting for tables. We made our way to the bar where we were lucky to get 2 seats together. We ordered salads and soups. Salads were fresh, soup hot, service was excellent considering it was a busy Mother’s Day holiday. All in all a very nice experience for a chain restaurant. No complaints.

I was on a business trip and this place was right near my hotel. I went in, had dinner and drink, and the bartender(Lisa) was super helpful. I ended up coming the very next night, but this time with another 12 colleuges, and sure enough, Lisa remembered me and really took care of us that night. Thanks again!

Great little place with awesome service. The food here is sort of like your TGIF or Applebee’s but have to say a lot fresher. So give it a try if that is the type of food you are looking for.

We’ve never been and decided to give it a try. They had some healthy selections for entrees — we tried bruschetta cod and the rib combo. We both added soup and petite dessert for a little more $. We had a great server who was attentive and helpful. They served us popcorn while we waited and it was a pleasant experience. I’d rank this above apple bees and chills. They have a down to earth servers and decent food. Better than friendlys and other chains as well. I’ll def give this another try next time we run into this venerable chain.

Our entire dinner experience was fabulous.(And we eat out a whole lot, so it says something). Our server, Angie, was pleasant, helpful with our selections and hustled to refill drinks, etc. the prime rib and onion petals were great and the fried fish platter equally great. This is just great American food at good prices with really friendly faces. We’d stop in again next time through Brattleboro.

A surprisingly good meal. I’d have never pulled in if I’d seen some of the other reviews. BBQ sampler was very good. Sirloin steak tips were great! Decent service.

I don’t really understand this place. I live/work/eat in the NY/NJ Metro area and I consider TGI Friday’s to be a lousy restaurant. This place is lower than Friday’s. It felt like I was dining at the gimpy offspring of Friday’s and Applebees. The food was less than mediocre at best. I had some sort of Balsamic Chicken dish. The chicken was clearly frozen and put right on the grill. The broccoli was rubbery and tasteless(probably also frozen). The only decent part of my meal was the baked potato which I ordered plain. How hard is it screw up a plain baked potato? I guess the only good thing I can say about the food is that they seem to have some healthier options. But I will never find out because I will never go back. The service was nothing to write home about. Average at best. I was dining with 6 other people who were between the ages of 25 and 50. Two of the girls ordered wine and the server actually carded them, like they were trying to scam the restaurant with underage drinking. It turns out, one girl did not have her ID and the whole table was reprimanded by the manager. For some strange reason, the restaurant was packed with locals(maybe yokels) is the right word on a Saturday night. Are there no other options in the area? YUCK. SKIPIT.

We were in town for one night and stayed at the Super 8. We asked what restaurants were available and were told that this place was in walking distance. We decided to walk, we had to brave the circle of death in a somewhat not well lit area and eventually got to our destination. Overall this place is like any other applebees type restaurant. The food was good, service was good as well and the price very reasonable. Everything we asked for eventually came. The service screwed up a few times for non major stuff but they made up for it.

For what it is, it’s fine. There’s just not that much to it. Onion soup was about as inedible as they come. No broth. Or perhaps it was the huge piece of bread they stuck on top. But that was very disappointing. The cobb salad was better. Fresh vegetables and a good portion. Get the dressing on the side. Prime rib may have been affordable but had lots of fat and other parts that were inedible. So the price of the part that you could eat was not as big of a bargain. Service was pretty good. Décor is typical for a 99 with some local touches. It was packed on a Friday night too. Overall, it’s a fine place to stop as you head up north. But don’t expect to be dreaming about coming back anytime soon.

Was here once before for dinner and was very disappointed in the meal I ordered. Trying again today for lunch. Décor: nice touch of hanging framed pictures high school sports teams from across the years. Place is well lit, mostly clean, and Service: friendly, timely, and helpful. Typical for a chain in a small town. Food: decent prices. $ 6 lunch deals. $ 9 burgers. $ 12 dinners. Ordered chicken burrito wrap — verdict: tasty. Flavorful chicken, a little light on beans and salsa, and the rice was slightly undercooked. But, I was surprised at the edibility. Drink: $ 2 for a 16oz bud select. Crappy beer but right price for lunch. Large cocktail/margarita as well.
