Confirming this place is closed. Too bad. food was decent. but marketing was a flop. I mean what’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear BROWNSPOT? definitely not delicious crunchy fried chicken wings in garlic sauce… I would’ve at least change the color to Golden Spot :/ Well… at least there is Koko chicken in Buena Park.,

I’ve tried this place twice and I really like their wings! I went back for lunch at around 1PM this past Tuesday and they were closed! You can’t make business if you close during lunch hours! I didn’t see a sign on their door for hours. There was however a sign that said that they’ll return at 4PM. I wasn’t gonna wait so I ended up getting Cilantro’s Taco’s instead. Which was still a great choice. CHICKENSPOT, PLEASEHAVESETTIMES! I’M TOTALLYCRAVINGTHEGARLICWINGS! 5 stars for delicious wings, 1 star for not having set hours. I’m not a psychic, I can’t know when you decide to close/open.

I’m a korean and I know good chicken. This is not good chicken, this is the GREATEST chicken joint I’ve ever gone to. I’ve had wingstop, bww, love letter, bbq chicken, but their chicken was never as fresh and juicy as Chicken Spot’s! Sure, this restaurant is a hole in the wall, but parking is plentiful and the store’s clean! As someone who lives in Brea, I am OVERJOYED that a korean-style chicken spot opened up in my city. No more drives to Buena Park or Rowland Heights! The orange spot is my FAVVVV! However, I’ve recently tried to make a pick up order, but their phone line is disconnected and I fear the worst.

As all residents of Brea know, it’s hard to get good Asian food around here, let alone Korean-style chicken. I don’t particularly enjoy American-style chicken like Buffalo Wild Wings or Wingstop, and I don’t want to go all the way to Rowland Heights to wait an hour for Love Letter. It was a miracle that I even found this restaurant. This place is very easy to miss. It’s small compared to the giant 99 Cents Store right next door. I walked in for a quick take-out and was put off by the emptiness inside. However, the owner was a really nice guy who said that he hadn’t be able to get good business due to the poor location and lack of publicity. It took about 15 – 20 minutes because it’s made fresh at the time of order, so maybe I should’ve called ahead. No big deal. The food was worth the wait. It’s not that it was good for a local Brea restaurant. It’s on par with other Korean-style chicken restaurants that I’ve tried before. I honestly believe that if more people knew about this place, there wouldn’t be a seat left for a child to fit. The sweet-and-spicy was a perfect combination between the two tastes. The garlic chicken was also refreshing, not too dry or salty like other places. I come here every week. Prices are decent, food is excellent, and I like waiting while watching Spirited Away on the store’s flat screen. Maybe you’ll run into me?

I gave this restaurant a 5 before because of the good wings but maybe that’s because I just went for my first time. One of my biggest pet peeves for restaurants just happened to occur with this one and that is closing earlier than their advertised time! I already think it is bad business when places do not allow customers 10 minutes before closing time, but this closed like an hour early? Wow. Today, I told my family I will be ordering chicken from this good spot that they need to try for dinner so I even told them that they no longer need to cook dinner and planned it all out. I come out of work at 7pm and this place apparently closes at 8pm, so I called after work and there was no answer. I was thinking maybe they just missed it so I went to the actual place and found out that they were really closed! I was so disappointed because this affected my family’s dinner plans too(this is why I hate businesses that close early)! i don’t even know if I will return because I get out of work late and anytime after 7pm is the only time I can really order from here. Another thing, why would a wing restaurant want to close at 8pm(and then close earlier than that advertised time)? People usually eat wings for dinner and at later times. Think about the top wing chains. Many of them close at like 10pm or later. I see potential in this spot but they need to adjust their way of running the business. I’m not gonna lie, the chicken sells itself because of their taste, but unfortunately, I will be the first bad review because they need to learn the basics of customer satisfaction in order to continue to do well. Maybe one day I see improvement, this could change. Better luck next time Chicken Spot.

