Pretty good deals for lunch and dinner specials! As for the food it’s what you’d expect from a fast food Chinese restaurant. I don’t understand the hate.

This place has awful customer service. Do not get delivery if you go here. I had placed a delivery order and was sitting at the front desk of the establishment and the delivery person did not knock on door or ring bell. He left the order sitting outside in the cold on the front steps. When I called the restaurant did not care at all. The women on the phone pretty much told me too bad if I don’t want it anymore to bring it back. But they are not doing anything. Not to mention I paid online so the driver got a tip for his awful service.

Great food and great service. This is my go to Chinese delivery place around the city.

This Chinese place was my go-to for a while. It was good and right around the corner. After my last visit I would not go back. I went in with a friend and placed my order, general gaus chicken — the dinner special. Once receiving my order I asked the woman at the counter if we can eat there, which seemed to be a difficult question for her. After saying, «hm» and«um» multiple times she told us no. We went back home to eat dinner and my food was horrible. I was shocked since every other time I have ordered it it was good. The General gaus chicken tastes just like a million different spices. It tasted so different all together that I couldn’t try and eat the rest. It was very disappointing.

Really surprised by all the negative reviews. I ordered take out from here and was perfectly satisfied with both the General Gaus Chicken and Lo Mein. Chicken was tasty and cooked well, as was the Lo Mein. Give this place a try people! Its really pretty good.

Picked up take out earlier. Food was terrible. Sesame chicken was a bit undercooked. Shrimp and lobster sauce was watery and I found a piece of plastic while I was eating it. The house fried rice was also undercooked too. I will never try this place again.

Got Garlic Brocolli and Spring Rolls via delivery here. The Spring Rolls have meat in them, hidden little pieces. So, since I don’t eat meat, the dog got those. Garlic Brocolli wasn’t too good either. PASS.

I gotta say, this place is a real hit or miss. What is consistent is the wonton soup is awesome, garlic chicken, chicken and veggies is great and the egg rolls.

I’ve sinced moved to JP, and ordered from them on September 2nd. Order came around the estimated time and was fine. Today, I placed an order and was notified 90 minutes later that I lived too far and they wouldn’t deliver my food. 90 minutes later.

Everything we ordered was disgusting. They clearly don’t care, even if you call to let them know. Just super upset. The worst part, which is crazy, was the won ton soup. The dumplings were disintegrated already, and gritty and rotten. Over all, it’s crappy fast food.

Ok Chinese food with some of the worst customer service I have experienced. They refuse to take responsibility for anything they do. If they say it will be there in an hour plan on seeing it much later. They will pretty much blame you for traffic. They offer coupons but don’t expect them to honor them. We used one on foodler and didn’t send us the free food then said they wouldn’t send it to us cause they didn’t want to send a driver with our food they forgot.

Is the food here any good? Not really. Is it open until 2 am and able to fill the aching void in your stomach after a long night of drinking? Absolutely, and for that, it deserves at least three stars. Hong Kong Café II knows its market.

I would give them a zero-star rating if I could. They did not used to be so bad. They used to be quite good. Quality has taken a major dive in the past year. I just ordered from them via Foodler. I know it’s bad because I tend to order the same thing and the quality has become soooooo awful. Egg drop soup has a metallic taste; fried shrimp looks awful and tasted like nothing, the batter is so thick! No finesse at all. The duck tasted like nothing. Obviously they’ve had a change of chefs. Really bad. Too bad because I was a regular customer. They better find another chef!!!

There is really not much positive I can say about this place. The Hot and Sour Soup was not that good, bland and really thick. The broccoli with peppers lunch combo that came with rice and boneless ribs … well I threw most of it out. Flavorless and quality was sub par. The ribs came in a separate bag and it was dripping oil/coating. Not really sure what it was. On top of that, delivery took forever, and the guy made me go downstairs to get the food.

Strange the name on the front awning(Lucky Wah Restaurant) does not match but the address does. Sadly this was not anywhere near what I was expecting for Chinese tonight. Sweet and Sour Pork was huge puffy breaded and tiny pieces of pork, little flavor and the sweet and sour sauce was horrible(so glad it was on the side and not on the pork). Egg Rolls were tasty, large handmade egg rolls. I don’t think I will be back here anytime soon.

Why so few reviews people? I almost didn’t try it because of how few there were, but then I remembered someone has to be the pioneer for others to enjoy. I ordered pick up, but it is a cozy little place. I think it had 3 tables inside and then there’s just the window to pick up your food. Everyone working there was really friendly too. I live across the street so the food was still hot when I got back. It’s not 5 stars, but considering the price and the quality, 4 stars felt right. Im totally gonna go back. Don’t set your expectations over the top now, but expect something good :)

A lazy Saturday evening, we had a hankering for Chinese delivery. Our staple is always General Gaos chicken(unoriginal, but helps set a standard for us). Ordering over the phone was frustrating and the lady was pretty short with us. For the food itself: we actually really liked the pork fried rice — nice fatty chunks of pork and I’m a fan of thickly diced onions that are more on the raw side. The chicken itself was too breaded and not meaty enough. And I lamented the absence of broccoli in the combo. You do get a choice of appetizer per usual. I ordered an egg drop soup with it — was pretty bland but I appreciated the addition of corn in it. I suppose our quest for solid GG chicken continues.

I am on an eternal quest for a go-to Chinese place in this town, and tonight’s journey took me to Hong Kong Café II(and by «took me to,» I mean«I ordered it online because it’s too hot to cook right now, and man, I’d punch a kitten for central AC»). I ordered what I pretty much always order from Chinese places: a sesame chicken combo with pork fried rice and an egg roll. That was $ 9.35 and the delivery minimum was $ 10, so I decided to splurge and get an order of beef teriyaki too(which was $ 8.95). The food took about an hour to arrive, which is pretty standard for this neighborhood, and was still pretty hot when I got it, which was a plus. As for the food itself, here’s how it rated on my plate: Pork fried rice: 1 out of 5 possible stars. Seriously, this was some disappointing, flavorless mush. It was lumpy, veggie-less, and virtually tasteless — I had to dump an entire cup of sauce onto it to make it edible, and I still wound up throwing out about two thirds of it. That made me sad. Sesame chicken: 3 out of 5. This wasn’t the best sesame chicken I have ever had, but it wasn’t the worst. It was decently crispy and had discernible pieces of meat, though the sauce was very sweet — after a while, too sweet. I ate about half but was not really inspired to finish the rest. Egg roll: 3 out of 5. It was kind of greasy and the dough was really thick, but, I mean, it was an egg roll. Greasy fried dough dipped in sauce is still pretty good even when what’s inside is kind of flavorless(which, sadly, it was). Beef teriyaki: 4 out of 5. I’m really glad I sprung for this, because it was the highlight of the meal. The beef was pretty tender and had a nice sweet-and-soy teriyaki glaze — it was the one thing other than the egg roll that I finished, and it is probably the one thing I would make it a point to order again. I would also try other beef dishes based on how good it was. As you can see, the average of my ratings comes out to 2.75, so I rounded up to 3. Honestly, even though it was overall underwhelming, the menu is so huge that I would definitely consider giving some other dishes a try the next time the mood for greasy Chinese hits. I also really like that they offer combo meals; many places around here don’t, and that option makes it easier to sample different things. However, I will pick and choose carefully next time — and my quest for a foolproof, go-to place shall continue.
