Crème brûlée mini cake was ah-mazing!!! Also the croissants are delish! A nice and cozy spot to pick up treats and enjoy them with friends.

Having been to the smaller and stuffier* one on Fulton that is absurdly close, I found this one more approachable, albeit with a weak cookie selection on my visit. *every single person stared at me for at least 2 seconds when entering through the already-ajar door on a subzero day

This is my go to coffee spot in the area. I love their soy lattes and criossants! I highly recommend any of the quiches as well as the duck salad. The staff is always pleasant and prompt and the coffee prices are pretty cheap for the area. Make sure you bring cash since they don’t take cards.

The ricotta, mushroom and truffle oil quiche was delicious. Savory crust, fresh ingredients, not overdone with the truffle oil. $ 4.50 The strawberry tart had a strong freezer burn taste. Probably defrosted or kept in the fridge for too long. That was a disappointment. It would have been a lot better without the smells of the fridge permeating the custard cream. $ 3.50 Staff on a Sunday was not too friendly. Kind of like the service you get at a takeout Chinese place. Like«Just say what you want and pay me.» The coffee is WEAK. I’m not impressed by Colombe coffee if it tastes like a $ 1.75 cup of coffee scented dish water. I couldn’t even finish it, it was so bad. All in all, 1 out of 4 things was good(horray for quiche). The service, coffee, and pastry left a lot to be desired.

I eat at Beny’s all the time — once a week ATLEAST. The almond croissants are awesome! Their iced coffee & lattes are great. You cannot go wrong with any breakfast choice. Last but not least the staff is super friendly and the service is great. They give me french lessons every time I walk in. I make a point to say bonjurrr when I walk in and OrvWahh when I leave. Merci Beny’s

Got their tiramisu and it was one of the best I’ve had. At $ 4.75, it was a pretty small piece, but worth it. Their almond croissant was chewy and crispy on the outside. Looks like they have a lot of good stuff!

Thanks to a month of dig sitting and walking to Prospect Park, I stopped at this place four weekends in a row on our way home. Delicious pastries, wonderful individual quiches, and a ton of other stuff I have yet to try. Post dog I wandered back for breakfast and had tasty eggs and salmon. Lots of people in the know stop on foot or in their cars on the way up or down Vanderbilt. Highly recommended.

A little out of the way, sitting on a relatively quiet stretch of Vanderbilt near Atlantic, but Beny’s is worth it if you’re looking for a quick and tasty breakfast/brunch. — La Colombe coffee, at atypically reasonable prices for NYC — delicious little mini quiches, and some very attractive pastries(I have abstained from the latter to date, but it wasn’t easy.) Everything looks like it’s made in-house, and there’s some really cool stuff, even if you are like me and think macarons are weird. — well-sized yogurt/fruit/granola parfaits, with several options to choose from(also a bargain at $ 4, I might add!) There are a couple small tables inside and outside(in good weather), and the service is friendly and quick. Nice little spot, with good product at even better prices.

This duck sandwich is amazing. It’s also a perfect size. I bought a bunch of petite fours — each was tastier than the one before it. Also bought 2 macarons — pistachio & chocolate. I was supposed to save a few things for tomorrow but I ate all of them! I may have to come back every week.

Really sweet guy from Nice opens a tiny bakery and bakes everything in house. Prices are beyond reasonable, and everything looks delicious! All I had was the mille feuille, but it was LOVELY. Will have to try brunch!

My friend and I went here for a 4pm meal, we were in search of coffee and a small bite. My iced latte was quite good, my friend loved her ham & swiss croissant and teeny salad. I ordered the savory french toast. It had a poached egg, bacon, spinach, a small slice of toast, and syrup. Flavorful and delicious, perfect small size. I also picked up an apricot tart to go. It was good, although not the best I have ever had. The food here is reasonably priced and tasty, I would go again when in the area. The tables are too close together and thus you may learn too much about people at neighboring tables(and accidentally hit them in the face with your ass)