Tried take-out from this spot out today. first off. i’m a HUGE hot wings head so I’ve had my share of wings in this world. Turns out they’re Korean hot wings not your traditional American hot wings. no biggie I love all types of wings. I walked in to pick up my order from a completely empty restaurant. hmmm… I ordered the 24 piece($ 18+change), half buffalo half sweet & spicy. I think they gave me just spicy on my 2nd half because I couldn’t feel my tongue after my 3rd wing. definitely no sweet. The buffalo were good, nothing extraordinary. They gave me under an ounce of ranch, unfortunately I didn’t realize until I got home, but I know this because I actually weighed it. really? 24 wings and hardly any ranch. no biggie. luckily I had some in my fridge. The meat on the wings was fair, not super bulky but typical wing portion. There were a few bulky leg pieces so that was good. Overall this spot was OK, not much to make this place stand out from the rest. I don’t see myself returning anytime soon. I’d place this spot right under Pizza Hut’s Wingstreet, and that’s already in the low 10 on my list. so you make the call.

I AMSOHAPPY I FOUNDTHISPLACE! Korean Fried Chicken is basically what this place serves. Unfortunately there aren’t lot of sides, just fries and onion rings. So I usually get it to go and go home and enjoy some dinner. I usually get the brown spot(Soy Garlic) wings and the Orange wings(sweet and spicy). If you order 12 wings, you can get 6 of two different sauces. PROTIP: Call ahead and place your order, whether you are dining in or taking it to go. Since they cook it all fresh after you order, it takes a bit of time waiting. My first time there, I was the only one there, at a random time on a Sunday and I waited at least 10 minutes while the guy fried up the wings and sauced them. So imagine if there was a line of orders and it was busy… If you blink you’ll miss this place, but it’s in the shopping center with the 99 cents store and right next door to a chinese food place. Parking is a breeze.

Much better than Buffalo Wild Wings, and the owner is really nice. You can phone in your order to avoid waiting(although I think that waiting 15 – 20 minutes for these wings is still worth it). It’s a really small place, and while there are a few tables, I’ve never seen anyone actually eating there(I always order them to go).

Great place for some chicken! The owner was really nice, i ordered the drumstick lunch special. The order came with 7 drumsticks, order of fries and a can soda all for 8.99. They have a variety of different sauces to flavor your drumsticks or wings. This place is pricier other places but worth it.

I must say that I am really impressed here, really good and fresh chicken! I think i finally found a spot that is better than Buffalo Wild Wings, Pizza and Chicken Love Letter, and even The Alley in Westminster. This place is really a whole in the wall, doesn’t stand out at all from the outside. If it wasn’t for my friend mentioning this place, I think I would have never discovered it. When I got here, they already had the food laid out on the table. To be honest, I don’t remember the name of the wings but I think I tried the Orange wings, Jalapeño wings, the traditional wings and the really spicy wings(I do mean Spicy!). They all had such a good taste, every bite full of favor and just the right amount of batter. The jalapeño wings, I think were my favorite! Never had that flavor anywhere! very unique and different. As far as the hottest wings here, The spicy level is really high up there. Sadly to say, I think the Atomic Sauce from The Alley is still the spiciest, but doesn’t knock out how spicy and good that order is here. The fries are thin, crispy and good! Although the fries are saltier than usual fries, I don’t mind it at all. Kinda reminds me of the first time I had my share of Mc Donalds fries(although these fries are way better! just using it as an example lol). Really was nice eating with the owner here. Very nice man, admirable on the work he does to really make the chicken here fresh daily. I won’t give his secrets on what he does to really make this place better than all the spots, but what I can say is his hard work really shows through the food. For sure I’ll be coming back often!

Look out BBQ Chicken, Koko Chicken, and Chicken Love Letter Pizza. The Chicken spot is fresher and tastes a whole lot better than anything I’ve tried at those restaurants. The best part is that none of the chicken is frozen. You can tell the wings you order from here are organically raised chickens. And not the oversized chicken wings you see at places like BWW. We tried just about everything like the no sauce chicken, the brown flavor which is soy sauce and garlic. The Orange chicken which tastes like BBQ chicken but more intense because of the garlic. The Red chicken which is made with a chili sauce and garlic. And the Jalapeño chicken which is made with soy sauce and crushed jalapeños. All the choices were delicious and very crispy. The double fried cooking techniques give the chicken a perfect texture and flavor. All of them are my favorite but if I had to choose it would be the Orange Chicken and the Jalapeño chicken all made with galic. Notice how almost every chicken flavor combination contained garlic. I was in garlic chicken heaven, even when you take some togo the order stays crispy even the next day. You have to try this new place out.

