Excited to try out a ramen shop in Brooklyn, and the complimentary green tea was a great way to start a NYC winter afternoon. Service was fine, nothing bad nor exceptional. The spicy miso ramen, unfortunately, wasn’t as stellar as I hoped it would be. The menma is welcoming and sweet, the shredded pork was okay, but the broth disappointed. I would probably hop over to the city for a better bowl o’ noodles.

I was excited to try here but alas my vegetable ramen had only one flavor: scallions. Way too much scallion. No flavor except scallions. If you are going to have a ramen restaurant, some attention should be paid to serving ramen that tastes good. Very strange how bad the ramen tasted — especially since looks like money went into fixing the space up. Still trying to get the taste of scallions out of my mouth a few hours later! Maybe that’s why the restaurant was empty at 7pm on a Saturday night. Sadly I won’t be going back either.

I’m glad to have a ramen place in Brooklyn Heights and I have to say the ramen is pretty good here. I had the shoyu chicken ramen and I thought it was quite tasty. My husband had the spicy ramen and he liked it. We ordered the pork buns but we’re disappointed. The pork was very chewy and fatty. Definitely wouldn’t order that item again but we’d come back for the ramen. FYI they don’t serve alcohol here.

what a hidden gem of a place. nice and cozy, and ramen was fresh and amazing. Ordered the tonkatsu ramen and was pretty blown away. They give you two big chunks of pork, not like the usual spots who usually give two thin slices. I love how they also offer home made chili to add into the soup and that was too perfect. Best ramen in Brooklyn hands down.

I had the Tonkatsu ramen. It was sufficient. Not my favorite but I would definitely go back. It’s hard to find ramen in Brooklyn Heights/downtown Brooklyn. The only other one is Ganso. Though I do find the broth at Ganso richer, the price point at Kogane is more palatable. I would go back and I’m very curious about the ramen burger.

Excited to find a good ramen spot in Brooklyn. The atmosphere is trendy with an East Village vibe. It’s fairly small inside, but the hostess is very efficient in trying to get customers seated as quickly as possible. Service is very attentive and they served complimentary tea. The ramen burger was delicious. The meat was very tender and flavorful and the Ramen bun did not fall apart. The Shoyu Ramen bowl was excellent. Broth was flavorful and not overly salty and the white meat chicken was delicious. Overall, a nice spot for Ramen in Brooklyn Heights.

MmmmmMm. A nice warm bowl of ramen while it is cold outside. The resto is a little small, but very cozy. Tough if you come with a large group of friends. The tonkatsu was nice, and perhaps adding extra noodle would be more filling.

On my trip to New York for New Years I came across this spot on New Years Day. The story goes that eating long noodles leads to long life so what better way to start 2016 than to get ramen? To start, the place is cozy and friendly. Very clean with a traditional Japanese ramen vibe. We started with the fried wings as an appetizer. The wings were crispy and the chili lime sauce was very tasty. For my main I had the ramen burger. I honestly thought it would be ramen with beef. I was incorrect, in the happy but incorrect. It was actually a hamburger and the bun had been made with ramen noodles cooked in a circular mold. The burger was good and the ramen buns actually worked very well. If I lived here I’d definitely be back.

After a long night of New Year’s Eve party, I needed a hot soup to ease a terrible hang over. I thought this was a perfect meal and the first of many delicious dish that I’m going to eat this year. I’ve been in this area before but I’ve never noticed this place. It’s a few steps away from Clark St. subway station. Its a tiny restaurant with most likely 20 seats including the chef’s table. I like the way how its decorated, you definitely feel the Japanese vibes of the entire premises. The table and chair setting was unique and very creative. I would say its probably one of cleanest Ramen joint I’ve ever visited. Upon entering the premises, I was greeted by the server and directly seated. Just like a small restaurant in Japan a complimentary tea was served before the meal. My intention of this visit was to try their signature dish which was the ramen however I can’t resist to try the Chicken wings. I’m glad that I ordered it because it was absolutely delicious. It was tender and juicy. As for main course, I ordered the«SPICYMESORAMEN with pork belly. Oh man, the entire dish was extraordinary. The broth alone was flavorful and the noodles itself was cooked to perfection. If I lived here, this would definitely be my go to restaurant.