I would like to officially make a complaint to Beny’s for being so damn close to where I live. Do you have any idea how difficult it is for me to resist the urge to go in and buy something deliciously fattening from you every week??? The nerve of this place! But in all seriousness, Beny’s is a small, simple, yet charming café with food and pastries bursting with flavor. The staff is also friendly and wonderful. Their chocolate almond croissants and fresh baguettes alone are worth a weekly visit. I’ve tried a lot of their breakfast food, and while I find most of the food I’ve had too greasy/heavy for my liking(just a personal thing), I’d highly recommend the savory french toast. You can get a half or full portion, and it’s poached eggs on top of a bed of spinach with pancetta bits and french toast. Delicious! They have tons of tasty desserts and pastries, so It’s really hard to resist when you’re standing in line and these pretty desserts are calling your name. Chocolate bomb, strawberry frasier, mille feuille, tarts, macarons — they all make eyes at me. Now that I’ve managed to gain some self control and NOT go on a weekly basis, I can honestly say that I fantasize about those chocolate almond croissants several times a week. I have yet to try their lunch specials, but I have tried their tuna nicoise salad and LOVE it. Not only is it delicious and healthy, it’s GIGANTIC. And it’s noticeably better at this location than the other one in Clinton Hill.

Small, cute breakfast place. Service is really kind and fast. The pastries were fresh and delicious. The cakes were not fresh at all and just ok. Apparently they DON’T make anything there, so pick only what’s daily delivered and is fresh. We asked what was fresh and what wasn’t, but they replied that they are not aware of when things are made! Anyway, great pastries and nice ambience

Hands down one of the best coffees I’ve had in a long time. The macarons were on point too and at $ 2 per piece(big size), it was a steal! The barista was really friendly and helpful when E and I paid a visit. And I was listening to him interact with another customer and he was really pleasant all throughout the exchange. Great little French shop right on busy Vanderbilt Ave.

Came here for Friday lunch and absolutely loved it! Duck sandwich is the way to go! The sandwich comes with Brie and arugula, and everything just melds perfectly. The flavor intensity of the salted duck is contrasted by the lighter Brie and semi bitter arugula. In terms of texture the creamy, melted Brie is a great complement to the crispier greens and tender, chunky duck pieces. The sandwich is so simplistically elegant! Filling-to-bread ratio, which is the most important sandwich metric in my opinion, was great, too, and you’re getting plenty of meat with your sandwich! My teammate who got the grilled lamb got a colossally loaded sandwich with the filling 3x the height of one bread piece! Service was also really great here. Quaint coffee shop feel with friendly staff! Will definitely be checking out their desserts(especially macarons soon)!

I don’t always drink coffee but when I do… I don’t really enjoy it. At all or that much. I think it has to do with the fact that when I was younger I had a really weak stomach. On top of that my father always tapped the breaks often which just made situations worse when we went on long trips in the car. To combat the issue my mother had her used coffee tins in the backseat which I could throw up in when I went to vomit. Sometimes I would just dry heave and that smell of coffee would go up my nostrils. Maybe it’s that smell and taste that I associate with unpleasant moments. Regardless of my odd story, when someone I know wants coffee I bring them to Beny’s. Beny’s is coffee I can stand which says a lot about them. Also I enjoy some tasty treats they have. Whatever you get it’s usually a sure bet. So when in the area and you need your caffeine fix(You junkie) head to Beny’s.

excellent food and cool staff(always friendly and welcoming)… I live right near this place, so I drop in often for pastries and they NEVER dissapoint(I love a local spot that’s always super consistent)… Must haves for me: — the chocolate almond croissant — goat cheese quiche — the hoddog + egg + swiss croissant — the macarons(dear God, the macarons here are sooo good — lemon and raspberry are my faves) I’ve heard lunch/dinner is great here too… will have to try it

This Beny’s is just as good, just as French, and just as reasonably priced as the original locale on Fulton Street. More often than not, it’s staffed by a nice guy named Michael. He’ll help you navigate through all the excellent pastries, snacks and more. However, after several visits I’ve found it nearly impossible to go wrong: the croissants are impeccable, the desserts are exquisite, and the savory snacks are delicious without fail. If you find yourself on Vanderbilt, stop in and grab a snack. Pick one up for me as well; I gave you this nice recommendation, and quite frankly, it’d be rude not to.