We just tried this place a few days ago. If you’re familiar with the Korean chain KyoChon’s wings, the Brown Spot wings here at Chicken Spot will definitely ring some bells for you. The aroma, flavor profile, and appearance of the wings are definitely Kyochon-esque. My wife and I were sad when KyoChon closed their location in Rowland Heights, but now for all intents and purposes, we’ve essentially got one here in Brea! Score! I only wish that they had pickled radish and rice here and it would be a total win. The fries are good, but they just don’t go that great with these Asian flavors, IMHO. The Orange Spot is pretty much like a mildly spicy orange chicken wing… tasty but the Brown Spot with its hardcore garlic is still the best. Don’t come here expecting traditional Buffalo hot wings, this is definitely not the place for that. Definitely call 20 minutes ahead of time, it’s all cooked to order. The owner is extremely nice– very friendly and polite guy.

This place just opened. It’s a take out type of spot and there aren’t really any tables to sit and eat at. The menu is limited. They have chicken wings, chicken drumstricks and side dishes, french fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, and cheese sticks. They have 4 or 5 different sauces that can be ordered on the wings or on the side. We took ours to go and ate at home. Unfortunately, the side dishes got soggy by the time we got home. I don’t know if they would have been soggy had we eaten them fresh. The side dishes were just ok. We also ordered the wings. Tried the spicy sauce and it was great and very spicy. I also really liked the garlic flavor. I tried the sweet and spicy and it was just ok(not bad though). Service was really friendly. Like everyone else mentioned, expect a wait. Took about 20 – 30 minutes for our order.

Great wings but like the other Unilocalers noted, you should call ahead because they are cooked to order and that takes a long time! My favorite is the Brown Spot. I will be back to try the Red Spot. I wish the cashier didn’t convince me not order it because the Orange Spot was not spicy at all and I can take the heat :)

I went to the Chicken Spot a few days after their grand opening and I must say, I was pretty impressed with their wings. I’ve been to other wings place like Buffalo Wild Wings and Wingstop but they don’t really taste as fresh and crispy as the Chicken Spot. I prefer crunchy/crispy wings over wings that were just boiled with sauces splattered on and the Chicken Spot is freshly cooked and it’s crunchy and crispy. I like that they spread the sauce over each chicken, front and back so you can get the taste of the whole flavor. I went with my husband and my friend and we ordered the Brown Spot(Garlic Sauce-my favorite) Green Spot(Jalapeño) and Orange Spot(Sweet & Spicy). My husband likes the Orange spot and my friend loves the Jalapeño(there’s little chunks of jalapeño). The wait was a little long but then again, I went a few days after their grand opening and there was only one guy working. He took the payment and he made the food so I understood why the wait was a little long but at least it came out tasting fresh. I would definitely come here again for wings and order for parties and gatherings but I would order ahead of time to avoid the wait.

Went for take out and ordered Red Spot(Spicy Sauce) and Brown Spot(Garlic Sauce). The employee was trying to tell me the spicy was real spicy and I may want the sauce on the side. I am use to spicy sauces and had the sauce put on the wings. The spicy sauce was not spicy to me. There was spice to it but not what I am use to having. The garlic sauce was not spicy but tasted better. They do not have any traditional bufffalo sauces to choose from. At home I made my own traditional buffalo sauce and dipped the Garlic wings and it made them soooo much better. I will go back for take out. I will not get the Red Spot sauce again as it is not what I like. Its got flavor but just not a tranditional flavor. Order in advance, at least 20 minutes. The wings are cooked to order and were cooked to perfection.

New Chicken Spot just opened up and I was impressed with the wings. I tried Brown Spot(Garlic Sauce) — So good. Orange Spot(Sweet & Spicy) — Nice. Make sure you order ahead of time. Took about a 20min wait for 12 wings if you order on the spot.
