When you get your appetizers AND your entrée before even getting your drinks, that’s a problem.
Birthday girl wanted sangria, so we came here for sangria.
Sangria was not good. For all of that waiting, I was expecting the best sangria on the planet.
The server noticed that the sangria was taking too long she asked us if we wanted something else to drink & she would comp the sangria. (Still wondering where our water is since we never got any.)
That was a different story when the bill came. Server said we agreed to comp the soda not the sangria. Who the hell wants to comp soda, it’s only like $ 2 – 3?!
The bartender came over & delivered it himself, which was nice I suppose.
Food was good, not complaints on that end.
Dessert on the other hand… My ice cream had freezer burn. There were chunks of ice in my ice cream. My ice cream melted because my cookie was hot & there was still chunks of ice floating in my ice cream soup.
Of course I wasn’t expecting 5 star cuisine or dining, but come on.

this store is the most disgusting, dirtiest, filthy applebee’s i have ever seen! the servers are the worst, your shoe’s stick to the floor, the tables are beyond filth. they serve cold salads on hot plates. i can not go on enough about this most disgusting establishment ever!!!
management should be trained!!!

Came here for dinner before seeing a movie last night, and the host was extremely friendly. She held the inside door open for us, was smiley and bubbly, and sat us before our wait time. She presented us the menus, told us the manager’s name, and gave us a couple suggestions of her favorite dishes and drinks. That was the only enjoyable service of the evening.
When our server came to greet us, she was miserable and rude, and tried to get our entire order all in one greet. We weren’t ready yet, and only ordered an app and our drinks, and the appetizer came before the drinks did. Upon looking into the menu, we decided we wanted to do the 2 for $ 20, and when we announced that, she responded that we had to order another appetizer because she already put the first one in the computer. That warranted an eye roll, for the 5 years I’ve been a server, in multiple places, there is never issues with the managers fixing the check for that. I ordered my salad with no chicken, as I’m a vegetarian, and the side of mac n cheese. She didn’t imply that the mac n cheese comes with bacon, and that’s a bit of a fault on both of our sides, but when the food came out, she’s like yeah it comes with it, and did not offer to help out or have a new one come out.
The bow on top of all of this, was as soon as my boyfriend finished his meal, and I was still not even halfway done with my salad or the 2^nd app, she came over and asked if we were ready to order our desserts now, or if it is «okay» to drop the check now. I was appalled. Who eats chocolate and a salad at the same time?! I serve in lower manhattan, and if anyone dared to ask that while people are eating, it’s an automatic termination. Not to mention, while we were paying, (after i was DONE eating), she stood at the table while we chose our gratuity on the iPad, which is inappropriate at well.
There were a couple of other servers working near us, and at their tables they were all friendly and nice, laughing and joking with their tables. Maybe the sweet host who was happy to help and be at work should be a server instead of this miserable woman. I wish I had caught her name.

This place has the best stake I ever tasted the place is beautiful and lovely it’s the best restaurant I ever went to it has the best drinks I ever tasted

So I’m actually here right now in Bay Plaza and our hostess Melissa (blonde hair fair skin) is one of the rudest folks I’ve had to deal with and I’ve eaten all around the world. It’s sad because i Iive in the neighborhood and my little sister said she wanted to come to Applebee’s for her 7^th birthday. I don’t think Melissa is having a good day but I don’t know why she is taking it out on me and my family. I’m not even sure if she likes the work that she is doing. My grandmother is here with us and I had to convince her to come out to eat (she doesn’t believe in eating out) she is trying to figure out why our hostess isn’t responding to us nicely, being patient while we decide what we want. Dealing with children isn’t easy and we wanted to have everything ready beforehand but her attitude didn’t make us want to pick any faster. I wish I could turn back time and eat some where else. So sad I came to Applebee’s

If this was not the only place to get cheap beers right before the movies I would have no reason to come. Bartenders are usually nice.

This is the worst Applesbees in the Bronx. I was with my friends before the pre-​game. We were waiting for the bartender to notice us so we could order a drink– hell we didn’t care to stand as long as we were served booze. The people sitting by the bar were literally held hostage as they asked for their checks numerous times. We had no choice that we went to Stop & Shop, bought a. 12 pack and drank it in the parking lot with other groups also upset at the service at Applesbees. I left my empties in front of Applebee’s to show them my resentment of their poor service. Red Robin was a much better place that left us with smile with a happy down to earth waitress.

The service gets worse and worse each time I come here. I figured this time the service would be less poor at the bar for a little pre game with the guys before a movie. We know there was football so bar seats were occupied. So we waited to be seen. The two TWO bartenders didn’t even look in our direction and there were people waiting for their checks as well so we could’ve had seats but all I saw were the blondes with the tribal tats on their shoulders and back. I couldn’t tell u what their faces looked like bc they were turned away. Ridiculous. So we drank beers in the parking lot in front of the Applebee’s like the classy/​resourceful gents we were. Never again. Red Robin it is next time!

The Staff are very rude and seem like they are beyond unhappy for doing there services. The bartenders are rude, behind the bar is filthy.

Hostess has a very nasty attitude. Waiter was very nice and that’s the only reason I give it two stars!

