Came in on a Sunday afternoon for a drink. It ended up being several drinks. Great service and great food to eat with beer. We ate chicken nachos, empanadas, and buffalo chicken wings. The bathroom stunk so bad like urine.

A great place to visit when you want to get drinks with a coworker or friend. Or even if you’re on a date. The drinks are really good and even better when they have happy hour/drink specials. Parking is a bit hard, but worth the hassle. I definitely recommend this place.

Got a little lost on my way there, was so relieved to have made it! There’s a $ 15 minimum to use a credit /debit card. The jukebox is free(as is Jenga), and there’s a Foosball machine that costs $ 1 per game. I found the bartender to be genial and quick to assist. Drinks are reasonably priced. There’s no printed drink menu, the options appear on a chalkboard above the bar.

Half off wine night Monday and Wednesday – can’t really beat that. I have a soft spot in my heart for dive bars and this place tugs all my heartstrings. If I lived closer, I would probably be here every Monday and Wednesday, but it’s close enough to my apartment that I plan to visit frequently.

This was a great place to to before a Friday night basketball game at Barclays. When we got there around 6, it was nearly empty. So we got a table and were able to chat with the bartender about his recommendations for food. What we wound up ordering, the pulled pork sliders and chicken quesadillas, were awesome. I’m pretty picky when it comes to chicken quesadillas and these were really, really good. Everything is made from scratch so it takes a little while to come out, but it’s well worth the wait. The one thing I didn’t like is how the happy hour specials weren’t advertised(this is a gripe I have with a lot of bars). We ordered 4 pints over the course of the meal, ranging from $ 6 – 7 each. On the way out, I saw a small sign by the door advertising pitchers of Blue Moon for 12 bucks. 3 of the 4 of our beers were Blue Moons, so we definitely would have taken advantage of it had we known about it.

Who wants to take me on in FOOSBALL??? BRINGIT! And when I win you have to buy me a basket of their DIRTYFRIES!!! I have wet dreams about these fries. They are so seasoned, and then the spicy dip takes you to O town. Seriously… O FACE.

Decent priced drinks, and fairly quiet when I was there. Good place to catch up.

I ordered delivery tonight from grub hub. I feel like I got ripped off. The fish and chips were over over well done and I couldn’t eat them. The fries were burnt and the fish was over fried and very greasy. Very disappointing. Won’t be losing money by ordering from them again

This place is getting 1 star for two reasons: 1. If you have pigs in a blanket on your menu, your hotdogs better be wrapped in a puff pastry. What they have are hot dogs wrapped in bacon and fried. TWOCOMPLETELYDIFFERENTTHINGS. 2. While trying to put in CC info into seamless last night, the website crashed and in the two seconds it took to reload the page, they had stopped delivering. When we called to remedy the situation, the person we spoke to was very short and said ‘if seamless says our kitchen it closed. it is.’ ANDHUNGUP. Don’t waste your time here. There are hundreds of dive bars that serve food. Find one of them and skip this place.

I can’t complain. Cheap happy hour drinks + chill crowd + UK-accented barkeep = do it. I can’t complain. Wow.

Decent local pub for a pint before the game at Barclay’s – at least that’s how I used it. I didn’t try the food. The beers were not impressive but they had Lagunitas on tap, and that’s good enough for me. Needs more seats.

Great place to have a drink and/or a bite to eat before going to the Barclay center. Looks kind of cheap when you first walk in but the prices were great and when we saw other people’s food, it looked so good we gave it a try. Glad we did. Excellent fresh Chicken quesadilla and some beers before a concert. One large screen tv had the Yankee game on which was good too. Great location.

I’m worried about this place since the Barclay Center just opened up. What was once a down-to-earth cheapish pub with decent food now seems to becoming just another place cashing in on the fact that it’s now near a major entertainment venue. There happens to be a Smashing Pumpkins concert tonight and, as a result, the pub is not honoring their posted signs for ½ price wine and $ 12 pitchers. When I asked the bartender, who is great by the way, he said he had to go by the prices on the computer. This place gets one star for nights when there’s some event at the Barclay and four stars on other nights for its excellent jukebox and selection of draft beer.

Bar is dark but it’s so cheap it doesn’t matter. The burgers are fantastic for the price point. Empanadas are a steal for $ 2.50 a piece. Get the dirty fries and TONS of chipotle mayo. Good place to watch sports with the projector on the wall instead of a TV screen — watching the Super Bowl here was perfect. Wings are so cheap! And crispy, which is extremely important. Always fry the little guys first. A good bar for a quick bite and a neighborhood staple. Though, I sort of hate the influx of people coming in because of the Barclay’s Center, it’s a good place to catch up with a friend over an extremely cheap drink.

Friendly bartender, cheap craft beers(and I do mean cheap), free jukebox, projector screen for sports/movies, and a great music selection(Nirvana unplugged, some 90s rock, some contemporary indie). $ 15 credit card minimum. Will try to come back for the food or to watch more of the Olympics. Seemed like a great place for both.

It’s always a good sign, when the juke box is playing«The Pixies» as you walk in. We just wanted a couple of beers and a place to hang for a bit. I liked the tap line, and we liked the service. The prices were reasonable, as well. After a bit, we started up a conversation with a nice kid named Eli. He was slightly delusional, as kids in their twenties are; but he was into sustainable agriculture, so I got to chat with a kindred spirit. I left happy, and slightly buzzed.

Great place to have a couple of pints on a nice, Saturday afternoon. And that is just what we did! After walking around in the neighborhood, I was thirsty and an ice, cold beer was all I could think about. It was also very sunny and beautiful out, so perfect to sit outside and sip on some brews! If you come in before 7pm, all draft beer is a $ 1 off. Very cool. I had a Righteous Rye and it was great! We got to sit outside(the space outside is a bit small, but got the job done) and catch up. The inside was also very airy as all the windows were open and the door. I’ll def be back to throw back a few more pints of cold drafts in the warm, Summer months!

Just a cool crowd, and friendly atmosphere in this very pubby hang out. The bartender was cool on this Saturday afternoon, and the patrons were friendly. Cool foosball table in the back, with some small outdoor seating also. Pet friendly bar. The food was recommended, but I didn’t try it. Cool place if you want to disappear for a couple of hours.

My husband and I had a day off together when we stumbled upon Black Sheep Pub and the day was made even more miraculous! Carlton was, hands down, one of the absolute best bartenders we have had(and we drink at a lot of different places wherever we live or travel). He was friendly and attentive at first and then we got to chatting and telling some dirty jokes and the day got even better. Carlton made me some fantastic mixed drinks. I told him what I liked and he made them perfectly! The food was also really great. The pulled pork sliders were great and we had a burger(can’t remember what now… can’t imagine why!!!) that was also really nicely done. I’ve been wishing for another day off to get over to Brooklyn for the Black Sheep Pub… it just may be the one thing beside Sahadi’s and the Arab restaurants that can get me over to Brooklyn.
