This place has my favorite slice in this neighborhood. I’ve tried many of the pizzerias on Jerome and Gun Hill and this is the best one. Their single slice is huge and in my opinion had the best tasting slice. Nice thin crust. Great sauce. Perfect amount of cheese. They were even open during the huge snow storm last week. It’s a really small narrow place, hike in the wall joint but their pizza packs a huge punch. If you live or work in the area this is the spot to go to for the best slice.

they are the best ones ever, the pizza is good and the service is great, me and my causin we always get pizza from there and sometimes when the weather is ot so good we call them just for 2 slices which is kinda absurde for delivery but they still do it because they are good people, give em a try people.

This place has gone down the drain. I ordered a pizza the other day and too much sauce not even enough cheese and the toppings? Hello? I ordered the same pizza a few months back and no problem. And now? Jesus Christ. I’ve been coming to this pizza shop since I was a little girl and I can honestly say I won’t be going back I’m so upset that this place has gone down in quality and standard.

Came to NY with friends and wanted to have pizza every chance I got. Pizza was on point. Coco bread not so much. Pizza and a soda $ 2.75. Can’t beat that!

I rarely give 5 stars so 3 is definitely not a knock. Very nice guys who answer the phone. Delivery time is good. Prices are fairly cheap. Slices are large, filling, and overall solid. Try the pepperoni rolls

Love this place. The pizza is good, the slices are huge and so cheap. I don’t eat pizza anywhere else because it doesn’t make sense. It’s like the saying, once you go black you never go back. Well, once you eat at M&R Pizza why eat anywhere else like a loser :-)

The best pizza around here. I am very picky. We order here almost weekly. Wont eat anywhere else for a slice. No cards only cash.

The best Pizza in Norwood section of the Bronx… This area has lost many great Pizza shops. M&R has separated themselves from the rest. They are competitively priced… pretty cheap actually. Any pie gets a free 2 liter.

I called and asked how much a pie was. I was told 4 $. I was so surprised, I double checked by repeating it back … «Really… Four?! So if I wanted 5 pies how much would it be?» I was told $ 20. When I went to pick it up… They asked for 60 $… It was really 12 a pie! I only bought two pies and a soda for $ 20. Standard pizza. Nothing to return for.

Best slices in the area. Great taste to crunch ratio. Freshly made beef Patties are worth every penny. Pepperoni rolls are to die for.

Starving for post-call-shift eats around my hospital, I turned to M&R Pizza. To my surprise, the big, greasy slice was of fairly good quality. Nicely crisped crust, heavy but not overly salty cheese, an inoffensive tomato sauce… Not bad in a pinch, and actually better than most of the slice joints in my Midtown East neighborhood. Probability of return within 1 year: 100%, though only for the reason cited above (this capsule review is courtesy of my July«short and sweet in the summer» initiative)
