I’ve been going here since the 9th grade, and now that part of my commute to/from college involves passing through this area, now I can enjoy hot, cheesy, and delicious NY-style thin crust pizza for just $ 1 a slice(they also offer $ 8 pies — pepperoni is free). In the county where I live just north of here, pizza parlors that sell the same type of pizza slices as this place charge as much as $ 3, THREEDOLLARSAMERICAN, while this place(just a quick stopover on my way home from college, or just a bus ride away from home) charges only ONEDOLLAR. Why can’t these pizza parlors in Westchester County simply see what they’re doing wrong here? Anyhow, the difference in taste between Bronx Pizza’s $ 1 slices & other slices from the places up north is(to me) barely noticeable, as I am a big fan of NY-style thin crust pizza slices. Aside from the limited amount of seating & how small the place is, it’s very popular, it’s clean, you never have to wait more than mere seconds for a slice, and they even sell slushies(also $ 1 each), hot dogs(yes, these are ALSO $ 1), and garlic knots($ 1 for 5 knots). In short, if you’re a very frugal person(and a pizza lover), and like to get the most for your dollar, Bronx $ 1 Pizza is the place to go. And in this present-day economy, it is MOSTDEFINITELY worth it. UPDATE(9÷25÷2014): They have $ 1 milkshakes here now. Tried the chocolate one… nice, creamy, but it tastes a bit artificial, and it nearly made me miss the train… DX

There are a number of choices along Jerome Ave. and Gunhill Rd., but you can’t go wrong with this place. It’s always crowded and the pizza is always fresh. It’s $ 1 for a cheese slice. Marconi’s and Four Brother’s are the two other pizza places nearby that I’ve tried and although they might taste marginally better, their prices are something like 3x more. For me, the marginal cost does not equal the marginal benefit.
