O’Connor’s Public House

Typical ‘Irish’ type drinking establishment. Nothing special. Food is BBQ ??? HUH??? Don’t know, didn’t try but an Irish drinking bar with no shepherds pie, corned beef and cabbage… ummm ok. It was good for a drink waiting for a movie next door sure. Would I make a special trip. NO.

Better than bar food, better than diner food and certainly better than certain chain restaurants. The mac n cheese is so good! Home made and you can tell is made with real cheeses. The potatoes skins — omg, orgasmic! The fish is so fresh and is worth trying if you are a fish lover or even if you’re on the fence with eating fish. I don’t like fish but I tried my husbands fish dinner and it was surprisingly good. No fishy smell or taste. We have eaten inside years ago but recently we have ordered take out several times and it only gets better.
I recommend this place for take out. I give them a lot of credit for being around this long and not skimping on freshness or quality of their food after all these years.

Bartender chris? I think was his name. On point. Food a different story. Raw chicken tenders on a hard roll as a chicken parm. First time I ate there it was excellent. I may give it a second chance. Everyone makes mistakes. Mullarkey.

It started out OK. We walked in and we had been there before. Everyone turned around like «who are these people» it was so surprisingly empty, which did not bother me but struck me as a change since the last time there. Had a few drinks. Decided not to order food after hearing from the cook, that only one sandwich had been made all day. We actually went out of our way to order online from the place nect door «Aversano’s» while sitting at the bar (great online app). We then got out last drink and asked for the check. They handed me a half of a beer and the bartender said she had to ask the «other» bartender to change the keg. That was fine since we were on our way out. Then the magic happened once we gavr them the credit card to pay the bill The bar tender ran it through and then let it sit on the register and noted to us that the other bar tender needed to run it. Since there Were only 2 I assumed this would not be a long ordeal. As soon as the other bartender arrived after an extended phone call he ran it. Then when she asked us to we realized there was no card attached. They looked half heartedly for 15 minutes beforr they said anything to us. I take this exceptionally hrd being I work for the credit card company. They offered nothing in return orher then the fact that they lost it. In a nut she’ll this place has gone down hill and potentially running a credit card/​identity theft scam. Stay away for your own good! Now time to cancel the credit card!

On the hunt for burgers my friend and I stopped at O’Connor’s for lunch.
Happiness swept over me during the first bite of the «Fuda» cheeseburger. I was happy a solid good burger at a good price. It wasn’t anything over the top or special, just good. This burger was what we wanted and exactly what we expected. It fit the need, it fit the price and the place fit our need for a quite local pub.
The crowd late night can be a bit young and loud but on the whole it fun a a good place to meet up with friends.
