Not that large a place but parking is very convenient. There is no hibachi but there is a wide selection with plentiful quantities, but limited dessert and sushi selection. Reasonably priced especially if you’re hungry.

Came with a friend/colleague Saturday night during our dinner break during a gig. Northern NJ Chinese buffets are much better, sorry to say. Food is okay, but sub-par. Acceptable, but nothing to write home about. Sushi could be fresher, and you can tell that the sushi at a buffet place will be better when there are at least chefs on site in sight making it constantly. The buffets I go to in Wayne and such in northern NJ have this. Service was also very slow. Since it was a Saturday night, there were families and kids running all over the place. To conclude, an okay buffet, but only just.

THISISTHEBESTCHINESEBUFFETOCEANCOUNTY. We have been coming to this location for years. The waitresses are very alert, in service and greetings and taking care of you. They love it when you attempt to speak their language. It brings it to a more family orientated surroundings. The foods are prepared with you, the customer in mind. They have more than enough food for everyone, and the foods have a great taste that we do enjoy. It needs updating yes, but for the foods being as excellent as they are, I can overlook the old for the goodness of wholesome foods. There is NOT a place in OCEANCOUNTY that you can enjoy more that the CHINABUFFET in Brick NJ. We will keep returning weekly as we have for many a years rather than eating blah foods elsewhere. i go hear atleast twice a month for 15 years. food is excellent, fresh, and awesome variety. plenty of seafood options. this is the best chinese buffet ‘ive ever been to, and i’ve been to plenty. the best times to go are 11 – 1,for lunch, and 5 – 7,for dinner. thats when food is the hottest, but they have a microwave avaliable as well. the price, 7 dollars for lunch, and 13 for dinner is a steal.

Let me preface this review by stating I love Chinese Buffets, and have visited many over the years. This place ranks very high because of the variety of seafood — namely, big Alaskan crab legs that are refilled fairly quickly; huge crawfish, although cooked in a sugar base; an exceptional cold shrimp and squid dish with onions; pepper & salt fried shrimp; and peel & eat shrimp. There’s plenty other food available, but I target seafood in these joints. All-in-all, an inexpensive($ 12.99 on a Sunday) meal. I filled up quick on the shrimp and squid dish, which I have never experienced at other buffets. I should note that this is not a place you go on a date. It’s in a small unremarkable strip mall, and the restaurant itself is nothing exquisite.

Place is a bit run down looking. Food isn’t that warm but it is cheap and tasty. Staff is very nice.

First and foremost the jello here is obviously the best in the county. They offer ectocooler green and banana hammock yellow. Beyond the desserts, there’s plenty of options to enjoy. We particularly enjoyed the warm rubber bands in a sweet sewage sauce. Delicious! The water was cold and refreshing, the best I’ve ever had at a low class food establishment. If this China Buffet was the winner of the great 15 year war, I can’t imagine the genuine quality that the other three competitors offered. The only disappointment that we encountered was the fact that the employees would not share their higher quality Burger King super value meal :(. If you are ever in Brick and need an extreme colon cleanse, this place is for you!

We eat here every so often because of the choices we have with picking from the buffet and it’s a quick in & out fast service. I would like to see the food fresher then what it is and hotter would be nice. The cake & cookie desserts are not at all good. Too cheaply made & not at all tasty. I would like to see bananas & strawberries in a syrup for a dessert and some real cake added into the dessert bar. They do have crab claws & shrimp which is good for an entrée. Hot tea is free and so is the water. The price is fair enough but I never seem to feel I eat enough. My favorite dessert is the ice cream that I top with peaches & syrup. I usually pick at the rice and chicken entrée & the boneless ribs & crab rangoon. It’s a fun place for us because we get to eat soup, salad and have a choice of many entrees. The bathrooms need a makeover. The ladies room is not clean and some things need to be removed and renovated and did I mention cleaned a lot better then what it is now. Not a bad place. The best time to eat here is nighttime or weekends, so you know the food is fresh.

went there on a tuesday night with low expectations. my expecations were not met. i will never go to another chinese buffet, i should of went with my gut. it was a slow night so the food was sitting for a while. this is not an excuse. if you like buffets give it a try. if your on the fence dont cross it. my kid only ate the jello and nothing else.

The De facto winner of the 15 year Brick, NJ China Buffet War, this is the last remaining Chinese buffet in Brick. At one point in time there were 4 Chinese buffets in Brick so there were plenty of choices, but with the one at Brick Plaza recently closing down, China Buffet King is the now lone survivor. Their prices are very reasonable and the food selection is very varied. The quality of the food is slightly above average and for the price you pay you can’t complain. The sushi selection is actually pretty good for a buffet, but the quality is only a tad above supermarket quality. If you want to stuff yourself with Chinese food, this is the only place still available in the area.

I found the waitresses cold and unsociable as if we were doing them a favor by eating there. The food is good so I go back but lacks friendliness which is a bit of a turnoff.

It’s just your typical chinese buffet, but it wasn’t the best. They had a wide selection of salads, entrees, and desserts, but most of them were very bland. Some of them did not seem fresh like their sushi or their chinese fried donuts The rice was hard and the bread was a bit soggy. Most of the items weren’t even very warm so that was a turn off. I really liked the baked scallops though. I think I had at least 10 of those. I think I only enjoyed the seafood for the most part.