The food is just disgusting and the service is horrible. I waited 15 mins just to get a piece of lemon for my water… The food tasted like something you would just heat up in the microwave from products in the freezer

I’ve been to this Applebee’s a few times for early dinners and I’ve never had an issue. It’s an Applebee’s so I’m not expecting an amazing experience. I am, however, expecting decent service, and I’ve always had nice servers. As a matter of fact, the last time I went, I requested to have my cowboy burger without a bun and though the server had never heard of such a request, he made sure that I got it how I wanted it.
The drinks here are good, though the happy hour specials are only available at the bar. I’ve never had to wait too long for my food to come out, but admittedly, I try to visit before it gets too late and crowded with mall patrons. I know that once things get hectic the service can tend to slip, as evidenced by many of the other reviews. Overall I don’t have any complaints about this location, and whenever I’m in the mall and looking for a simple, cheap meal and some drinks, Applebee’s gets the job done.

This place doesn’t even deserve a 1-​star… If I could give it a 0, I would. Bad customer service; and I witnessed some waiters talking over someone’s birthday dessert for more than 5 mins; imagine how much saliva that poor person ate.
Long wait! Order takes forever! Food is not always freshly cooked! Me and my family waited almost an hour and I had to ask where my food at and I threatened to leave. Little after our food came out cold… Go elsewhere if you can… Please AVOID going here… they don’t deserve people’s money… Worst Applebee’s ever!!! Will NEVER go back there!

The drinks and food are mediocre. I’d rather spend my money somewhere else. Customer service needs improvements as well. It can get crowded very fast especially on the weekends. Parking is convenient.

I’ve been to this Applebee’s a couple times and one thing has been consistent, the customer service sucks. It sucks in the context that it takes a while to get to order and waiters are inattentive, although polite.
The food is decent and average for an Applebee’s franchise, although the wings weren’t as good as others. The place is clean and the hostess are usually good with prompt waiting time.

Ordered mild boneless wings, they weren’t fresh not hot (as in temperature), but I was starving so I ate them. 6. Ended up just putting them in a togo box because I got bored. 7. Ordered a quesadilla burger later on, came out fresh and delicious.

The taller bartender is nice, very busy with making drinks while the other tiny one looks confused and is forgetful. But she was sweet. Tall bartender took my quesadilla burger order and tiny one took my wing order…
I’ve come here before the food was mediocre each time, and this is my last time coming here.
Recommends: you get a friendly staff, people who actually give a fck, and bring out fresh food!

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!! For the love of God, AVOID!!!
Went there yesterday with the family after a day at Pelham Bay Park, we was going to head to red robin for some burgers but our son loves Applebee’s so we went there instead. Boy was that a major mistake. We waited for about 15 minutes to get our seat. Our waiter was a nice and friendly guy however that’s it. He was forgetful, didn’t clean up the table after we were done with a dish, didn’t bring forks or napkins until I asked. I asked for ketchup because our bottle was entry, the waiter takes a ketchup from other table, gives it to us and places the empty one at the table he took the bottle from. I mean, what in the world is wrong with this place? Management does not care because if they did, they would be on top of everyone.
The music was so loud it was as if we were in a club, other tables had piles of dishes that no one would clean up, which would explain the long wait for seating. We waited forever for our food and the food was terrible, cold, and stale! So bad that my husband had stomach issues afterwords. We wanted to get the hell out off the pace but even our check took for ever.
If I could give them no stars, that would be best but I can’t so they have one smh.

Man, I should’ve read the reviews before coming to this place. This is by far, the worst Applebee’s on the face of the earth.
The service had been the worst service out of any restaurant I have ever experienced. After waiting a really long time for our food, it came out out bland, room temperature, and stale. I had to ask for my own refill, my own forks, knives, and napkins. Ketchup was empty. No big deal the server just switched it with another table. Now they had an empty ketchup bottle. Oh and this place is a pig sty.
After eating only half of my disgusting meal, I waited and waited for the check. While I was waiting, we sat in our mountain of plates because no one ever cleared our table. The dishes from appetizers to our main course we’re just sitting there. No one gives a shit in this place. I wanna fire everyone from the owner all the way down to the dishwasher.
Don’t waste your time coming here. You’ll get diarrhea if you do. lol

Was driving by and figured a quick bite– in and out… Not quite. Friendly host staff who don’t communicate = me suggesting to be seated or else! This happened after a server came to the host stand to say hello to friends and took menus to seat then first!
Seated and waiting for a server to walk by– every server except mine– then she shows up. Not bad 12 minutes cause yes my timer is running boys and girls. Ordered simple dishes so there wouldn’t be a reason for delay… But there was a delay. It was buzzing– a busy lunch. Told server to bring apps WITH the food, condiments, drinks and the check. She got none of the above completed. And whispered «did you ask me for condoms»
Bathrooms were NASTY! toilet roll ON the floor
Food was bland– but hot! Manager came by– nice guy– Jose– acknowledged and apologized for series of mishaps I’m too tired to mention. I would PASS on this place if you’re looking for a fast meal and good service. Maybe mcdonalds or checkers down the block, red robin? Or just go home and order Chinese takeout. They always get it right!

Terrible service. Went here with friends after a movie and I really hope I never have to go back.
Forgotten drinks, meals, salad dressings… and overall long wait to order and to receive food.