The food is really good — I’m a sucker for the octopus balls and pork bun. The ramen is really beautiful — the noodles themselves and the incredible broth! It’s amazing what they do with that little kitchen! It’s down the street from my apartment too which is pretty dangerous. Minus one star because the service could improve. Every time I’m there, they either forget something and ignore us, or are all over us, about to take our plates before we are done. I this this will improve though — just gotta work the kinks out!

The best ramen in Brooklyn Heights /Dumbo is finally here. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in the neighborhood. They opened in Fall 2015 with an assuming wooden front. Was served complimentary green tea on my visit for lunch. The ramen, both noodles and broth, are flavorful, and well balanced. The fresh ingredients really come through. Ordered the Spicy Miso — which wasn’t that spicy at all but had a great umami depth. Also ordered the stir fried yaki ramen which came with deliciously fresh vegetables. Also ordered their fried wings for an appetizer — those were crispy and delicious and the sauce was a great addition. The service was very attentive — though we were the only ones in there after the post lunch rush. Enjoyed the details like the wooden soup spoon, and the post wing wipes. Will keep updating this review as I explore other bowls and dishes but very excited to come back and to try their whole range of noodles. Eager to see how they impact the neighborhood and vice versa!

This place was great. The staff were tremendously friendly. The Chef was so warm, and happy. I really enjoyed the Brussel Sprouts, the Wings and my Ramen. It was legitimate Tonkotsu Ramen, the noodles and everything in it were great. They even were generous enough to give me a try of Eel Gyoza and something I can’t recall for desert. Tell your friends tell your friends. I’ll be back for sure. Great noodles, Great broth. I am looking forward to the next bowl already

With high hopes, my wife and I did a stop in to check out the new ramen joint. Our order was built around a journey of the menu in order to get a well rounded opinion. First, pork Gyoza which was tasty and cooked properly(a fine crunch but not hard). Second, Parco Ramen which comes in a giant looking bowl but is actually a rather average(but good) size. The broth was succulent and the noodles were done perfectly, a chew that was spot on. A fair portion of meat and all of the normal fixins. Third, side order of Ramen burger to check it out. Concept continues to be an intriguing one, however, I have found only one place that has ever delivered exactly what you want it to be… And that is at Smorgasburg Brooklyn. This one needed a little more time grilled and a little more fry on the noodle bun as it did not hold up to the burger(an almost 100% common mistake). Finally, the deep fried green tea ice cream. Outstanding crust, clearly a unique in house build. Ice cream was tasty, but I recommend placing the ice cream in a deep chill or flash freezer to make it extra hard before frying. Very close… Currently they do not have a liquor license so no Japanese beer, wine or sake… But maybe in the future. Net net– we will be going back. The food was above average and very fair. I believe they will continue to refine and nail the delivery. Order any of the Ramen soup(that’s why you are here) and supplement with an app or desert… But the soup is king. Enjoy!

The Tonkotsu and Shoyu ramen were delicious, authentic and well-portioned. The egg was perfectly soft boiled, the broth flavorful, and the noodles well cooked. We came on a Saturday evening, had no wait, and were immediately served by their polite and attentive staff. The interior is cozy, yet classy with beautiful solid slab wooden tables. The location is fantastic in quiet Brooklyn Heights seconds away from the A, C,2,3. Would highly recommend. Also, they now accept credit cards!

Ordered the Brussels Sprouts and miso eggplant — above average. The squid salad, dumplings and ramen were average. The service and portion are way below average(so tiny that I wanted to ask the waitress where the rest of my ramen went). The waitresses were not helpful, didn’t want to be bothered, didn’t pay attention to the bill splitting instructions. I love ramen and I don’t mind paying a premium for good quality food, but I don’t think I will come back soon.
